GOD IS MY HELPER

PRAISE REPORT

I just received this note from a brother who attends our church. His wife just ha a baby. She was at home when the floor tiles started breaking, like there is an earthquake. But there is no earthquake in Warri this week, for I live here too. This is an occult attack. When the powers of darkness cause physical visible harm, they are desperate to prevail. But the devil has failed once more, for this family started praying and praising God. No fear, only faith! Give glory to God for another victory in the family of God! Bellow is his testimony:

“DEAR MALIA,
OUR GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME, ON TUESDAY I WENT OUT TO SEE MY MECHANIC I WAS THERE ALTHROUGH THE DAY FROM 10:30AM TO 5:25PM, I WAS CLOSE TO MY HOUSE WHEN MY PHONE RANG I PICK IT UP I HEAR HER SCREAMING, SAYING: ‘THE ROOM IS TEARING APART IT LOOKS LIKE EARTHQUAKE…’ I HURRIED UP TO SEE FOR MYSELF TO MY SURPRISE I SAW HALF OF THE ROOM FLOOR TILES SWELLS UP AND ALSO A LONGITUDINAL CRACKS ON THE TILES. I ASK HER HOW COME SHE TOLD ME THAT SHE AND HER MUM WERE AT THE SITTING ROOM WHEN THEY HEARD A VERY SHARP SOUND FROM THE ROOM CONTINUOUSLY. THEN THEY RAN OUT.
IMMEDIATELY I WAS ANGRY IN THE SPIRIT. I STARTED PRAYING IN TONGUES AND I ALSO ANOINT THE HOUSE. MA, I AM A CIVIL ENGINEER WITH 15 YEARS EXPERIENCE I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH THING, NO CRACKS ON THE WALL, COLUMNS OR BEAMS AND ALSO NO DEPRESSION ON THE CONCRETE FLOOR.
I JUST WANT TO GIVE GOD THE GLORY AND HONOR FOR HIS DIVINE PROTECTION IN THE LIFE OF MY FAMILY. ISAIAH 41: 10-13 IS MY SCRIPTURAL VERSE, OUR GOD HAS SPOKEN THAT HE WILL HELP ME TO FIGHT ALL MY BATTLES, I HAVE NO FEAR, THEY IMAGINE A VAIN THING AGAINST ME AND MY FAMILY AND THE LORD IS LAUGHING AT THEM, HE THAT WATCHES OVER ME AND MY FAMILY NEVER SLEEPS OR SLUMBER. I LUV U JESUS , THE PRAISE HAS NOT STARTED, THIS IS JUST A PREAMBLE. I WILL PRAISE HIM FOREVER. JESUS IS LORD!
YOUR CHILDREN IN CHRIST…”

“Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
“Behold, all those who were incensed against you
Shall be ashamed and disgraced;
They shall be as nothing,
And those who strive with you shall perish.
You shall seek them and not find them—
Those who contended with you.
Those who war against you
Shall be as nothing,
As a nonexistent thing.
For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand,
Saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’ (Is 41:10-13)

GIVE THANKS
A brother who attends our church for some years sent me this note. He is a believer, in his thirties, educated and a hardworking man. But he is not spiritually stable. He easily gives up on any project. It has been like that over the years, in his school, relationships and jobs. His life could have been much better. He is not married. He still lives in a very small poor ‘ghetto’ room. His explanation for this lack of prosperity is that he is ‘a village boy’ and that Warri city was a great temptation for him. That is why he is so distracted and restless. I told him that in Christ all things are new and he should start living out his faith.
We prayed deliverance and counseled him but there was no change over the years. As pastors, we needed perseverance and supernatural love. God provided that. Finally, the sun shines on this brother and overcomes his darkness. This is his story: Last year he got a good job as a store keeper in a big company. He was so happy. But after few months he fell down from a ladder at his working place and he broke his leg. He was in cast for months. This January he went back to work. His testimony is that against all odds, he kept his job for one whole year. To many, this may not be a great story. But to him it is. We too are encouraged. He gives all the glory to God who helps all His children, even the weak and the slow.

