“And Abraham called the name of the place, The-Lord-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, “In the Mount of the Lord it shall be provided.” (Gen 22:14)

The prayer meeting was very good. We praised God with singing and dancing. Then brethren shared testimonies of God’s miraculous intervention in their lives. This is just one: Sister O who is 14 years old was told by the doctors more than two years ago that she has glaucoma and she will be blind in about 6 months. Yesterday she went to see her eye doctor having complaining that she does not see well. She thought that the power of her lenses became too weak for her. The doctor examined her. To her surprise he said that her sight is improving and he reduced the power of her lenses. That is a miracle. We continue to pray for her.

Then the message came:

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

“The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon” (Mt 6:19-24)

Our Lord gives us instructions as we prepared to have an encounter with Jehovah Jireh. Jesus says that there are two treasures: one on earth and one in heaven. He counsels us not to store on earth because the wealth here is good but temporary. Many things can destroy the treasure here. He commands us to store it in heaven. Yes, Jesus wants us to store wealth in heaven. He does not want us to scatter our blessings, but to gather them, to store them.

If you are a child of God then your Father has opened an account for you in heaven. Let me say this… This account is not for God. Read again! It is ‘for yourselves’. How do I pay in my account in heaven? By using my resources (money, time, gifts etc) for the increase of the Kingdom of God! I cannot carry cash with me when I die. The deposits must be done now, while I live on earth. For example, if I use 100 Naira to buy groundnuts and eat them, that is good. But tomorrow I will be hungry again. But if I place 100 Naira in the offering basket, as an offering to God, it has a greater value. The reward for that will be paid in my heavenly account. It is the same me and the same amount, but different values!

You need to change the way you think. You need to have faith in the Word of God. Then it will not be hard for you to increase your true eternal riches. Your heart will be in heaven where your treasure is. As thieves cannot break into your heavenly account no devil can break your heart. This is the secret why some people are spiritually and emotionally strong. No devil can break their heart for it is un-reachable and un-breakable.

There are also two sets of eyes. The bad eye is the covetous eye, the jealous eye. Because of that, the body, mind and emotions are filed with darkness, with fear and ignorance. For as long as you covet other people’s property and you want to compete with them, you shall not be able to encounter Jehovah Jireh. You may only meet the devil, the wicked prince of darkness. This is the best advice for you: Repent of covetousness! Tell God that you are grateful with His provision for you. Then God will come and meet with you. He will answer your prayers and provide for all your needs, even much more than you imagine!

Finally, there are two masters: God and Mammon. In other words, there are two gods: God Almighty and the devil. Tonight, we made a vow that no matter how much God will bless us we shall only worship Jehovah Jireh, the Giver and not the gifts. God is our God forever! Money is our servant, never a master, never a god.

Now you are ready to move on, to draw closer to God…arms open wide…we receive your package from above…prosperity without sorrow…Lord, we shall surely testify of your supernatural provision, goodness, power and love…we decided to seek the Kingdom of God…all other things shall follow…The Holy Spirit came as a blanket of encouragement and hope, enveloping us. It is so easy to believe even impossible things when God is so near…Thank You Lord for Your sweet presence. You are all we need…the glory covers and we can only worship…

“I thank You Father for the revelation of Your will and plan for my daily life as I see it in Your Word. Your perfect will, not mine, be done in my life! Your plan for me is good and not evil, to give me a glorious hope and a joyful future! I trust all Your promises! I reject doubt!
I thank You for Your will for my life today is to be filled with the Holy Spirit! Your will for my life is to manifest Your fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control! This is Your will for me. It shall come to pass for all to see!

I resist and reject every plan of the devil to rob me of the will of God for my life so to be blind, foolish and barren. I refuse this day to trust my feelings, men’s opinions or their imaginations. I totally reject the evil spirit of Jezebel who wants me to be proud and stubborn, to be un-willing to repent and to be unwilling to do God’s will!
I believe and therefore I confess that I am a fruitful vine personally planted by the Lord and for His glory. I believe and declare that I shall live long, that I shall be strong, able to see and enjoy my children’s children. I declare that God is happy with me, that I have the mind of Christ and the fullness of the God’s will is my portion today!
“I delight to do Your will, O my God; Your law is within my heart.” (Ps 40:8)
In Jesus name,

“Isaac asked, “How did you find it so quickly, my son?”

