FAITH IN THE PROMISES OF GOD

THE POWER OF THE GOSPEL (21)

Pastor (Mrs) Silvia Lia Leigh preached another sermon in the series called ‘The Power of the Gospel’. Her main text was taken from the Book of Romans: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” … being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus… What then shall we say that Abraham our father has found according to the flesh? For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt. But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness… (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.” And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.” Now it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him, but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification” (Rom 1:16, 17; 3:24; 4:1-8; 4:17-25)

Pastor (Mrs) Silvia Lia Leigh said that the Gospel is not just a doctrine. It works practically. The Gospel is God’s solution for sin and the problems of life. It is a unique ‘solution’. Nobody helps you to be saved and to live successfully as the Gospel of Christ crucified and resurrected. The Gospel addresses all the problems of life, from the lowest (how to die) to the highest (how to go to heaven). Preaching the Gospel challenges man to think for himself, to repent of sin and come to Jesus! In Adam, the thief called King Sin, comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. But Jesus came to bring Life abundantly, eternally! In Christ, Grace is King! Christianity is always victorious! This is the power and the glory of the Gospel! Christianity works thru the Word of God which is truth, and the Holy Spirit! It produces faith, strength, wisdom, peace, and joy! The Gospel is not vague. The Gospel is a spiritual ‘unit’.  You need the truth, sound doctrine, to be set free from sin, anxiety, fear, and depression. If a man is in trouble, do not cheer him up first. Point him to Christ crucified and resurrected! Christianity has no help or hope for the unbelievers! They must surrender to Christ first! To be saved you need to come to Jesus, confess that you are a sinner, repent of your sins and surrender your life to Jesus Christ! You do not need all these doctrines. The reason who we preach these doctrines is so that we grow and mature as believers. Praise the Lord!

THE DOCTRINE OF THE PROMISES OR GOD says that God has given many promises to man in His Word and He fulfils them all! These are promises of Grace. God is able and God is faithful! “For as many as are the promises of God, in Christ they are [all answered] “Yes.” So through Him we say our “Amen” to the glory of God” (2Cor 1:20; AMP). What did Abraham discover ‘after the flesh’? He discovered three ‘negative’ things that cannot save or justify: works, the circumcision and the law. But Abraham discovered great ‘positive’ things. The most important revelation he had is that he is saved and justified by Grace thru faith in the God of Grace. Abraham discovered the power of the Word of God, the power of faith and hope in the promises of God. He discovered that “God cannot lie” (Titus 1:2). There are 8810 promises in the Bible. God fulfils them all! God’s promises are supernatural, wonderful, and big. They are not natural promises. These promises are too big for the natural faith. Wishful thinking and common sense cannot assess God’s promises. Try to imagine this: God speaks to a man 100 years married to a woman of 90 that: “I have made you a father of many nations”. Naturally, it is impossible to believe such a mighty promise. That is why the unbelievers laugh at the Gospel. But Abraham believed this promise “In the presence of Him whom he believed”. That is why he was called ‘the friend of God’. Faith is simple and pure. You need to have a child-like attitude to exercise this faith in God. Sin has complicated matters. Doubt and unbelief have made our minds too complicated and confused. For us, doubt is easier to entertain than faith. Doubt is our ‘comfort zone’. We need to rise in the Spirit and trust God again! Trust His Word and promises. Be filled with the Holy Spirit!

