IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL

 

 

“For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him. Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing (1Thess 5:9-11)

Yesterday two wonderful men of God and pastors went to heaven. One was living here in Warri and the other one in Houston. Both were about 50. Both were married with children. My daughters wrote to me about their pain. They needed comfort as such a time as this. This is part of my answer to them:
“See his death as a transition to a higher glory and all will be well! We do not mourn like the pagans who have no hope! In life and in death Jesus is Lord! This death is another reminder that we should not waste any day, but we should do our best for as long as we breathe. For no one knows tomorrow except God and He will not tell…

As for me, I live my life in such a way, as each day is my last on earth. I do not postpone kindness! I do not store anointing! I am generous with my desire to show goodness! I let go of the past. I live in the present with the future in mind! I give all that I have so that I don’t take my grace to heaven, but invest it here on earth, to the hungry and needing souls. The peace that passes all understanding surrounds my mind and my heart. I am a pilgrim on this earth and I travel light. My salvation is sure. My destination is beyond any doubt! I do not fear and I do not worry about tomorrow! My life is in God’s hands!
Do not waste your pain! Use it for prayer and worship! It is well with your soul! God loves you! I love you too!”
