THE BLESSING OF BEING A MOTHER IN ZION

“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you” (Ex 20:12)

One of my dear daughters in Christ sent me this loving note this morning. I truly thank God for her life. Words are powerful. They encourage more than medicine! Words are even more powerful when they are spoken at the right time, the needy time. Often, the patients forget that their doctor needs encouragement also. Children forget that their parents need love too. No mattter our age, no matter our anointing, no matter our financial status… we all need a good word spoken from the heart! I use this note to reach other parents with a hand of love! Dear mothers and fathers, spiritual and natural, God bless you today with a surprising gift of joy coming from your children! In Jesus name, amen!

“Dear Malia,
A Mum is a small portion of God’s love in action. She looks with her heart and feels with her eyes. A Mum is the bank where her children deposit all their worries and hurt. A mum is the cement that keeps her family together and her love lasts a lifetime. I send this to you Mum let you know you are absolutely wonderful 💯💋
Thanks for being my Mum,
You daughter…”

PRESS ON!

This is a word of encouragement for the believer who is at the threshold of deliverance. You have prayed and trusted God. You are now waiting for your healing, your breakthrough or your deliverance. But suddenly things got worse. Please read Exodus 5. Prophetically this is a drama and you are an actor there. Choose your ‘role’! Pharaoh stands for the devil. Moses and Aaron stand for mature servants of God, leaders, pastors. The people of God represent the believers in Christ. The Egyptians are your unbelieving friends and relatives. They do not understand your desire to be free. If they do not get converted to Jehovah they will be left behind once the door of freedom is opened for you.

This is the background story: The people of Israel have been in Egypt for more than 400 years. Initially things were good for them but later, they became slaves to the Egyptians and suffered greatly. God sees their pain and sends Moses in His name to be their savior. Moses confronts Pharaoh, the king of Egypt with the words: “Let My people go, that they may hold a feast to Me in the wilderness!” (Ex 5:1).  Pharaoh rejects Jehovah’s word. He attacks God’s people. He increases the burden upon the slaves. From now on they have to work double for the same ‘salary’. The leaders of God’s people are under great pressure to perform the impossible. To please Pharaoh they oppress their own people. But they failed to perform. They are beaten and abused by the Egyptians task masters. Lesson: persecution coming from your friends and enemies shall increase just before your healing, your deliverance. Behind them is the devil who is trying to stop your progress!

Under pressure to work in such a negative environment of hopeless frustration and deep depression, the people of God make two mistakes. The first one is this: they go and cry to Pharaoh to make their labor lighter. Pharaoh refuses to listen to their pleas and even insults them saying that they are ‘idle and lazy’. Pharaoh calls their desire to worship Jehovah as ‘lies and vain words’. Lesson: the devil has no mercy. Never expect any good thing from the devil. He will try to kill you with work so that you forget to worship your God. You should cry to God and not to the devil. This is the second mistake: Rejected by Pharaoh, the people of God insulted Moses and Aaron. They blamed their leaders for their troubles. Lesson: if you are blind to God’s plan to heal you, to deliver you, to bless you, when trouble comes you will attack the man of God who brought you the good news of salvation and hope. Never insult your pastors! Bless and pray for them!

Moses stands as a true man of God. In the past, when his people rejected him as their leader, Moses ran away from ministry. But this time he stands trusting God. He does the right thing: “Moses returned to the Lord” (Ex 5:22). Moses prays to God who answers with an immediate action. This is not a time for only words! God promises to  punish Egypt and they will know that He is God! “Then the Lord said to Moses, “Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh. For with a strong hand he will let them go, and with a strong hand he will drive them out of his land.” And God spoke to Moses and said to him: “I am the Lord” (Ex 6:1, 2)

Child of God, these are some lessons for this season: God calls you to serve Him but your obedience must be tasted. You have to stand faithful even when you are lonely and rejected like Moses!  Trust God who called you. Do not trust in man! Never complain! Do not slander your pastors!  Pray for wisdom, for understanding of God’s plan in your life! God sees the end from the beginning. Pray that you see the end of the trial too! The joy you see at the end will empower you to endure! The devil hates God’s worship and God’s work. You must pay the price to be a worshipper or a worker for God!  Trust God for the breakthrough! For miracles! For vengeance! You should know that before the day breaks the night is the darkest. Be encouraged! Forget the past! The devil is a liar and a loser! God has the last say! Press on into the light! Exercise your faith! Hold on to your hope!  God is working something on your behalf! God is not a man that He should lie! This trial will not kill you! You shall come out of this fire stronger than ever! Your testimony has been approved by God! Both friends and enemies will see it! None can stop it! Let the weak say: I am strong! Let the sick say: I am healed! Let the poor say: I am rich! Let the oppressed say: I am free! Free to worship God! To the glory of God! Be filled with the Holy Spirit! In Jesus’ name, amen!