“The LORD your God put it in my path!” Jacob replied.

“Because the LORD your God granted me success.”

“Because the LORD your God caused it to happen to me.”

“And he said, because the LORD thy God brought it to me”

“Because the LORD your God worked it out for me.” (Gen 27:20)

Please pay attention! The devil has slowed you down. You feel sleepy, heavy, confused, worried and over-concerned with the things of this world. By now, you were supposed to finish your exams and your projects. By now, you were supposed to collect the gains. By now, the harvest was to be inside your store. By now you were supposed to be married. By now you were supposed to have children…

The devil placed strange iron weights on your back…he has locked heavy chains on your ankles.

Don’t you see? This sickness is not your own. This depression is not your own. This failure is not your own. This poverty is not your own. Why carry another man’s load? Why do you tolerate sin and evil around you? Why do you keep quiet when you can pray? Why eat when you can fast? Why weep when you can worship God?

Child of God! I decree today that you are strong and courageous! I decree today that the Holy Spirit will give you the push to go ahead and find your blessing QUICKLY! Receive your healing, your breakthrough! QUICKLY! I decree today that God will grant you SUCCESS! QUICKLY! God will cause the miracle to happen! QUICKLY! God will bring you peace and joy! QUICKLY! God will work all things in your life for His glory! QUICKLY! Your testimony will be shared with others!

The greatest miracle of all is to become a child of God! The next supernatural blessing is to become filled with the Holy Spirit, to receive power to be a witness for the Lord. It is the greatest privilege to serve God, to do ministry, to be a pastor or a teacher of the Word. It is also a great responsibility to be a father (mother) in Christ, a mentor, a role model to others. Children imitate their parents, what they see and what they hear. No man is an island. We influence others to be better or worse. May God use us for more, for His glory and for the encouragement of others!
This is a letter from a brother who attends our church. He got married not too long ago. His wife was attending another church before their marriage. She was born again but not Spirit filled. She came to see me. She had some complains. I told her all she needs is to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Then the miracle happened. The heavens opened…The Holy Spirit filled her to overflow. She is now so much better, loving God, hungry for His Word. Her face shines with the glory of God. She is a better wife and mother. To God be all the glory!

“Dear Malia,
Praise God……… All glory to Jesus. Can’t thank the Holy Spirit enough. My wife is now filled with the Holy Spirit. I heard her pray and speak in tongues. I have never heard my wife speak in tongues. B4 we got married I asked her about it but she said she has tried to but couldn’t. I didn’t force her to but I believed she will be filled with the Holy Spirit someday. She encountered the Holy Spirit when she had a meeting with you the other day. There was an over flow of joy in her since that meeting. She thanked God for the opportunity she had with u. Since then I have heard her pray and speak in tongues often. I didn’t discuss it with her but I’m filled with joy & I know she’s happier. I asked her recently who was her role model and she said Ma’am Lia. Thanks for being a spiritual mother to us. We’re indeed grateful and pray that God will bless you & your household, In Jesus name, Amen”

“I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me comes One who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire” (Mt 3:11)

“For your ways are in full view of the Lord and He examines all your paths. The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare them; the cords of their sins hold them fast. For lack of discipline they will die, led astray by their own great folly” (PV 5:20-23)

The church cannot save a soul. Religion cannot change his heart. If you see a religious man addicted to a particular sin and unable to be delivered, it means he is ‘wicked’. In other words he is an unbeliever. For the believer has real help, the power of the Holy Spirit. He prays in the name of Jesus and he can be set free from any sin. But the unbeliever uses the power of his flesh trying to be free. That is a losing battle. According to the Bible, an unbeliever is a wicked man. Everything he does is wicked. Even his so called prayer is offensive to God. The wicked deeds are the very cords that ‘ensnare’ his soul. It is a trap of the devil forcing his victim to commit more evil.