FAITH AND HOPE IN GOD’S PROMISES

Abraham discovered the power of faith and hope in God’s promises! He discovered that faith and hope never fail! He will never be put to shame, become disappointed, or regret having faith and hope in God Almighty! That is why God ‘imputed’ righteousness to him! FAITH is defined as a present belief, confidence, and total trust in God. It is also faithfulness. Faith is not on and off; it continues faithfully to the end of life. All the ‘heroes of faith’ in the Bible kept their faith to their last breath. We need to do the same. HOPE is defined as a joyful constant expectation of good in the future. The promises given by God in His Word will one day become manifest visibly. Hope is invisible. Faith sees the invisible hope and carries on until it becomes visible. Hope fulfills faith. That is why hope is stronger than faith. Faith is the foundation of hope. Faith is connected to the hearing of God’s Word. It is the underground bridge leading to hope. True faith and hope in God will never put you to shame! They will never disappoint you! Faith and hope can never become bitterness. These are fruits of the Holy Spirit working in your heart. It is worth it to take ‘risk’ with God! God knows that you are trusting Him and are waiting on Him. “Hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us… Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame” (Romans 5:5; 10:11). Abraham trusted that the God who gave him the promise has the power to perform it. And God did it! Remember this: PROMISE – POWER – PERFORMANCE! (PPP)!!!

The Bible says that “The evildoer (the unbeliever) has no future hope” (PV 24:20). Do not make friends with unbelievers because they will mock your faith and they will damage it. Faith needs healing like a sick body needs healing. A damaged faith in a believer helps him to believe that he is saved. But he cannot exercise faith for the supernatural and the joy of his hope is gone. He still goes to church, but he is weak and sad. We are commanded to have faith in God and to rejoice in our hope. May the Balm of Gilead manifest and heal your spirit, heal your faith, and restore the joy of your hope! Then the miracle will happen! God is alive! Nothing is impossible for God! “Lord, like my father Abraham, I want to look up in the dark night, see the stars and believe Your great and precious promises! Help me Lord Jesus!” Worship the Lord!

GLORY IN THE SKY

Today, my beloved husband (Pastor Richmond Sisan Leigh), could have been 72 years. He is in heaven now. I tried to take a picture of things above. This is how the sky looks above Effurun/ Warri/ Nigeria. God’s grace is real and sufficient for me. God’s power in me is greater than my pain. I look up and all I see is Peace, coming from heaven to earth, and good will to men! Christ in me is my hope and assurance of glory! It is well with my soul… It is well…

TESTIMONY OF ORDAINED STRENGTH

A sister in the church sent me this testimony. It is to the glory of God and to the defeat of the devil! Read and be blessed!
“Good Morning Malia. We thank God for His Grace upon your life. Thank God for showing Himself mighty in yesterday’s service. From the start of the Service, our 3 year old daughter … participated actively praising & worshiping God, in fact for the first time, she did not sleep or disturb through out the service. During the worship, she tapped me and specifically said she wants to go to the Altar and worship God. I was pleasantly surprised and told her to go (naturally she is shy and will not walk all the way to the Altar by herself but she did). I followed a few seconds later and joined her at the Altar. Towards the end of the worship at the Altar, she tapped me again and said “I want to preach the word of God like Malia”(she pointed her finger at you). I thought I didn’t hear well and asked her to repeat herself. She said the same thing. I responded Amen and prayed for her. Praise the Lord!!! May God watch over this Spirit-Led words to perform it in Jesus Name, Amen!”
God’s Word: “Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have ordained strength, Because of Your enemies, That You may silence the enemy and the avenger” (Psalm 8:2)

THE SEAL OF CIRCUMCISION

THE POWER OF THE GOSPEL (18)

Pastor (Mrs) Silvia Lia Leigh continued preaching in the series titled: The Power of the Gospel. Her sermon today was titled ‘The seal of circumcision’. Her main text was taken from the Book of Romans. “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works: “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin” Does this blessedness then come upon the circumcised only, or upon the uncircumcised also? For we say that faith was accounted to Abraham for righteousness. How then was it accounted? While he was circumcised, or uncircumcised? Not while circumcised, but while uncircumcised. And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while still uncircumcised, that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they are uncircumcised, that righteousness might be imputed to them also, and the father of circumcision to those who not only are of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of the faith which our father Abraham had while still uncircumcised” (Rom 1:16, 17, 3:24; 4:1-12)

IS YOUR CHRISTIANITY REAL? ARE YOU TRULY BORN AGAIN? DOES YOUR GOSPEL WORK FOR YOU?

