MY HEART LEAPS FOR JOY

This is part of the exhortation from our prophetic prayer meeting this evening. It is a call to true worship!

“Praise be to the Lord, for He has heard my cry for mercy.

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me.

My heart leaps for joy and with my song I praise Him” (Ps 28:6, 7)

Christianity is not a drama rehearsal. Christianity is not a joke. It is not an imagination. Christianity is real. It is a real life! To worship Jesus is real. Come to the feet of Jesus… Do not step on them… Come and touch them… Come and worship at His feet… Come and wash them with your tears… Do not waste your tears for the devil… Come and give your tears to Jesus… You say: ‘Pastor, I do not see the feet of Jesus…’…But I see them…For me they are real… I touch them… Come closer… Let the miracle happen!

‘Down at Your feet Oh, Lord, is the most high place…In Your presence Lord, I seek Your face…I live to worship You…’ Down at Your feet Oh, Lord I lift up my eyes and I seek Your face…I see Your face… In Your presence the world fades away….I see the King in His beauty and I see nothing else…Your song is my strength and my shield…in Your presence I fear nothing…The Lord has heard my cry for mercy…My heart trusts in Him…God helps me…men fail and disappoint, but my Lord helps me…my God is the faithful God…my heart leaps for joy…I praise You…I worship You…I bow before You… I love You in the morning…I love you at noon time…I love You in the evening…I love You in the darkest night…’

Tomorrow many people shall come to church…they shall be received, surrounded and covered by the Holy Spirit Himself, at the entrance…They will not be able to resist the love of God…they shall give their lives to Christ…The angels in heaven are tuning their harps in preparation for tomorrow… Many souls shall be saved tomorrow thru our church service…the anointing is increasing…there is an open heaven over us…the Holy Spirit is pouring God’s love and fills the sanctuary… Tomorrow shall be great…we live because Christ lives…

’When I look over the sea, the mountains and the hills, O Lord, Your awesome love, Your glory is all I see…When I consider Your love, Your loving-kindness and Your faithfulness…In all the earth, there is no one else like You…How Beautiful You are.. How marvelous You are…I live to worship You…”

NEGLECT NOT THE GIFT

“Do not neglect the gift that is in you…” (1Tim 4:14)
Each born again child of God has a deposit of the Holy Spirit in his heart. This is basic. He also has at least one spiritual gift so he can serve the Lord. This gift is given by the Holy Spirit for the glory of God and the benefit of the brethren. If you are a child of God, then you shall give an account to God for the gift He has given to you. It is your duty to stir the gift and not neglect it.

To neglect a gift it means to be careless with it, to disrespect it, to fail to use it or to appreciate it. It also means to be un-excited about it, to refuse to acknowledge it or to praise God for it. The gift remains dormant like a seed un-planted lying on the hard pavement. There is great potential in the gift but it all comes to nothing. The neglect of the gift gives the impression that God has not blessed you with anything special. You look like a prince that has no food to eat. People know that there is something wrong with you but they cannot find the way to help you.

What is the effect of neglecting your spiritual gift? The first thing you shall observe is that, with all your hard labor, you are still poor. This poverty is mysterious. You do not experience supernatural ‘open doors’. There is no breakthrough in your life. “A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great men” (PV 18:16). You shall be surrounded by ordinary men, poor men who are not able to help you. When you pray, God will not answer. He will direct your attention to your neglect of spiritual things in general and your peculiar gift in particular. You need to repent and do the right thing.

What is the solution? The opposite of neglect it means to lovingly care for the gift, to patiently invest in others until you see fruits, until you see it multiply. That is what you have to do! Please remember that the gifts of God are not for personal fame or wealth. They are tools for service. Pride is another hindrance in using your gifts. Humble yourself! Do not compare your gift with others. Use what God has given to you and see the results!

If you use it, God receives the glory for your gift. The Body of Christ shall benefit from your gift. This is the sure way of holy success. God shall reward you for your faithfulness. Great men shall help you. Prosperity shall follow you.Truth is simple but truth is also deep. May truth be merciful to you and set you free!