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not” (Gal 6:9)

GOD TEACHES YOU TO PROFIT

“Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel:

“I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go.

Oh, that you had heeded My commandments!

Then your peace would have been like a river,

And your righteousness like the waves of the sea…

Go forth from Babylon! Flee from the Chaldeans! With a voice of singing …

And they did not thirst when He led them through the deserts;

He caused the waters to flow from the rock for them;

He also split the rock, and the waters gushed out.

“There is no peace,” says the Lord, “for the wicked.” (Is 48:17-22)

God promises that He will take care of His children. He will redeem them. The word ‘redeem’ means to buy back that which was stolen by the enemy. Jehovah God, the covenant keeping God, knows how to ‘go to the market and buy all what He wants’. God created you and when you sinned, He sent His Son to die for you. By virtue of creation and redemption, God has the right to call you His own. ‘God teaches you to profit’. In Hebrew, the word ‘profit’ means to rise in value, to be good and useful. See God as your Heavenly Royal Father who teaches you, His son or His daughter, to work in His Kingdom. He teaches you how to make a good investment, how to succeed and what is best for you.

This promise applies to your way of life in general, ministry and business.  “Godliness with contentment is great gain” (1Tim 6:6) Becoming like Jesus is always profitable, in this life and in the life to come.  Obedience to the commandments of God brings blessings upon your life, your children and the work of your hands. Godly success approved by God comes with peace and joy and without sorrow. Even in the midst of ‘business wolves’, the flock of Christ has peace and prosperity. We are commanded to flee from Babylon, the system of becoming successful by destroying others. There is no peace for the wicked. Do not make peace with the evil people. Do not make them your friends of business partners! Their troubles will overflow to you. Trust God for blessings, for miracles! He promised to supply water in the desert. Trust God for that! It is not only by having a capital that you can start a business. More than anything you need faith in the living God! Do not be afraid to start small! “Do not despise small beginnings” (Zech 4:10).  Have faith that God will bless the work of your hands! “And though your beginning was small, your latter days will be very great” (Job 8:7). Lastly, faithfully pay your ‘full’ tithe from all your increase! God has promised to bless you above all what you think or imagine! (Mal 3:10).

These are some Biblical principles of true prosperity:

*PERSEVERE UNTIL THERE IS PROFIT

*BE CONFIDENT OF THE QUALITY OF YOUR MERCHANDISE

*PRAY, PLAN AND PREPARE

*WATCH, PRAY AND WORK

*SEPARATE FROM EVIL PEOPLE

*PRAISE GOD WITH SINGING

*WORK FOR THE GLORY OF GOD AND FOR YOUR GOOD

*TRUST GOD AND NOT MAN

*PAY YOUR FULL TITHE

*ALWAYS GIVE GOD ALL THE GLORY

May God bless you and the work of your hands! May your business be profitable! May your life be a blessing to many! In Jesus name, amen!

THE SURE MERCIES OF DAVID

HAPPY WITH CHURCH TONIGHT

“Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live;

And I will make an everlasting covenant with you— the sure mercies of David” (Is 55:3)

The prayer meeting was very good. The prayers were full with faith. The praises were strong going upwards without hindrance. I always appreciate when the worship leader prepares the way for me to preach the Word. There was a clear expectation in the hall; that something good is going to happen. Faith must be exercised to be enjoyed. Then the word came: THE SURE MERCIES OF DAVID! God is an inviting God. He says: Come! He is the host of the eternal celebrations in heaven. At God’s table the hungry, the thirsty, the poor, the sick, the sad and the disappointed ones were given water, milk and wine. We ate to our satisfaction. We were healed and delivered. Then we heard a voice. It was the King of kings’ voice. He said that we came in as needy guests but now we shall become the Royal Bride. Jesus says: “I love you! I died for you! I am yours and you are Mine! Just receive My Word” This love was more intoxicating than the wine we just drank. The anointing of the Holy Spirit was breaking all yokes. The breaking was almost audible. The prisoners were freed. The devil panicked. He was looking for the chains to bind us again but he could not find them. We rejoiced at his loss and at our freedom. Prayer was very sweet tonight, flowing like milk and honey!