An unbeliever is not only wicked but also a rebellious fool. Without Christ he will perish for ‘lack of discipline’. In Hebrew this word means chastisement, warning, instruction, restrain, correction, rebuke or instruction according to correct doctrine. Without the chastisement of God the wicked shall go astray. The proud man shall be misled. He will make many mistakes, becoming deceived and deceiving others. Intoxicated with his foolishness, ignorant of the truth, he will wander into more danger and disgrace.

Tonight I worship God…looking back, I discover that it is so easy to go astray! This evening I thank God for His Fatherly love, for chastising me, for blocking my way when I wanted to backslide, for using people to rebuke me for my pride, for my loveless attitude and my dangerous fears…I thank God especially for my husband, who is also my pastor, who pointed out to me my faults as a wife, as a woman of God, and patiently corrected me…I thank God for my children who helped me to see my weaknesses as a mother and help me to improve…I even thank God for my enemies who were hard enough on me. They made me cry but my tears washed the dirt of confusion and the slime of fear…I thank God for the Holy Spirit who did not allow me to go too far in my foolishness …Yes, this is a thanksgiving night for me…To God be all the glory!

Do you know the story of Cinderella? I hope you do for it is one of my favorite children’ story. She was a princess. Her mother died and her father re-married. Her step mother hated Cinderella and punished her daily. She was to stay at home, clean the house, cook and labor like a slave. Her step sisters had fancy clothes and they could go out to the parties. Cinderella was humble, well behaved and beautiful. Her sisters were spoiled, proud, lazy, rude and ugly. One day, the king of that domain announced that he will open the gates of his palace for a great royal party. His son, the prince, was looking for a bride and all the young girls were invited to attend it. The step mother made the decision: only she and her daughters will go to the king’s palace. Cinderella will stay at home. To increase her labor she poured a sack of rice on the floor and added sand to it. She told Cinderella that if she is able to clean the rice, she can go to the party too. This was an impossible task. To make it even more difficult, Cinderella did not even have nice clothes. Then a miracle happens. The angel of God intervenes. Supernaturally Cinderella’s labor was done in seconds. Beautiful clothes and a golden carriage fit for a princess appear at the door. That is how Cinderella goes to the party. She wins the heart of the prince and they get married. Her step mother and her daughters are disappointed and totally defeated. This is a long story made short…

Spiritually speaking, the devil attacks the godly, the faithful and the humble believers. The devil has no mercy, no patience and no kindness. You may be overwhelmed with hard labor and discouragement. You may feel depressed and not appreciated. The main source of this attack is the evil spirit of religion, called Jezebel. Her agents are lovers of money, proud, rude, lazy and morally corrupted. These people (men or women) have some authority over you. They can be your spouse, your boss, political leaders, bank managers, relatives or friends. They love to oppress you. They frustrate your life with impossible demands. They are never satisfied with your labors. They never see anything good in you, they discourage you. They are fault finders. They will ‘add sand to the rice’ and ask you to clean it. If you beg for mercy they will only mock you…If you weep in their presence, they will only be happy…

What can you do, child of God? First of all, remember God! Do not panic! Also, do not be distracted! Have faith in God’s Word! Be strong and courageous! Just like with Cinderella, pray for God to come down and help you. He knows your pain and He knows your address. God is faithful! Pray! Pray! Pray! You need a miracle! Do not make the mistake to fight using your own natural wisdom or power. You need the Holy Spirit to fight your battles. Then you will surely win.

The lesson from Cinderella’ story is this: It is not she who laughs first that will rejoice at last! It is not she who loves money that will be promoted! It is not she who goes to the party that will marry the prince! God is not unjust to forget all your labor of love for Him! The Royal Bride is chosen from among the children of God. Boaz married Ruth! Xerxes married Esther! God calls you ‘My beloved’!  Do not fear what men will do! God’s favor is with you! That is all that you need! Trust the Almighty God who alone knows the end from the beginning! Jesus is the Owner of your life and the Director of your love story! None can delete your destined testimony! Let your light shine before men… I am hearing the heavenly music…Put on your dancing shoes…Let the miracle happen…

“My heart rejoices in the Lord;

My horn is exalted in the Lord.