Have you mastered your life? The answer must be yes! The Gospel is not just a doctrine. It works practically. The Gospel is God’s solution for sin and the problems of life. It is a unique ‘solution’. Nothing and nobody helps you to be saved and to live successfully as the Gospel of Christ crucified and resurrected.

The world has two extremes to deal with problems:

1-Happy in the flesh (choose to be ignorant and enjoy life – it gives pleasure but not peace and not satisfaction)

2-Strong in the flesh – (these are called ‘stoics.’ They just ‘endure’. They are not happy and not sad. There is no victory in their lives!)

But Christianity is always victorious! This is the power and glory of the Gospel! Christianity works thru the Word of God (truth) and the Holy Spirit! It produces faith, strength, wisdom, peace, and joy! Christianity (the Gospel) is not vague. It can be defined and preached. You need the truth, sound doctrine, to be set free from sin, anxiety, fear, and depression. Does it work for you? If not, give your life to Christ! If a man is in trouble, do not cheer him up. Point him to Christ crucified and resurrected! Christianity has no help or hope for unbelievers! Christianity helps ‘indirectly’. Do not look at the circumstances. Look unto Jesus! Paul sang in the prison. True Christianity sings in trials! When times are hard, do you still praise God with song? Philosophers do not sing! Only the true believers do! Praise the Lord somebody!

What did Abraham discover ‘after the flesh’? Three things that cannot save or justify: works, circumcision (done 14 years later) and the law (given 430 years later). He is saved and justified by Grace thru faith in the God of Grace!

CIRCUMCISION

Medical male circumcision means the removal of the foreskin from the male private part. Medically it is done if the baby is born with a very narrow foreskin, to prevent urinary infection. Circumcision is one of the world’s most widely performed medical procedures. About one third of all men in the world are circumcised. Among the Jews and the Muslim, it is compulsory. Europe, South America, and Asia do not practice compulsory circumcision.  No major medical organization recommends circumcising all males, and no major medical organization recommends banning the procedure. It has been observed that among the circumcised male the rate of cancer (for both them and their wives) is lower; also, the rate of HIV infections is lower. These are medical facts!

God gave the promise to Abraham that his children will be like the stars 14 years before the circumcision.  Circumcision is a seal to authenticate those who have believed. Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness (Gen 15:1-6). The word ‘credited’ is the same as ‘imputed, accounted, or reckoned’. It means that another Person pays into your account. In particular, because of the Blood shed on the Cross, God can use that eternal ‘credit’ on behalf of any sinner to pay Christ’s righteousness on their spiritual account (2 Cor 5:21).  Soon, Abraham had Ishmael, by Hagar, the son of his flesh. He was 86 years at that time (Gen 16:16). When he was 99 years old God told Abraham to circumcise (14 years later – Gen 17:1). Circumcision was an outward sign that Abraham and his Jewish descendants belong to God. It was a visible seal. Abraham is the father (pattern, leading example) of those who were circumcised (the Jews who have faith) and those who are not circumcised (the Gentiles who also have faith). The Principle of faith is the most important thing. On its own, circumcision has no value. “Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing but keeping the commandments of God is what matters” (1Cor 7:19). Circumcision did not add anything to his justification. The Jews were boasting of their fleshly circumcision thinking that just because they did it, they are saved and justified. But Abraham was justified by faith in the God of grace alone! It is the same with us, the children of God!

THE CIRCUMCISION OF THE HEART

What is the circumcision of the heart? It is a spiritual experience. It is to cut off the spiritual skin (the power of sin) of the heart. Circumcision of the heart is a sign and a seal that you are a true believer in God and His Grace!  It is more than a doctrine. It is an experience. Jesus is the Surgeon. He uses the knife (sword) of the Holy Spirit! The seal proves that you are an original son (daughter). It is also a guarantee for the final salvation (of our bodies). This seal is also called the Baptism of Fire. Jesus is the Baptizer with fire and the Holy Spirit. You cannot seal (circumcise, seal) yourself. Doctor Jesus has to do it! It eliminates the stiff-neck attitude, the stubbornness, the pride, the resisting of flesh against the Holy Spirit. To resist it means to oppose the Spirit, or to fight Him. Once circumcised in the heart you stop fighting God and His Word; you surrender, you bow and worship Jesus!  God praises (publicly acknowledges) only a man who is circumcised in heart! God can only trust a circumcised in the heart man (or woman) with His power and resources (Deut 10:16 AMP, Deut 30:6. AMP; Jeremiah 4:4 AMP; Rom 2:2:29; AMP; Col 2:11-13 AMP; Ac 7:51-53; NKJ; Eph 1:13, 14; NKJ; Mt 3:11, 12; NKJ).