The eternal covenant of the sure mercies of King David is ours! This is an unconditional covenant made between God and David. God promises David and Israel that the Messiah (Jesus Christ) would come from the lineage of David and from the tribe of Judah.  He will establish a kingdom that will endure forever. The Davidic Covenant is unconditional because God does not place any conditions of obedience upon its fulfillment. The surety of the promises made rests solely on God’s faithfulness and does not depend at all on David or Israel’s obedience. The key words are these: LAND- HOUSE- DESCENDANTS- THRONE- ESTABLISH- PEACE –VICTORY- REST- FOREVER

Therefore, according to 2 Samuel 7 and partaking by faith in the sure mercies of David, in Christ I declare:

*I have entered in a season of Shalom (peace, health, wealth, favor and friendliness)! I will rejoice in my God!

*I am born again! My husband (wife) is born again! Our children are born again!

*We shall have a good name, a good testimony of favor and fame to the glory of God! We are witnesses for Christ!

*We shall have our own land and build our own house! We shall not die as tenants! Our house will be a place of blessings, worship, peace and rest!

*God has defeated all our enemies!

*We shall not die untimely death! We shall fulfill our days and finish God’s assignment on earth!

*We shall be worshippers on earth and in heaven!

*The singles shall marry! The married shall be happy and have children (boys and girls/ natural and spiritual)

*Our children are children of covenant! They are not ordinary children. They are kings and priests! They will worship God more than the parents! If they go astray, God will use other people to chastise them. But God will never take away His love and mercy from them! They are blessed! God has provided all they need! We shall not worry anymore! The blessings upon me and my family are forever! Nobody can change that! To the glory of God!

WHY WORK?

“Do not overwork to be rich… Will you set your eyes on that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away like an eagle toward heaven” (PV 23:4, 5)

Many religious people quote this verse to excuse their laziness. They say that there is no need to work because wealth can disappoint. The Bible says that God is the owner of all things. God has made all things for Himself! We have no ownership rights, only responsibilities. This scripture does not say that work is bad. God created man to work. Even before the fall God told man to work in the Garden. The text does not say that it is wrong to work for money. God says that we should be stewards over the things (gifts) He gave to us. The text does not say that it is wrong to be rich. We should not feel guilty when we enjoy the good things in this world. What is wrong is to work only to become rich!!! It is wrong to work only for the increase and pleasure provided by material things. Materialism means to work hard only for the things of this world. Materialistic people are not lazy! They also work very hard. But their heart is not right with God.

What then is the purpose of work? We work for the glory of God and for our good. We work because God works. “Jesus answered them, “To this very day My Father is at His work, and I too am working.” Because of this, the Jews tried all the harder to kill Him” (Jn 5:17, 18). The devil hates and persecutes you when you work for the glory of God. Laziness is not a virtue. We work to have resources to contribute to the increase of the Kingdom of God. We work so that we do not have to steal to survive and bring shame upon the name of our God. We work so that we can be generous to others who need our help. If your heart is right with God, then He will bless your hands!

work hard

SHE PERCEIVES THAT HER MERCHANDISE IS GOOD

HAPPY WITH CHURCH TONIGHT
“She perceives that her merchandise is good, and her lamp does not go out by night
She makes sure her dealings are profitable; her lamp burns late into the night
She senses the worth of her work, is in no hurry to call it quits for the day” (PV 31:13-18)

Our women’ fellowship was very good. We praised God and prayed to Him. Then the word came: The godly woman described in Proverbs 31 is the ideal woman. She is our example, hero and mentor. She is successful as a wife, mother and a business woman. In the verses quoted above you see her as a hard working woman. In the course of her labor she is seen as prayerful, strong, disciplined, organized, prudent, observant, perseverant and faithful. She prays that God blesses the work of her hands. Even in dark times and difficulties, when she does not know what to do, she remains focused, she perseveres until there is profit. ‘She perceives that her merchandize is good’. In Hebrew, the word ‘merchandise’ means things bought from traveling and profit made from trade. ‘Even in the night her candle keeps burning’. When her children and servants are sleeping, she is planning for the days ahead.