I smile at my enemies,

Because I rejoice in Your salvation.

“No one is holy like the Lord,

For there is none besides You,

Nor is there any rock like our God.

The Lord makes poor and makes rich;

He brings low and lifts up.

He raises the poor from the dust

And lifts the beggar from the ash heap,

To set them among princes

And make them inherit the throne of glory” (1Samuel 2)

In Christ I declare:

I am a child of God!

I and my family we are blessed!

I am fearfully and wonderfully made by God!

My enemies are defeated!

God is with me so my victory is sure!

I will never be disappointed!

I shall testify of God’s goodness and mercy in my life!

My ashes have become my beauty!

God has vindicated me! For His glory!

I am now happy…

In Jesus name,

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Heb 11:6)

Faith is the breath and the oxygen of the Christian. Faith is an intimate relationship with the Truth, with the Word of God. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Rom). Biblical faith is a relationship with Jesus Christ, who is Truth, the Word made flesh. Not all religious faiths are acceptable or pleasing to God. The ‘pleasing faith’ is the total trust of the born again believer in God the Father, who was pleased to allow all His fullness to dwell in His Son (Col 1:19).  You need to be pleased with what God is pleased. Out of that organic unity, true faith in God matures in the believer and shall produce expected fruit. God rewards any person who desires to meet with Him, to worship Him in Spirit and in truth. God is a Rewarder! To reward it means that God will pay back for all your efforts, expenses and losses incurred in the process of seeking Him!

This is a true testimony I just heard it today, at the end of the Sunday service.

A sister came to my office late last year. She, her husband and children attended a ‘white garments’ church for many years (this is a cult, a non-Biblical ‘church’). Her parents are saved and they continued to pray for them. About a year ago, they decided to come to our church. Immediately they saw the light of God and became saved. She told me that they live far away. That the only car they have is used by her husband. That she wants to come to weekly church activities and even to be involved in a ministry. She said that she cannot come because of lack of ‘transport’. Then I asked her: “What will you do if God gives you a car?” She said that she will give God all the glory and she promises to become a usher in the church. Then I quoted Hebrews 1:6. I told her that if she is serious with God, she should take a step of faith and become an usher even without a car. I assured her that God rewards people who sacrifice in seeking Him. She got excited and accepted the challenge. We then prayed. I told her that God will give her a new car that consumes very little fuel. That she will not work for that car. That someone will bring the keys of that car to her as a gift from God. Since then she has been faithful as an usher, coming to weekly activities with her 3 little children using public transport.

At the end of today’s service she came and told me that God has answered the prayer of 6 months ago. This is the story: Her husband is involved in local politics. Yesterday he went to the party’s rally in a village. The leader took the microphone and announced that some people will be rewarded for their hard labor in the party. He called their names. Her husband was surprised to hear his name. He went to the podium and they gave him a new Japanese car (in Nigeria we called it ‘tear-rubber’). He cried and worshipped God. He drove home with the new car. He did not tell his wife about it, so it will be a surprise. He came into the house and gave her the keys of the car. He promised to register it in her name so that she can come to church with the children. To God be all the glory!

May your faith in Jehovah Jireh increase! Believe that God exists and that He will reward your labor of love as you seek and serve Him! Do not seek money, cars or fame. Seek Jesus Christ in whom the fullness of God the Father dwells. Work for God. Pay the price for ministry. Seek God until you find Him. This is the promise of God: He that trusts in God shall not be disappointed! God will reward your faith and pay with much more than you expect!

This is our God!

In Christ I declare:

I trust in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit!

Faith 100%! Doubt 0%!

My faith in God shall be rewarded!

I shall not be disappointed!

To God be all the glory!

In Jesus name