STIR UP THE GIFT IN YOU

“Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2Tim 1:6, 7)

If you are a born again child of God, the Holy Spirit is deposited in you. The Holy Spirit will also give you at least one gift so that you can serve God. Most believers have more than one gift. You are commanded to identify and to continue to stir up that gift deposited in you. God is God and you are you! God gives you the gift and you have to stir it up! It is your holy duty! God will ask for an account of your gift!

What does it means to stir a gift? Just imagine yourself drinking tea. You add sugar then you stir the tea so that the sugar dissolves and spreads in the tea. That is one picture. When cooking, you stir the soup so that the fire will touch all the soup. If not, some ingredients will remain cold and uncooked. Stirring your gift therefore it means to bring unity, harmony to your body soul and spirit. The passion of Jesus must touch every area of your life, and not just the ‘spiritual’ part of you. This stirring is done by studying the Word of God and by prayer. Identify your gift and use it always, no matter how little. Keep the gift ready to be used anytime. This is called revival. No matter what men say, you stir your gift! You need to be grateful to God for His gift. He may call you to use it for His glory at very short notice. You must be ready to perform ministry, day and night! You do not want to be found unprepared and embarrassed before God!

The enemy to this stirring is the evil spirit of fear. This demon attacks with intimidation, so that you run away and abandon your gift. He makes you afraid to even remember your gift. The devil is a liar. He will tell you that using your gift will attract troubles or will make you poor. He will deceive you to ignore and neglect the gift of God in you! He will say that there is no gain, no usefulness or profit in using it. The devil will say that stirring your gift is a waste of time or too much trouble! These are all lies!!! Reject them! Reject the spirit of fear!

Be filled with the Holy Spirit! Be filled with power, love and sound mind! Right now get up and start praying, in English or in tongues! Stir up that gift of preaching, teaching, singing; dancing, writing; cooking, helping others or anything else you do for the Lord! Godliness with contentment is great gain! Pay the price for revival in your heart! Why do you want to be lazy? Get up! Start praising God! For He is worthy!

MY FAITH STANDS

“And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren” (Lk 22:31, 32)

This conversation between our Lord and Peter is just before the Cross. Jesus warns him and encourages him in the same time. ‘Satan has asked for you…’ Satan, the accuser of the brethren has asked for permission to ‘sift’ Peter. Interestingly, that permission was granted by God. The word ‘asked’ is a strong word meaning ‘insisting, demanding to come for trial’. This reminds us that the devil is a personality and not just an ‘evil influence’. Here we see that some of the devil’s wicked desires are granted to him by God. In particular, the devil shall enjoy sifting the believers. But the process of sifting shall give glory to God at the end. To sift it means to violently shake something with the intent to separate the components. In particular, sifting wheat means to shake the grains until both chaff and impurities go away and only the good grain remains.

This is a great revelation: the devil is allowed by God to shake, to sift, nations and people.  In the following verse the devil is called ‘the man’: “Is this the man who made the earth tremble, who shook kingdoms; who made the world as a wilderness and destroyed its cities, who did not open the house of his prisoners?” (Is 14:16, 17)

Peter boasted of eternal love for Jesus but he did not know his weakness and he was ignorant of his fears. The sifting shall remove all fleshly empty boasting, religious worship and flattery praises. The fleshly things shall be shaken and fall but the eternal things of the Kingdom shall remain. This is the promise of God: “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.” Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain” (Heb 12:26, 27). The faith of the believers shall be purified and become like gold that passes thru fire. Maturity and strength shall be the result of shaking and sifting.

At the Cross, our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Prince of Peace and the Desired of the Nations, completely destroys the power of the devil and ends the sifting. No man can stop the process of ‘sifting’ except our Lord Jesus Christ and His intercession. Behind the devil our Lord is the One who supervises and limits the loss. Jesus winnows His grain. “His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” (Mt 3:12). This is the promise of our eternal High Priest, that during all trials His prayer shall sustain us and His grace shall be sufficient to carry on. ‘I have prayed for you…” Say it to yourself: “Jesus Christ prays for me, right now!” That is all I need to know right now!