“Praise GOD, praise GOD… Malia, today marks it a complete working full year for me with…. This is the first time in my life that I can say that I have worked for a complete one year. Despite the shakings and massive dropping of workers, despite the injury and all temptations…yet this same JESUS, my Savior and my Lord has kept me still. “Lord, I thank YOU!” Let all the glory be unto HIM alone!!! Amen”

“in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” (1Thess 5:18)

HEALED THAT SAME HOUR

“And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.” The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed… When Jesus heard it, He marveled…Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour” (Mt 8:7-13)

When Jesus finds true faith in men, He recommends them and heals them. The Centurion was a Gentile but he had true faith in Christ. Observe his great faith: the more humility the more faith. He had an assurance of faith not only that Christ could cure his servant, but, that He could cure him even at a distance. There was a group of friends who brought a sick man to Jesus. It was thru hard labor. Jesus commended their ‘working’ faith.  But this centurion had an even greater faith. He believed that the power of Christ knows no limits, and therefore nearness and distance are alike to him. Distance of place cannot obstruct either the knowing or the working of Him who fills all places. ‘Am I a God at hand, says the Lord, and not a God afar off?’ (Jer. 23:23)

Jesus admired the Centurion not for his money or status, but for his faith, his spirit, his attitude. That is what we should do! Look for genuine faith in men! Thru the Word of God and prayer, encourage faith in men! Forget their status or wealth. That is true ministry done for Christ’s sake!

In conclusion: Faith has many forms. If faith is genuine, Christ will commend it and will surely answer its request!

In Christ I declare:

I am healed!

In Jesus name,

Amen!

PRAISE REPORT

A sister from our church was attacked by men trying to enter her car. Possibly, they were kidnappers or armed robbers. God took control of the situation and she and her baby escaped unharmed. Not to long ago we shared a message called ‘Surrounded’. We prayed trusting God for His surrounding presence of love and protection. This is her testimony, that she was not afraid in a difficult circumstance and that God took control. This testimony is given to the glory of God and for the encouragement of the brethren.

“Dear Malia, Mummy good afternoon ma.truly we are surrounded by God and His angels to protect us. This is what happened: last week Thursday I went to my mother in laws house with my Baby,.At about 7:30 pm I decided to go coz it was getting late. I entered my car. As I was reversing, behold I saw someone trying to open my car and another man in front of the car. Fortunately for me I locked the car immediately I entered so they could not enter. The funniest thing was that when I saw them, I wasn’t afraid @ all,instead special boldness came upon me. I drove away with a very high speed. I was shocked, I almost hit the one in front of me. The truth is, when I saw them,I wasn’t the one who drove. The Sweet Holy Spirit took over and I give Him all the glory alone.
God has really used U greatly in our lives ma. Plz always include us in your prayers. Thank u Ma,
I am your daughter…”

“As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people both now and forevermore” (Ps 152:2)

PROPHETIC WORD

“God’s wrath is revealed from heaven against all the sin and evil of the people whose evil ways prevent the truth from being known” (Rom 1:18)

This is a prophetic word we received this evening against the wicked evil spirit called ISIS and Boko Haram. God Almighty shall send ‘leanness’ among their leaders. Their ‘fat ones’, their leaders shall begin to lose weight (spiritual and physical). They shall become to weak to fight, walk or even talk. The Consuming Fire of Jehovah will start burning them, creating terror and madness among them. They shall fight one another and forget their victims. Their so called ‘fame’, their so called ‘glory’ that makes men be attracted to their demons, shall be completely destroyed. Not only destroyed but disgraced and destroyed!
Their ‘disciples and brides’ shall run away form them. They shall betray one another. Their souls and bodies shall become weaker and weaker until fainting. Their sword shall be turned against themselves. They shall fear one another and fight one another. They shall be mad and depressed. No doctor or medication can help them. Very few of them (even as ‘a child can count them’), just like the thief crucified with Jesus, shall repent and give their life to Christ before their death. These shall be saved but as a man passing thru fire. All the unrepentant shall perish! No weapon, strategy, army or country shall save them! For God’s wrath against evil is now manifested from heaven! In Jesus name, Amen!