Finally, Pastor (Mrs) Silvia Lia Leigh said that people should pray to experience this circumcision of the heart. You need to surrender your body to God as a living sacrifice. Like King David who, after adultery and murder, prayed: “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right and steadfast spirit within me” (Psalm 51:10; AMP). In Hebrew, the word ‘create’ means to cut down or cut off. In other words, David prays that God (Elohim, the Creator God) should circumcise his heart by cutting off the desire of sin. He did not pray just for a cleansing but for a major spiritual heart transplant. David prays for a creative miracle only Surgeon Jesus can perform. He asked for a ‘steadfast spirit’. This is a spirit who stays faithful to God all his life. It is free from spiritual adultery and doubts. This seal of heart circumcision is a proof that you are a true Child of God! God does not ‘circumcise’ the unbelievers’ hearts. Revival comes when many people pray for new hearts. May it be so, Lord! “Hallelujah! Worthy is the Lamb!  Worthy is the Lamb! Amen!” Worship the Lord!

HEALTH TO ALL MY FLESH

“My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh” (Proverbs 4:20-22)

This scripture is one of my Word ‘jewels’. I keep it in a special side of my heart. I refuse to forget it! I ‘clean it’ often less it becomes hidden under the dust of empty religion and loses its shine. Since I ‘found’ this scripture I became happier and stronger in the faith. The first time I heard about it as a Rhema Word was from Pastor Derek Prince when he gave his testimony. He said that he was healed from an incurable skin disease just by trusting God for healing by believing this particular word. He said that he quoted it to himself three times a day just the way a sick man takes his medicines. He used the Word of God as ‘tablets of faith’. Doing that, little by little his health improved. In few months, he was completely healed. Hallelujah!

His testimony touched me. I decided to do that same. At that time, I was not ‘seriously ‘sick but I decided to use this scripture to build up my faith for the future and to preserve my present health. Healing is good but preventing sickness, walking in divine health, is even better. Since then, I quote this scripture from memory every day during my morning quiet time. I use my own words to pray according to the revelation ‘found’ in this word. Please observe that the Word of God must be ‘found’ so that it ‘works’ for you! I know that there is a danger of just quoting scriptures without having the faith to ‘back them up’. I do not want to fall into that religious trap. I try to be present in my mind and in my spirit, as I pray according to this word. I confess that by His grace, I am healed! My whole body and spirit are healed! Doctors can only treat one sickness at a time (I am a medical doctor, so I know). They give you medicine that may have negative side effects. But God’s Word is ‘health to all your flesh’ and has no side effects. Even the ‘crumbs’ that fall under the table of grace can be eaten safely and healing manifests! Is God not wonderful?

One of the conditions of healing is to ‘give attention’ to God’s Word. I decided to do just that! No more excuses! I need to be spiritually focused. I pray for revival in my heart concerning the love of the Bible and the true appreciation for the Word of God. I refuse to be ignorant of the devil’s strategy to make me ‘tired’ of the Word of God. I should never be bored or tired when I am reading, studying, preaching, or listening to the Word of God. Sleeping during preaching is criminal. My ear must be ‘inclined’ to God’s mouth as He whispers to me in His peculiar ‘still, small, voice’. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God! When God speaks to my ear, I must drop everything I am doing, sit down immediately and listen. I can cook later. I can phone friends later. But I cannot tell God ‘to hold on’ for me. His voice, His word is too special for me. It is life to me. It is living power for me. It is wisdom for me.

