“My heart rejoices in the Lord; in the Lord my horn is lifted high.
My mouth boasts over my enemies for I delight in Your deliverance…“There is no one holy like the Lord; there is no one besides You; there is no Rock like our God… “The Lord sends poverty and wealth; He humbles and He exalts. He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; He seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honor” (1Sam 2:1-8)
The women’ fellowship was very good. We had a record number of women attending. We are fasting and praying this month. I could feel the expectation and faith ‘in the air’. We praised God with songs and dance. Some sisters testified to the goodness and faithfulness of God. Sister H said that she was healed from serious back pain and she is now debt free. Sister Y testified that God helped her mother who fell on top of hot rice in her kitchen. She burnt her back but it could have been worse. Her mother in law miraculously escaped a stray bullet. Sister A fell and twisted her foot during Jesus Mega Party. She could not work but she continued to do her ministry at the media stand. She said that she will never take walking for granted. Sister E’s son was very sick but God healed him. Sister B testified that since the prophetic word of peace came last month, she has experience the peace of God that passes all understanding. We all praised God for His faithfulness towards His children!
Then the Word came: “God promotes the humble and God demotes the proud”. Proud Queen Vashti had to vacate the throne and Esther, a humble child of God, replaced her. The wicked, rich and powerful Haman ’fell from grace’ and was replaced by the humble and faithful Mordecai. Hannah wept and asked God for a baby boy. She vowed that she will give her son back to God. She got pregnant and had Samuel. She brought the child to the altar according to her vow. Then God gave her more children. Samuel became a prophet and a great man of God. This was her victory against her mate Peninah who had many children and who in the past oppressed her with words. God promoted Samuel who replaced the corrupted priesthood, represented by the wicked sons of Eli.
All power belongs to God. He is able to change all situations. Like Hannah, your prayer shall become praise. Your weeping shall be replaced with tears of joy. Do not look at your immediate circumstances. Look up ‘unto the hills’ of grace from where your help comes. There is a change in the spiritual atmosphere. People who are known as great, rich and secure, shall fall down, humbled by the living God. But the humble faithful children of God, who are waiting on God for many years, shall suddenly be promoted and none can stop it. God shall bless the work of your hands: money shall meet money! There shall be no interruptions of poverty or lack in the holy chain of wealth granted by Jehovah Jireh. Health shall meet health! There shall be no seasons of sicknesses interrupting the divine health, the gift of Jehovah Rapha. God will perfect the good work He has started in you and in your family! God is the God of miracles. All things are possible for God! We believe! We refuse to doubt! We prayed with passion, faith and courage. We worshiped God in Spirit and in Truth! God will surely answer us. The testimonies shall increase and multiply! In Jesus name, amen!
(This is a picture of a happy, grateful to God African mother and her child. I imagine that Hannah and Samuel could have looked like this)