“Therefore the Lord, the Lord of hosts,
Will send leanness among his fat ones;
And under his glory
He will kindle a burning
Like the burning of a fire.
So the Light of Israel will be for a fire,
And his Holy One for a flame;
It will burn and devour
His thorns and his briers in one day.
And it will consume the glory of his forest and of his fruitful field,
Both soul and body;
And they will be as when a sick man wastes away.
Then the rest of the trees of his forest
Will be so few in number
That a child may count them” (Is 10:16-19)

THE HEALING OF THE CENTURION’S SERVANT

The prayer meeting was very good. We praised God and shared two testimonies of God’s provision and grace. Nobody in the congregation felt sleepy. That is always a good sign. We prayed for the Holy Spirit to come and move in our midst. He came down and moved! We prayed for one another, two by two. We rejoiced in the presence of God! Then the message came:

“Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed” (Mt 8:8)

The Centurion was a Roman soldier, probably the commander-in-chief at Capernaum. Most soldiers lack reverence for God. They are rough. Yet this man was religious and humble. This combination is very rare to find. But God has His remnant among all sorts of people. As a Roman soldier he represented the oppressor of the Jews. But Christ favored him. This is a great lesson: love your enemies. Do good to them! Do not be over-interested in politics until you grieve the Holy Spirit!

The leper Jesus healed was a Jew. The centurion was a Gentile. Jesus had compassion on both Jew and Gentile. His marvelous light started to shine! By healing his servant the word of old Simeon begins to be fulfilled:

“A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles,

And the glory of Your people Israel.” (Lk 2:32)

Jesus healed the Jew with a touch but the Gentile with a Word, at a distance. The faith of the Centurion is greater than that of the Jew. Christ is more magnified in the Gentiles. God is not a respecter of men. Observe the attitude of the Centurion. He was very humble. He was the opposite of Naaman the Syrian, also a Centurion who was sick and proud. He sees something deeper in Christ. He believes that Christ is sovereign, even above Caesar, for he calls Him Lord. The Centurion is loving and caring. Others came to Christ to heal their children. This is the only example when somebody came on behalf of his servant. This is a wonderful example to us all. It is the duty of the master to care for his servants. This centurion did not abandon his sick servant like the wicked Amalekite master did (1Sa 30:13). He did not send him to his friends or family. He tried to find a cure for him. The servant could not have done more for the master, than the master did here for the servant. To be successful, intercession needs the background of love that never fails. The true compassion of Christ must enter your very heart, your bones, before you can be called a true Man (Woman) of God!

What do you need when praying for a miracle? Your needs and problems, your difficult circumstances, these are not important. You may need healing, financial or other breakthrough, spiritual or material. Just remember! For God, all things are possible. Also, for the man who has faith in God, all things are possible. As your faith increases, you become a stable believer, mature and fruitful, just like Jesus. Signs and wonders shall follow you! It is written!

Personally, I want to be like Jesus. Don’t you? Jesus never prayed any prayer that was not answered. This is a question: What are the conditions for a miracle? True humility, the knowledge of personal un-worthiness, combined with faith in the power of the Word of Jesus, in the power of His grace!!! This combination is spiritual dynamite! In all situations, what do I do? I pray! After that, I rest, trusting God for His provision for me. He has never disappointed me. Even when I thought I should be disappointed by His choice for me, I discovered that God gave me something better than I planned for myself. God has ‘upgraded’ me many times. So why worry?

THE WORD OF OUR TESTIMONIES

“Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night. “And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death” (Rev 12:10, 11)

We just ended our women’s fellowship. We had an awesome time. We praised God with singing and dancing. We shared testimonies proving His grace towards us. The following are two out seven. All glory to God!

