This is what Jehovah God says to His people: ‘Be careful to keep my Sabbath day, for the Sabbath is a sign of the covenant between Me and you from generation to generation. It is given so you may know that I am the LORD, who makes you holy” (Ex 31:13:NLT). I speak as a Pastor and also as a mother in Zion! One word for the wise is enough! In the Old Testament, male circumcision was a command given by God. It was a covenant, a visible sign that the man belongs to God. In the same way, Keeping the Sabbath Day holy for God, is also a command. It is a sign between God and His people (male and female), that they belong to the only living God, to the One who alone can save and sanctify them. If you are a child of God, I beg you, attend your local church’ services, especially on Sundays. God monitors your attendance. Going to church, attending the weekly services and other activities is a privilege. But in particular, Sunday is God’s special day. God promised that as you come, He will make you holy! Except you have a very special reason why you are not in God’s house on Sunday mornings, please honor God, the pastor and the brethren, by attending the services!