The devil wants to destroy your faith but Jesus says that your faith shall not fail. The devil wants you to backslide but Jesus says that no one of His sheep shall be lost. The devil wants to destroy the unity of the Spirit in the Church and in your marriage. But the end of such a trial of fire is joyful strength that shall be a testimony to the other brethren. I encourage you to look unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith! Kings and kingdoms shall pass away, but there is something about Your name…JESUS…“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Rom 8:38, 39)

The road may have been long and difficult but your future is better than anything you have imagined! The glory of Christ shall be revealed to the nations! The hearts of men shall be purified and they shall see the Lord! The weeping shall be replaced with rejoicing! The weak shall be strong and the poor shall be rich! There is a turning of the tables! The praises shall increase! The church shall be stronger! Your marriage shall be sweeter! Great shall be your children’ peace! May Christ glorify Himself in your life today!

PRAYER REQUEST AND PRAISE REPORT

PRAYER REQUEST
A young man in his early thirties who attends our church was killed by armed robbers last night. He was walking home when some criminals came in a ke-ke asking for his cell phone. We do not know the details but they shot him in the abdomen. He was rushed to a hospital, had emergency surgery but died this morning. He leaves behind a young wife (who is pregnant) and a two years old daughter. They were in the church yesterday when we had our Holy Communion service.

Please pray especially for the wife! That her faith will not fail! Pray that the Holy Spirit will comfort and help her and her daughter in these difficult times.

And for all of us, let’s read Psalm 91, the eternal Word of God that stands forever! May God strengthen and encourage the Body of Christ in Father’s House Bible Church, Warri, Nigeria! May God be worshiped forever! We declare that Jesus Christ is Lord!

PRAISE REPORT (the next day)

This is good news! In the midst of darkness , the light of God shines! This morning we prayed that God will glorify Himself in this painful situation! We prayed that what the devil meant for bad, God will turn it into good! This testimony is given to the glory of God, to the shame of the devil and for the encouragement of the believers!
Some sisters came this afternoon to give me the testimony concerning the young widow. She was better today. She was still weeping but she insisted to take care of her daughter. She fed her baby by herself. She told the sisters from the church who are there to visit her that something special happened at the hospital. The husband survived the surgery. When he became conscious he asked to see his wife and daughter. He then blessed them. He then removed his marriage ring and gave it back to her. He made peace with God and with his family. He told them he is ready to go to God. He prayed and he died in perfect peace. This window of grace was given to him by God so that he can settle his soul and confirm the testimony of salvation. He did it to eliminate any doubts. As a church, we also have peace that, by the grace of God, he died as a believer in Christ. To God be all the glory!

FEAR FREE

PRAISE REPORT

I just received this letter from one of the young men in our church.

“Good morning Ma’am.

During the period of the passing over to the new place I have been gripped with one kind fear , fear of armed robbers coming into our house, fear that something will happen to my family as they are coming home from the market, plenty different fears , fear that when I am driving police will stop me for what I don’t even know, then the most gripping one is fear that Effurun boys will break into the new site of our church, just plenty nonsense fears…

I became lean spiritually, I sought the face of God , and waited with hope that on Saturday class God may give a solution to conquer this fear, …. I came to church last night with one heart. “Oh Lord I want to see you and know what is needed to know to conquer this fear”

In the midst of the service, it was like fire, water, oil, and the blood of Jesus, together poured on my clothes the stain stuck and the fear swallowed …I got a deep understanding of the word of God ” Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:” I asked myself even if the worst happens, I will not turn back or relent in my chase after God…After this miracle, the blessings and assurance of God overshadowed my senses. I felt free…I didn’t have the power to not share it with you to the Glory of God in Jesus name Amen.