Sister E said that three years ago, just before her wedding, she discovered two big lumps in her right breast. She prayed for a miraculous healing. As a woman she is always shy. She was always afraid of things in life. She only told her fiancée who is now her husband. They had so many problems before the wedding that she had no time to worry about it. Then her mother phoned that she had a dream that she has breast cancer. She did not tell her mother what she has just discovered for fear that speaking it loud means she agrees with the sickness. They only prayed against it. About two years later, as she was breastfeeding her first son, she discovered that the lumps became smaller and later they completely disappear. She is now completely healed. Today she testifies in public for the first time. She gave all the glory to God.

Sister C is in her sixties. She is illiterate but born again. She had just lost her three years old grand-daughter. It was an accident. Her eldest daughter (the baby’s mother) was standing with her daughter along the road waiting for the school bus to come. A truck lost control and came towards them. The daughter was killed on the spot but the mother escaped with minor injuries. Kneeling down, sister C testified to the grace of God. She was so emotional that she could not even stand. She was thanking God for preserving her daughter. She knows that it could have been worst. With tears on her face, she was praising God in her language. It was obvious that the Holy Spirit was comforting her. We could feel the strength of the Spirit pouring in her wounds. Out of the grace she received she then prayed for all the women, that none will experience untimely death, that none will bury her child. She gave God all the glory for her life, for her children, for Father’s House!

Then the Holy Spirit moved in our midst. By faith, I told the single sisters to go to the entrance of the sanctuary, to pick flowers from the altar and to march in like brides. To imagine that one day they shall be brides. This is a prophetic act of faith that trusting God that soon, they will marry. We prayed for them. We believe! We also prayed for the married women who desire the fruit of the womb. The anointing was so great that I could not preach my prepared message. The Holy Spirit was totally in control. I know for sure that many more testimonies shall follow!

Dear Sister in Christ! Tap from this anointing! The Holy Spirit will minister to you as you read these words. This was an ‘old fashioned’ revival service. In our church we keep things real. But we also trust God for miracles. We forbid entertainment! May your prayer become praise! May your testimony become fruitful! May the glory of God shine on you! In Jesus name, Amen!

ETERNAL WORDS

Our Lord Jesus Christ says:
“So you also, when you have done everything you were told to do, should say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty'” (Lk 17:10)
Stay humble! Worship God!

BLESS THE LORD (1)

“Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits” (Ps 103:1, 2)

Are you not surprised how intimately God knows you? God is so big and you are so small, yet He knows you perfectly. Is that not enough to praise Him? Are you not amazed how God responds to you, when you are truly in need, when you pray, even if a whisper? The correct response to such tender mercies and amazing grace is to praise the Lord, to acknowledge His work in your life, to publicly testify to His goodness and power. Read Psalm 103. Nine times the word ‘all’ appears there. That means everything, 100% of all things!

Specifically, I am commanded not to forget, not to ignore or be passive about ‘all His benefits’. I have to choose to remember God’s gifts, blessing and benefits to me and my family. It is a choice! Not remember just some, but all of them! In Hebrew, the word ‘benefit’ means to reward you for your labor and service. Have you thought of it? That God knows all about your labor of love towards Him and His people? That He rewards you for all that labor? This is a great revelation: You can never lose serving God.

In the dictionary, the word ‘to benefit’ means to display kindness towards another, to give financial help in times of need, during sickness, old age or unemployment. It also means receiving extra favor from your employer, something more than your basic salary. For example, your boss gives you, health insurance, or he pays for vacation time for you and your family. God is behind all these benefits. God saves you not to suffer, but to ‘satisfy you with good things’ (v5). So, do not ignore the kindness of God towards you and your family. Meditate upon God’s Word. Think about your life…who you used to be and what God has done in you up till now. Stir up your soul today to praise Him the more! He blessed you with all benefits so you must bless Him with all your heart! For He is worthy of all your praise!

