HAPPY WITH CHURCH TONIGHT
(Fasting and prayer day 25)
The evening prayer meeting was very good. We prayed and praised God. As the dew falls upon the grass in the morning, we patiently waited for the presence of the Holy Spirit to ’settle’ on our hearts. We were not disappointed. You could literally feel the wind of the Holy Spirit blowing on our souls. Then the message came. We are in a season of spiritual warfare. In the military there are three basic strategies in the area of warfare: offensive, defensive and withdrawal. To be offensive it means to be aggressive, to be ready for battle forcefully driving back the enemy; having the tendency to habitually pay the price for the crown of victory. ‘The violent takes it by force’. To be defensive it means to protect the gain you already have. To withdraw it means to abandon your possessions and the enemy takes over. Take note: It is only thru offensive strategy that you can gain victories, breakthroughs and miracles. The devil will try all he can to keep you being defensive or to withdraw from your position. The devil only fears a Christian who has the mind of Christ and the heart of a warrior. A wise man attacks the stronghold of the enemy and conquers it (PV 21:22). A wise man is someone who knows how to apply the Word of God in daily living. A wise man is someone who uses to Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God thru a holy offensive strategy. His victory is sure and he will do great exploits.
In Daniel Chapter 6 we see the old prophet passing thru the fires of testing on the road to prosperity. He is about 90 years old when he was thrown in the den of lions. This is his most difficult trial. The king was planning to promote him. But the enemies became jealous and wanted him dead. The secret of his success was ‘an excellent spirit’. This is the abundant fruit of the Holy Spirit. To be excellent it means to have the highest degree of quality of character; it means to go above the limit of previous achievements; it means to be superior to all others in a race. It means to be the Champion of champions. You can see the intimate relationship between God and His faithful servant, Daniel. He could boast that ‘God Almighty is my God’. Can you really say that God is your God? If you pass the test of hungry lions, then you are set for divine promotion. Many say about life: it is not a do or die affair. But if you want to be promoted by God, you may have to say that it is ‘a do or die affair’. Or like Queen Esther said: I will go and see the King! And if I perish, I perish’. This is what Darius, the pagan king proclaimed:
“I make a decree that in every dominion of my kingdom men must tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: For He is the living God,
And steadfast forever;
His kingdom is the one which shall not be destroyed,
And His dominion shall endure to the end.
He delivers and rescues,
And He works signs and wonders
In heaven and on earth,
Who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions” (Dan 6:26-27)
God is longing to bless you, in your body, soul, spirit, family, finances, ministry and business. Are you ready to pay the price? God is waiting for you…