Your son in Christ…”

My answer to him:

Thank God for everything! You can see that all our problems are basically spiritual. If we do not deal with them with spiritual means provided for us in the Bible, we may fall into the natural trials and temptations. The Effurun boys shall come to church, not to steal and rob, but to give their lives to Christ. “There is no fear in Love for perfect love drives away all fears” (1Jn 4:18). You are a child of God! Love God and man! Then you shall be fear free!

Love in Christ alone,

Malia

THE WORD OF HIS GRACE

“So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified” (Ac 20:32)

This evening we had our first prophetic prayer class in the new sanctuary. We worshiped God with singing and dancing. Then we interceded for the land of Effurun, where God was pleased to give us this building. We took authority against every territorial ancestral spirits and bound them in the name of Jesus. We rejected sicknesses, fear, poverty, intimidation, manipulation, seducing spirits, poverty and empty religion. Then the message came:

God the Father is a Builder. God the Son, Jesus Christ is also a Builder. The Holy Spirit is a Builder. “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it” (Ps 127:1). Jesus said: “I will build My Church…” (Mt 16:18). One wonderful peculiar way God builds His people is by ‘the Word of His Grace’. In this church, we preach the Gospel of Christ Crucified and Resurrected. It is also called the Word of God’s Grace. This preaching is designed to build up the believers in Christ. Any other type of preaching does not build the character of the people. This is the sad story of many churches. Even after going to church for many years, the people still remain spiritually weak and unstable.

What is grace? Grace means the unmerited favor that comes from God to the believers, purely as a result of the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross. No man ‘merits’ salvation. The only thing we ‘merit’ is going to hell. God the Father sent God the Son to come on earth to display and distribute the fullness of ‘grace and truth’ (Jn 1:14). The Holy Spirit helps us to understand this truth. Before Jesus came on earth, men had no idea of what ‘grace and truth’ really is. In Greek, the word ‘grace’ means the saving influence of the Holy Spirit upon the hearts of men with its peculiar fruits. The soul who experiences the grace of God becomes eternally saved, full of joy, strong, generous and grateful. This is  a fact proven by millions of believers in all generations: the more you understand the revelation of this amazing grace the stronger you shall be! This revelation of grace is designed by God to ‘build you up’. In Greek, the word ‘build’ it means to have a strong foundation; to become spiritually stable, bold, strong, mature and fruitful!

We want to know Jesus in a deeper way. We want to know His amazing grace. This is our desire! “Father God, please take all the glory!” We ended the meeting with joyful thanksgiving for the revelation of the word of His grace!

THE KING’S HEART

“”The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes…a king’s heart is a water stream that the LORD controls; He directs it wherever He pleases” (PV 21:1)

God is sovereign. He is in charge of all His creation. He controls everything, especially the hearts of human beings. The heart of the kings is ‘in the hand of God’. When you read ‘kings’ it does not means only the royal class. It also means the believers in Christ who are ‘kings and priests unto our God’. ‘Kings’ are leaders with higher authority than other men. They have the right to rule, make decisions, punish or reward. This is the truth:  God directs the hearts of men. In Hebrew, the word means to stretch, to spread out, to bow down, to turn aside, to offer a gift or cause to yield. Only God can make a greedy man to be generous; a coward to be bold like a lion; a reckless adventurer to become a prudent, wise man; a proud person to become a humble worshipper and a stubborn one to become faithful and obedient. No man can change the heart of another man. No man can change himself. The wife cannot directly change her husband and the husband cannot change his wife! Only God does that!

This is a practical application and my testimony. My husband is my ‘king’. I shall use my experience as a wife (of 41 years) to encourage other younger wives. I see here that the heart of my husband is not in his hands. I see here that there are two hearts (two wills): my husband’s own (a small one) and the heart of God (the bigger one). It is wrong for me to try to touch, to bend, to influence or to manipulate my husband’s will (heart). Over the years I have learned to touch God’s heart on behalf of my husband. This way, my love for him is always holy, easy and safe.

The heart of kings is like a river. The water stream is always mysterious. Trying to control the river can have terrible results. Let the river be! Let the river go where it wants to go!