“Dear Heavenly Father, I acknowledge Your presence and Your work in my life! I am who I am today only by Your grace! I bless You today for all Your benefits towards me and my family! I bless You for my salvation, for the salvation of my husband, for our happy marriage, for the salvation of our children and grandchildren, for taking care of them as they live far away, for taking care of my old mother and my sister in Romania, for giving me a great spiritual family in Fathers House, Warri, Nigeria, for the money You give me, for the extraordinary favor with men, with strangers, for protecting me from armed robbers and kidnappers, for helping me to preach Your Word, for my health, for my peace of mind, for joy, for divine wisdom, for providing wonderful vacations to me and my family, for so many testimonies that I cannot count….for …for… for… I praise You today! I bless Your Holy Name, Jehovah God Almighty! There is no one like You! I am forever grateful, my Everlasting Father! In Jesus name Amen!”

PRAISE REPORT

A couple in our church have been waiting for six years to have a baby. Doctors have examined them and declared that medically, there is no way they can have a baby. The husband was a Muslim who got converted to be a Christian. Some years ago, armed robbers shot at him but he escaped. Both of them are now born again and Spirit filled. The wife is a children’ teacher in our church.They worship God with great passion and faithfulness. I saw their tears in prayers and intercession. I saw their joy in serving God. They had faith that one day they will be parents! They always talk about ‘their children’ even before a

Against all odds, nine months ago, the wife got pregnant. It has been a challenging pregnancy. She could not stand or come to church for months. But pain is soon forgotten when a baby is born. Yes, they are now the happy blessed parents of a handsome baby boy. May this testimony remind you that the Living God we serve is a God of miracles! Nothing is too difficult for God! To God be all the glory!
(This is the picture of the baby)Baby Ibraimoh

“A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world” (Jn 16:21)

FEAR FREE

“For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2Tim 1:7)
This is one particular scripture that I often quote to myself and others. Fear is a very common spiritual problem. Most of the time, it is hidden. The devil deceives his victims trying to control them. Fear is a painful paralyzing emotion when you perceive a danger ahead. This danger may be real or imagined. These are some of the most common fears: fear to be poor, fear of failure, fear of success, fear to remain single, fear of barrenness, fear of flying, fear of accidents, of armed robbers and kidnappers, fear of men, fear of sickness, and lastly, the greatest of all is the fear of death. Fear makes you weak, spiritually, mentally and physically.

Fear discourages you to move ahead, to start new projects or to meet strangers. Fear keeps you in your comfort zone and kills any dream you may have for the future. Fear is a great hindrance to a successful life and ministry. Some fears are ‘normal’ for all human beings. For example, going to an exam or an interview, there is some anxiety. But more than that, fear is a demon, an evil spirit attacking you. First of all, the devil attacks with ‘arrows’ of fear, to weaken you. Once he has succeeded to inject the poison of fear into you, he can then bring sickness or other troubles you will not be able to resist.

Fear makes you selfish too. A coward cannot truly love another. All he thinks about, all he prays about is for himself, his safety. Fear destroys many relationships. A marriage that allows fear to grow will end in divorce eventually. Fear also ends in depression. You will not be able to stay focused, calm or to think rationally. You shall make many mistakes, always protecting yourself from real or imaginary enemies.

Instead, God gives us the Holy Spirit that manifests Himself as power, love and sound mind. A born again believer is stable and strong. He only fears God. That makes him wise. He does not fear what others fear. He is bold like a lion. Being fear free, faith a a good space to increase in the heart. He speaks the truth in love. He trusts God for the strength to do ‘all things thru Christ who strengthens him’ (Phil ). He moves from faith to faith and from glory to glory. Fear it is to be identified and totally rejected. Call fear ‘an idiot’ and live fear free! Have peace and joy! At the name of Jesus every knee will bow! Chose God’s will! Be filled with the Holy Spirit and fear will have no chance! I know, for, by the grace of God, I am fear free!