His Word is a treasure money cannot buy. I need to ‘waste’ time and spiritual effort in the quest of finding God. I am willing to do so. I do not want to work for natural food that gets spoiled. I want to work and invest in eternal food that only my Lord Jesus Christ can provide for me. I take Him at His Word. He loves it when I take Him seriously. I must pay the price and ‘find’ His word. It is true that His Word is in the pages of the Bible but even then, I must seek its meaning, its understanding, its revelation. Jesus promised that ‘if I seek, I shall find’. I believe His promise. I must cultivate an active spiritual attitude. I am seeker of God’s Word! Humbly and faithfully, I choose to develop the desire to love God’s Word. I am excited for the ‘find’ in advance. I refuse to give up on the promises of God. They worked for Jesus, they worked for other saints, therefore, they must work for me! With revelation comes power! Healing follows! Breakthrough is next! Progress is made! This is the work of the Holy Spirit! Praise the Lord!

I am hungry and thirsty for God’s Word. Each time I ‘find’ the word I was looking for I am like a woman who has found a pearl of great value. The revelation of God’s Word is more to me than silver and gold. Beneath the sand of common routine things of life, lie the spiritual rubies that adorn the crown of heavenly kings. With each revelation I ‘find’ I get richer in understanding and wisdom. The Holy Spirit leads on and I follow Him. That is why I cannot ‘miss road’. I love to follow the Holy Spirit… The way may be long and sometimes it passes thru some uncomfortable paths, but it will eventually lead to the place of light, where promises become miracles and God is glorified!

Therefore, right now, I declare that I am healed! From the top of my head to the soles of my feet, I am healed! Jehovah Rapha is my God! Jesus Christ is my Savior, my Lord, and my Healer! It is well with me!

Dear children, if He has done it for me, He will do it for you…

“I give You praise, Oh my Father in heaven…”

GOD JUSTIFIES THE UNGODLY

THE POWER OF THE GOSPEL (17)

Pastor (Mrs) Silvia Lia Leigh continued preaching about the Power of the Gospel. The title of this message is: “God justifies the ungodly’. But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works: “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin.” (Rom 1:16, 17, 3:24; 4:1-8)

There are three dispensations: 1-The dispensation of the Patriarchs (Grace, for Israel; individual dealings with God); 2-The dispensation of the Law (for Israel, no faith, no grace, no salvation); 3-The dispensation of the Gospel (by grace, thru faith, salvation, to all who believe: Jew or Gentiles). God has only one way to save men: by Grace and thru faith in the God of Grace. It was the same in the Old Testament and the New Testament. It shows that the Bible is one! Grace is one! There is only one covenant of Grace but different administrations. The Gospel is not a new thing. It was preached indirectly in the Old Testament. The saints in the OT were saved exactly like us. They looked ahead and saw Christ crucified and resurrected. They believed in the Gospel and they were saved. Just the way we look back at the Cross and are saved.

Pastor (Mrs) Silvia Lia Leigh said that Abraham is the father of Israel and the father of faith. King David is one of the greatest man in the history of Israel. He was a worshipper and a warrior. Both these men great have found grace in the presence of God. They found that it was only the Grace of God that made them great and saved them. It was not their works! Both discovered the doctrine of justification by faith. Just like us, they were saved by grace thru faith. Not because they did great things or were too faithful. It is because God declared them justified in His presence. This justification is totally attributed to the death of Christ on the Cross. They discovered that God ‘justifies the ungodly’ and not the godly! Salvation is a miracle and not a reward! God has only one way of salvation for men. God is the same in the Old Testament and the New Testament, for Jew and Gentiles, male or female, slave or free! This way of salvation eliminates pride and boasting. It introduces worship as a proper response to grace and salvation. Grace was revealed to the Jews first. We the Gentiles have been included later, but by the same Royal Grace. Israel is like an olive tree. The original branches were Israel. Some had faith and some did not. The once who did not have faith God cut them off. We the Gentiles who had faith are like wild olive tree branches that were grafted in the same trunk (Romans 11). Salvation should humble you! No pride! No bosting! This is the testimony of the remnant of grace, chosen by God, from among both Jew and Gentiles! This is no accident! God has planned all this before the foundation of the world!