There are three main sources that supply water to the rivers. The first one is the snow from the mountains, when it melts in the springtime. Spiritually, the coldness of my husband’s attitude can melt with the kiss of the Holy Spirit sunshine. As I pray for him, what was hard becomes soft and gentle. Another source of water for the rivers is the rain. Spiritually speaking, the more I praise God for the life of my husband, the more the rain of prosperity comes and the river of blessings (his heart) will be full with love for God and for me, his wife. Lastly, the river is supplied with water from the underground streams.  This also is a spiritual picture. The more I go into the secret place and pray for my husband (when he does not see me), the more the power of resurrection life supplies water to my husband’s heart. This manifests as totally unexpected happiness, blessings and miraculous anointing for ministry. This proves the grace of God upon our marriage.

Lastly, I want to say this: I always expect supernatural events and miracles in our lives and ministries. I am just a human being. For me, a river can only flow downwards. But God can make rivers to go up on the mountain. For nothing is impossible for God! Let the miracle of healing, freedom, prosperity be manifested in your lives today!

NEVER EMPTY OR DRY

“The flour jar did not become empty, and the oil jug did not run dry, according to the word of the LORD He had spoken through Elijah” (1Kg 17:16)
olive oil
For more than a year a dear sister in the church regularly, faithfully and quietly brings me a gallon of olive oil. For all this time I did not have to buy cooking oil with my money. The most interesting part is that she ‘knows’ when the oil is getting finished. Before the last drop is used, she supplies another gallon. It is surely the Holy Spirit using her and reminding her at just the right time to bring more oil. God will reward her for her kindness!
This is a great lesson for me. God knows everything. He knows when things start, when things are used and when they are getting finished. His promise of supply comes just in time. Not too much, not too little, not too early and never too late. This sister did not send many gallons at once for me to be tempted to sell the oil and make money. The provision is just enough for the present needs in my home. There shall be no waste of resources with God. His promise is that my store, my life will never be empty or dry! In Hebrew these words mean the following: destroyed, expired, fail, faint, waste, want, bereaved, to decrease or to lack. As a believer I cannot experience these things! By the grace of God I shall experience the opposite: I shall have more than enough to be generous in every occasion, to the glory of God!
This is a great lesson for us all: Fear Not! God is faithful to His promises! If you are waiting on God and you are praying for food, money or other resources be assured that God knows all about it. As a child of God, He wants you to trust Him daily. For a child of God, life is a walk of faith. God gives you breath without money. Why will He not generously give you other good things? He will! He has never failed in the past and He will not start now! God knows His job. God supplies the needs and also supplies the answer to your needs. Pray to God and then wait for the answer. Just vow to give God all the glory for the generous, more than imagined supply!
(In the picture is what was left from the old gallon and the new one supplied yesterday)

CAST OUT THE BONDWOMAN

“Nevertheless what does the Scripture say? “Cast out the bondwoman and her son, for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.” So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman but of the free” (Gal 4:30, 31)

One of the most common mistakes we make as believers is to confuse two women: Sarah and Hagar. These two women were both mothers. Abraham was the father of their children. What was then the difference: Sarah was a princess of Jehovah and Hagar was her house maid, a slave bought with money from Egypt. God gave Abraham and Sarah a promise that they shall have a son who will be part of the covenant of grace, freedom, supernatural increase and eternal blessings. Hagar received no promise like this. Her child was of flesh and born into bondage.

Let’s say you meet Sarah and Hagar. Can you tell the difference? If you use natural senses or human wisdom the answer is NO! Sarah was the princess but she was often found in the kitchen, cooking for her husband and son. When the three holy men came to visit their tent, Abraham told her to cook food for them. Sarah can be seen with flour on her skirt and oil on her apron. Hagar was also busy with household chores but she was never happy there. Often, she will remove the dirty clothes and dress well. Because she was much younger than her mistress, she was more attractive to the eyes of men. These two women lived together for many years. Both were ‘wives’ to the same man, Abraham. Each had a son for him. Many people thought that they were ‘mates’. It was impossible to tell the difference at the beginning of the story…