MY TESTIMONY

“When Your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear Your name, LORD God Almighty” (Jer 15:16)

This month I shall be 29 years old in Christ. I can testify that all these years I never lost my appetite for the Word of God. I never lost my longing, interest and excitement to open the Bible, to read it. To me, the Bible is not an ordinary Book. It is the Word of God, a personal letter from my Savior and my Lord. The Bible is both mysterious and very practical to me. When I am sick, I find my healing there. When troubled I find peace within its pages. When happy, I find God’s delight and His purpose for my life.  When I open the Bible, it does not smell ink, paper, leather or plastic. It smells fresh bread from the heavenly oven. The very sight of the Bible makes me hungry to read the Word of God. My Bible is my best treasure on earth. Is it yours too? Then, child of God, you are blessed!

LISTEN WELL

“So pay attention to how you listen! Those who understand [these mysteries] will be given [more knowledge]. However, some people don’t understand [these mysteries]. Even what they think they understand will be taken away from them.” (Luke 8:18)

The preacher has a responsibility before God to prepare his sermon. The congregation also has a responsibility before God. The believers are to be good listeners, holy and prepared. Before coming to church, you need to pray and get ‘in the Spirit’. The way you spend your Saturdays, especially the evenings, will determine the mood you shall be on Sundays. Do not sleep late on Saturday, so that you will not be too tired in the church. We are commanded to keep the Sabbath holy (Ex 20:8). Sunday must be special more than any other day in the week. On Sunday you come to church to listen to the Word of God, pray and praise God. It is also a time of fellowship with the Body of Christ. This is totally different than your company meetings. Here, God is in charge. The way you spend your Sunday will determine your week. So it is very important to make the best out of it. You need to cultivate a holy appetite for the Word of God.

Be careful how you listen to the sermon. It is different than when you listen to some speaker in a business seminar. Pray for your ears! During the church service you should not be passive, day dreaming, lazy or sleepy. There is a danger to lose the little religious understanding you have. There is a danger to change from being religious to becoming an unbeliever.

You should be spiritually active, prayerful, attentive, excited and hungry for fresh revelation. Then God will bless and encourage you, adding to your little revelation. He will increase your store of wisdom and understanding. Study your life! If you are not maturing spiritually, it means that you attend the wrong church or you are not a good listener. In any case pray and repent if necessary.

THE LORD IS WILLING

children dancing in FH

“When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him.  And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. And Jesus said to him, “See that you tell no one; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.” (Mt 8:1-4)

The prayer meeting was wonderful. Jehovah Jireh is still manifesting in our midst. Sister R shared her testimony. She is a humble and faithful woman of God. She is a wife, mother and grandmother. She never misses any of the services in our church. She is a teacher by profession. She also has a wonderful ‘hobby’: she writes books for children. Since I know her, all these years, she applied to the government to approve her books. But none listen to her. We prayed many times for a breakthrough. Last year her husband had a stroke. Now she knows that only God can help. On Monday she received a phone call that the Commissioner for education in Delta state comes to inspect her store of books. This was a miracle. The Government officials were so impressed with her labor, that they gave her the contract to supply books to all the primary schools in the state. She was told to come to Asaba and collect a cheque for millions of Naira. The Government promised to build a new printing press for her.  This is the lesson: It pays to trust, wait and serve God. When all (human) hope is lost, God intervenes! Praise the Lord!

We then praised God with singing and dancing. Lastly, the message came: The healing of the leper! The prophetic word this season was ‘to go up the mountain and encounter Jehovah Jireh. The Holy Spirit pointed to us the danger many believers and churches fell into: praying and seeking money they abandon the God who provides the money.  That is why tonight, we left the talk about money aside and we looked at some miracles of Jesus, trying to build our faith. We read how Jesus healed the leper.