What did Abraham find ‘according to the flesh’? Flesh is the totality of man outside the influence of the Holy Spirit. It is also called the carnal nature. Sin is found in the flesh. Flesh is external, visible, and worldly. It is guided by the senses (by sight). The Spiritual is internal, invisible, and fruitful, but only thru faith. The unbelievers are flesh. The born again are a mixture of flesh and Spirit. Flesh also means that men trust for their salvation outside God and His grace. It can be their intelligence, money, nationality, tribe, or religion. In this case is flesh is also called ‘works.’ Flesh and works, fail to save. There is no Grace or faith in them. Flesh will disappoint you at last. Flesh produces pride and boasting. Jesus said: “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words (rhema) that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63). Human power can do nothing, cannot help. The Spirit (breath of God) gives life to the dead. It is resurrection power and Life! Abraham discovered that his life, salvation, blessings, and all benefits have come to him thru the Word of God. Faith comes thru the hearing of God’s Word (Romans 10:17). Even when he failed (the story of Hagar/Ishmael), God dealt with him by His Grace. God kept His word. Men lies but God never lies! Men change, but God never change! Grace gives strength to the weak! Grace ends in glory! Grace never loses a battle! God is faithful always! Salvation is grace in action! God’s promises can never fail! From far away God showed Abraham Christ crucified and resurrected. God told him that Christ will come from his loins. Abraham believed this Word as coming from the God of Grace. This faith was accounted to Abraham as righteousness (Gen 15:1-6, 22:15-18).  Abraham did not have a general faith. He believed the spoken Word and the Promises of the God of all Grace. Though dimly, he believed the Gospel of Christ crucified and resurrected. Jesus said: “Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad” (John 8:56). Worship the Lord!

TESTIMONY OF HEALING AND PROVISION

This morning I received this letter. It is from one of our daughters in the church. This testimony is given to the glory of God, for the defeat of the devil and for the encouragement of many! Read, pray and be blessed!

“Happy new year to you Malia!  We thank God and give God the glory for a wonderful start this 2021, to God alone be the glory. Malia I wanted to share my testimony of God’s graciousness and mercy over my life and family. To God alone be the glory. I want to thank God Almighty for yesterday’s service, I truly thank Him for your life Malia, you are a blessing to me, family and the church that is beyond human understanding.  Thank You Jesus!  I recently had severe dental aches and been in and out of the dentist for quite some time.  Yesterday, before we closed you asked for those who had a form of illness to stand. Though I couldn’t cause I was carrying a sleeping child I lifted my hands up in faith, prayed that God will not allow me carry over any pain\ache into 2021. When we got home, I made something to eat because I hadn’t really eaten much through the day due to the pain.  I ate without remembering the pain. In fact, there was no pain at all.  To God alone be the glory, I will forever praise and worship Jesus, the only KING FOREVER.  He is teaching me to trust Him more and more each day with every detail of my life\family.  I love you Jesus!

Also Malia I give God the glory for his immense kindness, sustenance, and provision over my family and I! To the glory of God, late last year he provided in ways that are past finding for my husband and I to buy  a land!  Praiseeeeeee the Lord!  My husband also reminded me that Tali prayed that we will all buy land and build our own homes.  To God alone be all the glory! Lastly, I want to thank God for how He has covered\healed my entire family last year. My children are drawing nearer to God.  Whenever my children are doing house chores, especially the younger one, she would pray that the Holy spirit will cover us, and that God will bless uncle Tali and aunty Malia.