But there is a great difference between these two women. Like Esau and Jacob, these women are spiritually opposite: one is flesh and the other is spirit. You need to pray and wait for God to reveal their identities. Hagar is a woman of the flesh. The works of the flesh manifest in her (sexual immorality, hot temper, slander, greed, manipulation…). For a long time these may be covered with a religious paint, with good works of ‘ministry’. But sooner or later the rain of the Spirit shall wash the paint and the truth shall be seen. If you thought she was Sarah, you shall be shocked and disappointed when the light of God shines in the darkness. Once you see clearly that Hagar is a bondwoman, you need to drive her away, for ‘a slave does not have a permanent place in a home’ (Jn 8:34, 35). No slave can receive an inheritance in his master’s home. Only the sons and the daughters inherit the father’s blessings. Are you a son or a slave?

Sarah is a woman of God. She is not perfect but she is born of God. The fruit of the Holy Spirit shall manifest in her (love, peace, patience, joy, kindness, self-control…). For a long time, these ‘exotic’ fruits may also be covered by a religious paint. But sooner or later truth shall be revealed. If you thought she was Hagar, again you shall be disappointed, for Sarah is God’s royalty. She is the true mistress of the home and ‘shall dwell in the house of God forever’ (Ps 23:6).

If you are truly born again, then you are of the lineage of Abraham and Sarah. Your inheritance is in Christ. You are living by faith and enjoy God’s promises. You are free and free indeed. The anointing of the Spirit destroys all yokes of bondage. You shall mature from faith to faith. You shall be promoted from glory to glory.

Lesson: do not only look for you spiritual father. Look for your spiritual mother too, for there the secret of your inheritance is. You are either a prince or a pauper. You are either free or a slave of men. Truth may be disappointing at the beginning but welcome the truth that sets you free. Your relationship with Sarah is eternal. Your relationship with Hagar is temporary. Seek the things above, the eternal things! Receive your inheritance kept in heaven for you, which will never fade or pass away. Then you will never be disappointed. Peace and joy shall be your portion. Goodness and mercy shall follow you forever! In Jesus name, Amen!

In Christ I declare:
I am a born again child of God!
Christ is my eternal, sure inheritance!
In Jesus name
Amen!

I WILL SING

PRAISE REPORT
This is a letter from one of the worship leaders in our choir. It is a testimony t the glory of God, to teh defeat of the devil and as an encouragement to the brethren who read it.

“Good morning ma,I just read your post…Really the devil is fighting but he will not succeed. After the rehearsals on Saturday,I also had an attack.I had this severe pain inside my throat that I couldnt swallow or speak out well,I thought I won’t be able to minister,I was releaved a little then suddenly as the praise went on it came again, this time the pain was so severe, causing me to feel feverish, with the pain extending to my head and joints,I could barely stand, had to leave the stage. When we got home it doubled.I was almost tempted to call the doctor. .But instead the Holy Spirit led us to pray, gradually the pain subsided…

Right now am fine,no temperature no pain, thank God for healing me…I had to share this, because it was clear that this was an attack. But as usual God will always win.Nothing can stop the worship,my voice is to worship God and God alone…The Church is marching on and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.He who has begun this good work in Father’s House Bible Church is faithful to complete it.To God be the glory great things He has done!”

“But as for me, I will sing about Your power. Each morning I will sing with joy about Your unfailing love. For You have been my refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress” (Ps 59:16)

NIGHT WARFARE

PRAISE REPORT

Today we celebrated Jesus Christ in our new and beautiful sanctuary. It was a wonderful Sunday service. The praise reached heaven. Everybody danced, sang and shouted the name of Jesus. Everybody left home blessed. What very few people knew is that this Sunday service is a miracle. We could have had a ‘silent’ service.