Leprosy was an incurable disease, both spiritual and physical. It was considered to be the worst of all. It was a mark of God’s anger with that person. People like Miriam, Gehazi and king Uzziah were smitten with leprosy because of their sins. Only God could heal them. This is Christ’s first miracle of healing recorded in the Bible. Christ, to show that He came to turn away the wrath of God, by taking away sin, began with the cure of a leper. The leper came and knelt down at the feet of Jesus, worshipping Him. He called Jesus Lord. That means God Almighty. He said “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Jesus touched him and made him clean. The healing happened immediately. Jesus sent him to the priest. God wants you to share your testimony!

Why will this man worship Jesus in his particular hopeless circumstances? It is because he knows that Jesus is his only hope! For as long as you have many helpers and gods you will not be able to worship Jesus. Miracles will pass you by. Faith will make you bold. No leper was supposed to come into the city. They were isolated outside from community. This leper took a risk by leaving his hiding place. Men could have stoned him to death. But at the feet of Jesus he found safety, peace and healing.  May your faith increase! Do not be proud or distracted! Come to Jesus! Bowing in humble adoration at His feet you shall find grace to help in time of need. Jesus is able and willing to bless you tonight.

PRAISE REPORT

A sister came with a heavy heart. She has some marital challenges. My counsel was not an easy one. Truth is a sword. But she received the words with humility and faith. We prayed that she will have a wonderful testimony. This is her letter after reading “The wind died down”.

“Dear Malia,
I just read your post on Facebook “The wind died down”. All I can say is waoh.
May God (Jehovah) be continually enthroned in our lives! He has stayed my heart and I am still for He is God over the floods… I returned home yesterday enveloped by God’s presence, I had a smile in my heart. I wasn’t alone, The Lord of Host has gone ahead in the battle, won it and given me the victory… yet He stands by me assuring me, filling my heart with love for my husband…
At night, in the silence, my heart felt troubled but The Lord was near. “Be still” I heard… An owl shrilled, quite differently from the sounds I thought I knew, I was startled, but Encouragement filled me like light bursting through. It was fleeing. Light has come and darkness runs to hide. My Father is a Man of war… “Be still”..
As I write this words, I feel like I need to lie down and sleep but I will not.. I don’t feel like laughing but I sense laughter in my spirit so I’ll laugh… I’ll lift up my voice and sing for the battle is the Lord’s.
In Christ i declare, Mercy shall prevail over judgment continually in my home and marriage.. As God’s will unfolds (goodness and mercy) His grace shall be sufficient for us to bring glory and honor to His name. In Jesus name!

Thank you Malia…God’s strength in your life shall not wane… You shall go from glory to glory with God… Humble yet with boldness, you shall continue to declare God’s truth.. God’s delight shall be in you even as you are found lost in Him. Tali is blessed, your home and family is blessed. Continually, you shall be satisfied early with the dew of heaven. In Jesus name. Amen
Your daughter…”

THE WIND DIED DOWN

“Jesus stood up and commanded the wind, “Be quiet!” and he said to the waves, “Be still!” The wind died down, and there was a great calm. Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Why are you frightened? Do you still have no faith?”
But they were terribly afraid and began to say to one another, “Who is this Man? Even the wind and the waves obey him!” (Mk 4:39-40)

The preaching ended. The crowds were left behind. Then the Lord commanded His disciples that they should go to ‘the other side’. Jesus went to sleep in the ‘stern of the boat’. That is the back of the boat. Then a great storm arose. The winds shook the boat. The big waves filled the boat with water, threatening to sink it. It is night, it is cold, and the storm is ready to kill them all. Then they remember that Jesus was in the boat with them, sleeping on a pillow. Afraid, they rebuked Him for not caring if they live or perish. Jesus stood up and rebuked the wind saying: ‘Peace be still’. The word ‘stood up’ is the same with the power of resurrection! And it was a great calm. He also rebuked them for lack of faith and allowing the fears to torment them. The disciples became afraid at the way the storm died down. They asked themselves? Who can this be? Who is Jesus?

