“If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen” (1Pet 4:11)
“Dear Malia, I am a born again Christian woman. I am happily married with three kids. I often feel sad and neglected by my husband. I know he is a good man and he works hard to provide for us. But I feel lonely in the daily routine of life. Every day I feel tired of life. I keep things in my heart because I do not trust people to share my pain with them. But today I feel free to talk to you. Please advise me…”
“Dear… Life is not easy! Even as a Christian you may feel tired and discouraged. You do all the ‘right things’ but you still feel ‘left behind’. You pray, you go to church but you still feel tired, spiritually and physically. As a wife, as a mother, as a worker in the church, in your office or doing business, you feel depressed. You forgot that to live a successful Christian life with a constant testimony of overflow, you need to be constantly filled with the Holy Spirit. Never forget this: God supplies the strength for you to live and to do His work. The devil will try to deceive you that you can live your life using your own wisdom, love and strength. This is a very common sin. Fast and pray for God will open your eyes to see that you are cheating yourself. And you also grieve the Holy Spirit! The Bible commands us to do God’s work with the strength He provides. This is the power of resurrection that raised Jesus from the dead, available to God’s children to live as witnesses to the Lord. If you use your strength to live, you shall desire to take the glory for your success in life. But God is jealous! He will not allow you to use your resources and become successful. But if you use God’s strength, the success is sure, you will be happy and the glory goes to God alone!
You need to pray for forgiveness that in the past, you have ignorantly refused to be filled with the Holy Spirit. The Joy of the Lord is your strength! Be filled with the Holy Spirit! Come back to me with a great testimony of change! You shall discover the secret of enjoying life even in the midst of troubles! I wish you well….”