Last night, after the final choir rehearsal in preparation for the Sunday service, something happened. Pastor Leigh wanted to test the sound of the instruments once more before going home. The instrumentalists and the sound crew were the only people left in the auditorium. Suddenly, our two big main amplifiers got burnt. There was no sound anymore. This is what you call ‘attack’. It was a spiritual emergency! Pastor Leigh and the brethren worked throughout the night trying to find the electrical fault responsible for this damage. No one went home trying to restore the sound. But it was not possible to repair the amplifiers in the night. The situation was desperate. We almost had no sound this morning! At about 2:30 am they started phoning their friends, who is willing to lend us amplifiers for the morning service. Men had to wake up from sleep. Thank God a man said that we can come and take his amplifiers. A brother drove the church van in the night to that man’s house, and together they went to his shop where he hires musical equipment. This is not easy. Finally, the amplifiers came at about 4 am. They connected them and this is how sound came for this morning service. No one slept even a minute.

As for me, I could not help them but I could pray. The verse the Holy Spirit gave me throughout the night was this:    “On this Rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it” (Mt 16:18).  Indeed it was an attack. The devil saw something of what was coming this Sunday morning. He tried to stop the service, but failed. To God be all the glory!

I want to give all the glory to God! I also want to ‘give honor to whom honor is due’. God used Pastor Leigh, the sound crew and the instrumentalists to bulldoze ‘the gates of hell’ last night. These are the names of the humble and faithful brethren, the soldiers of Christ who stood in the night, serving God and the church in the hour of need: Ufuoma, Oyibo, Dodo, Marcello, David, Akpomiemie, Emma, TJ, Kelvin, Josiah, Tega and Goddey. May God bless you all! “Behold, bless you the LORD, all you servants of the LORD, which by night stand in the house of the LORD” (Ps 134:1)

Father, Son and Holy Ghost! Please, receive all the glory!

CROSS OVER

ANGELS IN MY GARDEN

“And the Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy you with all good things, and keep you healthy too; and you will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring” (Is 58:11)

Since we moved to our new house in the ‘Promised Land’, the Lord has revealed Himself to me in so many different and wonderful ways. Birds sing praises to God and the flowers bloom for His pleasure and mine. This morning I saw two girls watering my garden. I don’t know them. They looked like sisters. One was about twenty years old and the other one much younger. They came with their buckets to fetch water for themselves. But before they left, they watered my flowers too. This is purely a work of love. This is the sign that they are not thieves but girls in need of water. I took a picture of the younger one watering the flowers. She looked like an angel to me. I did not want to ‘disturb’ them so I took the picture from behind the mosquito net at my kitchen window. To me, this is so wonderful. It is a sign that we have received favor with God and with the people in this neighborhood. To God be all the glory!

As for these wonderful mysterious girls, I pray that God will guide them continually, that He will keep them healthy and strong! That God will use others to ‘water’ their lives and to encourage them! I pray that the blessings of Rebekah, who volunteer to water the camels of Eliezer, come upon them. May they know Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord! May they humbly and faithfully serve God, all the days of their lives! At the right time in the future, may they marry wonderful men of God! May they live godly and fruitful lives, to the glory of God! In Jesus name I pray, amen!

GOD’S BIRDS

“I know all the birds…” (Ps 50:11)

We lived in our home for thirty years. Last Sunday we re-located.  There was a silent wish in my heart. I did not want to share it with anyone for, among so many more important things to do, it seems like nothing. But this is a true story. Our children can confirm it. Since they were small, there is a bird who always sings a very complicated song on the roof of our house. She was our ‘clock’ in the morning.  Her song starts at 6:10 and ends at 6:15. It is the same song, perfect each time, never missing a beat. It is something like that: DO-LA-SOL-FA-MI-RE D0…. She repeats that many times. Then she ends with SOL-LA-SOL-LAA-SOOOOL-LAAAA…LAAAAAAA….

I read somewhere that birds sing in the morning to find a mate and to declare their territory. The scientists said that early morning, when the air is fresh, and before the humans come with their loud noises, the sound of the birds travels faster. This is science. But for me, the birds belong to God and they praise Him early in the morning. They challenge us to remember our Maker and ‘from the rising of the sun, until the going down of the same’, to praise God!