Take all glory Lord Jesus!  The worship continues…

Your daughter…”

THE TOUCH OF FAITH

During the Jesus Mega Party 2020, Pastor (Mrs) Silvia Lia Leigh preached a sermon called ‘The Touch of Faith’. She said that our Lord told the people that faith in Him is able to move mountains, to remove hindrances and make space for miracles (Mark 11:12-24). This is faith in Jesus Christ. It is faith 100% and doubt 0%. It is not 99% faith plus 1% doubt. Doubt is spiritual poison and must go away. This faith is not in men, not in money, not in religion, but in the Person of Jesus Christ. Even if it is small as a mustard seed, it does not matter, but it must be a ‘complete seed’. In other words, faith must be free from the damage and pollution of the sin of doubt. Just before telling them about this mountain moving faith, He drove away those were doing business in the house of God. The church is not a business center, it is not a social gathering, and it is not a political party. It is the Body of Christ on earth. Jesus died to make us His Body. Blood was shed for oil to flow down from heaven to earth. Our Lord confronted those who live in sin and still come to church. He exposed the religious hypocrites who do not fear God. They come to church and feel comfortable in their sins. They live in sin so that ‘grace may abound’. They have made the church to be a ‘den of thieves’ (Jeremiah 7:8-11). A den is a place, a cave, where wicked people hide from police. But the Holy Spirit exposes and brings out these people. You cannot hide forever from God! Come to Jesus! Repent and believe the Gospel! Many people attend churches but are not truly born again. They are only religious. Come out from the den! Come out to the light of God! Come and be saved! If your Christianity does not have Jesus at its center, if all your prayers are only to be rich in this world, that is not true Christianity. Examine your heart and see if you are a child of God or not. Salvation is a miracle. We preach the true Gospel: Jesus died and rose again for me, for you! Believe the Gospel! Produce fruit of repentance! Be filled with the Holy Spirit!

Pastor (Mrs) Silvia Lia Leigh said that there was a woman with an issue of Blood (Mark 5:25-34). This is a woman who was sick for 12 years (4, 383 days or 105,192 hours). Her sickness made her: ceremonial unclean (Leviticus 15); financially broke; she was getting worse (weaker and in more pain); she was a social outcast (like a leper). This uncleanness was ‘spiritually’ infectious. Anybody who touched her will become unclean too.It was her faith in Jesus that healed her. She was as good as dead. She heard about Jesus. She believed that He is the resurrection and the life; that He can give her health in place of this incurable sickness and life in place of death. She believed the Gospel. Jesus said: “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live” (John 11:25). She heard about Jesus, about His healing power. She encouraged herself saying: “If only I may touch…”. She was afraid that Jesus will not be able to touch her so that He will not be made unclean. That is why she decided to go and touch Him herself. She touched the lowest part of His garment. She took the risk to be killed by men, for coming into the crowd and touching so many people (who will all become unclean because of her). She came from behind Jesus. The word ‘touch’ means that two surfaces make contact, with no space in-between. The touch of faith always produces effects. May you know how to touch Jesus! May you experience this healing touch!

She came close and heard Jesus talking to Jairus. “when he (Jairus) saw Him, he fell at His feet and begged Him earnestly, saying, “My little daughter lies at the point of death. Come and lay Your hands on her, that she may be healed, and she will live.” So Jesus went with him, and a great multitude followed Him and thronged Him” (Mark 5:22-24). The woman believed what Jairus said. He confirmed her faith. She too needed miracle. With faith 100% she touched Jesus and ‘immediately’, she became whole. She felt the healing in her body. Power left Jesus and entered her. Jesus turned and asked: ‘Who touched Me?’ Shaking and afraid, bowing at His feet, she shared her story. All people heard her testimony. Everybody now knew that she was healed and cleansed. None should be afraid to touch her from now on. Jesus reinstated her into the community. Our Lord said to her: “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be healed of your affliction”. Peace always follows the touch of faith. The crowd touched Jesus but not with faith. They were there for entertainment to see miracles and not for Jesus. But this woman did not waste her opportunity. She came, believed, touched Jesus and she was healed! She then worshipped the Lord! May your faith rise! May your faith touch Jesus! May you be made whole! Be healed! Peace be unto you! Happy New Year! Worship the Lord!