These are some lessons gathered from their storm. We do well to apply them in our trials. First of all we see that it was our Lord’s idea to ‘go to the other side’. That means promotion, breakthrough. We see that storms come, not because we have sinned but because God wants us to learn lessons only storm can teach. What are the mistakes the disciples made? What was the cause for their fears, for their lack of faith? They forgot the miracles the Lord has done in the past. They forgot the promises of God! Jesus promised them: “I will never leave you nor forsake you”. And most important of all, they forgot the presence of God. They forgot that Jesus was with them in the boat. They forgot the power of the Word of God. They forgot the authority of the Lord! All creation exists for His pleasure. Then the wind died down. The voice of the wind was stopped. The voice of the evil spirit of fear was stopped. And the peace of God that passes all understanding reigned supreme. Still afraid, they asked themselves: Who is this Man?’

Do you want to know who is Jesus Christ? Jesus is the second Person of the Trinity. He is God! He is the ‘I AM’!
1. I AM the Bread of Life (John 6:35, 41, 48, 51);
2. I AM the Light of the World (John 8:12);
3. I AM the Door of the Sheep (John 10:7, 9);
4. I AM the Good Shepherd (John 10:11,14);
5. I AM the Resurrection and the Life (John 11:25);
6. I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6);
7. I AM the True Vine (John 15:1, 5)
Jesus Christ is also my Savior and my Lord! Give your life to Christ today!
In Christ I declare:
I am a child of God!
Jesus Christ rose from the dead and the wind died down!
My breakthrough is here!
My victory is sure!
I am free, healed and delivered!
In Jesus name,
Amen!

PRAYER REQUEST

From the CNN news yesterday: Armed men kidnapped an American missionary from a school in Nigeria and have demanded the equivalent of almost $300,000 for her safe return, Nigerian police said Tuesday. The Rev. Phyllis Sortor, a missionary with the Free Methodist Church in Seattle, was identified by her church as the U.S. citizen abducted from the Hope Academy compound in Kogi state.

“Dear Heavenly Father, please intervene in this situation. Lord Jesus Christ, please glorify Your name in the life of Your daughter and servant. Dear Holy Spirit we pray that you comfort Sister Phyllis and free her. May the robbers see Christ in this woman and be converted. We come against any evil spirit energizing these men. We bind you and reject you! We destroy the occult power of any charm that emboldens the robbers. Holy Spirit please come down and give us, the Body of Christ a fresh testimony of Your power and grace! We vow to give You alone all the glory! In Jesus name we pray, amen!”Rev Phylillis

A LITTLE LONGER

“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices! Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil. For the evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land” (Ps 37:7-9)

Someone asked the Duke of Wellington why are the British soldiers better than others? Why do they win all the battles? His answer was not what you expect. He revealed the secret of success. He said that his soldiers can hold on five minutes longer than that the enemy’s army. To many, that was a strange answer. He did not say that the British eat better food, that their weapons are better, that their uniforms are more beautiful or that they have discovered a new strategy. No! He said that they do everything the enemy is doing, but a little longer than him.

What do we learn from this? Men look for success in big things. They think that some great revelation will make them leaders of men or champions in conflict. They ignore the simple routine of life. They ignore the power of patience and faith, in doing all things as unto the Lord. Why is it that a cat will always conquer the rat? If the rat hides in a hole, the cat will seat and wait patiently outside. Sometimes later, the rat grows tired of the prison hole, becomes impatient and comes out. He forgets that the cat is still outside. The patient cat will catch the less patient rat. This is a great lesson: the patient man becomes the champion! If you trust God, if you pray, if you wait and if you love a little longer than your enemy, you shall win the battle!

The Bible says that patient people win the battle and become landowners. Now you know the secret of true success! Praise the Lord!

In Christ I declare:

I am a child of God!

I am patient!

My enemy shall be cut off!

I shall inherit the land!

In Jesus name

Amen!