My sadness was that I left my birds (sorry, God’s birds, behind). I only told my husband that I wish the birds come here. He encouraged me that God can do it! Thank God for believing and encouraging husbands!

The first three mornings we woke up without their songs. Can you imagine? I really missed them! But this night we slept with the windows open so that we can here if there is even a whisper of praise at dawn, from the little birds. I am too excited to write well this morning. Yes, you guessed right! The birds are here!!! I do not know if the same family of birds followed us or God sent their relatives to our new home. But the birds, singing exactly the same tune, at exactly the same time, the birds are here!!! Is God not wonderful? He is sooo wonderful to me!!!

Little birds, let’s sing the love songs of Jesus! Let’s declare that this territory belongs to Jesus! God’s name must be praised! We declare that Jesus is Lord over Warri and Effurun, Nigeria! The praise must continue!

“Father, I thank You! From my heart, I thank You! For caring for us, for knowing our silent pains and unspoken wishes, I thank You! For answering our prayers more than we can imagine, I thank You! For the many blessings that come from You, always without sorrow, big or small, I thank You! For the flowers and the birds, I thank You! For the privilege to know and praise Your Name, I Thank You! For sending Your Love to us, I thank You! Father, Son and Holy Ghost, I thank You! We vow to always give You alone all the glory! In Jesus name we pray, amen!”

THE FIRST PRODUCE

“The manna stopped the day after they ate this food from the land; there was no longer any manna for the Israelites, but that year they ate the produce of Canaan” (Josh 5:12)

Today, the 12th of October 2015, is our first day in “The Promised Land”. After all the labor yesterday, with the ‘crossing over’, today looks so calm and beautiful. The first thing I noticed is that there are no mosquitoes or flies over here. This is a miracle. We left them behind. Thank You Lord. This morning we bought chicken, onions, tomatoes and pepper from this part of town. The past favor of desert ‘manna’ is gone. We need to ‘patronize’ the farmers from this part of town. From now on we need to ‘eat the produce of our Canaan’. There shall be new tastes, new feelings, new points of intercession and new mercies each mornings.

I am in my brand new beautiful kitchen. At 11:10 this morning I started cooking my Nigerian chicken stew. It shall be the first of many here. In the past, my kitchen has always been my office and my ministry. It shall be the same here. That can never change! My iPod is playing music… ‘Be still my soul, The Lord is on your side…’

This letter is written from a happy house wife. Please thank God on behalf of me and my family! May God reveal His wonderful plans for your lives today. May you find Him in the small things of life. May you never let go of His hand. May the praises increase! To God be all the glory! Great things He has done!

CROSS OVER SUCCESSFUL

This was our last Sunday service in this building. So many memories… So many people got saved here. Many got married and children were dedicated to the Lord. The Word of God was preached and the worship went up like the evening sacrifice. We have a wonderful past for which we are grateful to God.

But today we are ready to cross over into our Promised Land. We are witnessing history.  Pastor R Leigh preached from the Book of Joshua Chapter 1:1-9. He said that in this period of transition, we are commanded by God to be strong and courageous as we now move on. This building was originally a hospital. The anointing here is a ‘hospital anointing’. But the new building was built specifically to be the house of God. The anointing will be higher and purer. We shall have an inheritance over there. The sick shall be healed, the singles will get married, the barren shall be fruitful and the oppressed will be free. That will be our spiritual inheritance. We are confident of good things to come. We shall not be afraid of the challenges ahead. We shall not be confused by what we may see; we shall not draw back in the face of opposition. We shall move from faith to faith, from glory to glory!

Father’s House is a city on a hill, giving light and hope to the nations. God shall use us to glorify Himself and to ignite revival in this land. We have this wonderful promise: wherever we shall go in this life, the Lord is with us! People and circumstances may change, but the Lord Jesus Christ is the same forever. That revelation shall be our anchor. Yes, it is time now to let go of the past, and enter our Promised Land.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” (Josh 1:9)