The word ‘night’ means a time of adversity or recession. You can see that this woman is not easily discouraged by a fallen economy. Her trust is in God and not in man. She does not wait for people to encourage her to so her duty. She encourages herself in the Lord. Depression comes from failure. Depressed people over-eat or over-sleep. This woman prays and plans when people sleep from sorrow or weep from defeat. She is sure that her business is good. She is confident of her merchandise. The things she sells are things she can use herself. She does not cheat her clients. She has no inferiority complex about the quality of her products. She knows that ‘weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning’ (Ps 30:5). She has faith in God that her business will prosper. Prayerfully she perseveres thru the night seasons of low sales. She does not give up what she has started. It is the effort of doing something until the end, the determination to see results, to be fruitful or to make profit even if it is hard. She is not a coward or easily deceived, not lazy or weak willed. She believes the Word: “In all toil there is profit, but mere talk tends only to poverty” (PV 14:23) She is not just talking about business but she is a woman of action! This woman has inspired me to be a woman of God! May God bless the work of your hands! May your work and ministry be profitable! In Jesus name, amen!

MY TESTIMONY
I grew up in a communist country. Every citizen was employed by the state. We were told that having a private business, making a profit or being wealthy was a sinful thing. I took pride in being a poor unbeliever. I came with my husband to Nigeria in 1980. We worked as medical doctors for three years at the Specialist Hospital Benin City. I was very happy because it reminded me of my country. I was employed and I know that with that salary I can never be rich. But then, in 1983, my husband has an idea that we should relocate to Warri and start a private clinic. We called it “Lily Clinic”. God chose to bless us financially. I got scared. For many years I struggled with the idea of making financial profit. As our finances increased so my inferiority complex about being ‘rich’ increased. I apologized all the time for my ‘luck’ in being ‘blessed’. This negative mind set was a stronghold that defined me. My freedom came after I gave my life to Christ and became saved. It was a process, to learn to be who God wants me to be’ to speak Bible words and to behave like a free person. Slowly I had to learn to be grateful to God in riches or poverty. I am now free from wicked doubts, caging fears and false humility. My husband and I we are now in full time ministry. I now work for God. I confidently declare that the Word of God in my mouth is the best ‘merchandise’ in the universe. I perceive that my ‘merchandise’ is good! It is not weak and it is not fake! It is good, sweet, strong and wonderful. The Lord speaks to me especially in the night. That is why even when I sleep, my heart is awake. I boast in the Lord! God blesses the words of my mouth and the work of my hands! The devil is a liar! Let the weak say: “I am strong!” Let the poor say: “I am rich!” This is my prayer for you: “May the Lord give you increase, you and your children! May you be blessed by the Lord, who made heaven and earth” (Ps 115:14, 15)! In Jesus name’ amen!

GLORY REVEALED AND RECEIVED

‘And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me’ (Jn 17:22, 23)

The Gospel we preach is that Jesus Christ, the Son of God came from heaven to earth, became Man and died for sinners like me and you. He died to pay for our sins. He died in our place that we might live. This Gospel is the power of God for the salvation of men. There is no other Gospel and no other power given to men on earth by which they can be saved! Be sure that you believe and that you preach the true Gospel!

This is the truth: God cannot receive sinners into His House where sin has never entered. God cannot possibly take any man to heaven without changing him. Even if it was possible for a sinner to enter heaven, then heaven will be hell for him, for everything there is contrary to his very being. He would never have a moment of peace or pleasure in heaven. Man needs to be born again before he can see, enter or appreciate the Kingdom of heaven. The Lord Jesus Christ obeyed God the Father unto death. On the basis of His perfect work we the believers obtain a new life, an eternal glorious life. Because of the Cross entrance has been ministered to us and heaven is now our eternal home.

On the Cross, Jesus so glorified God that God was justified in raising Him from the dead and rewarding Him as a Man with His eternal glory that He had before the world began. This glory the Son never lost. But in His life on earth as a Man He hid this glory by His body of flesh. Once He died the Lord Jesus Christ received His eternal glory as God for the second time, as a reward for His Work on earth. This openly displayed glory received He shares with us, His children. Our destiny is to become like Jesus Christ and to share in His Eternal glory. Now heaven is indeed our home, not because of angels, streets of gold or rainbows, but because heaven is where Christ lives. Words are not enough to describe these wonderful promises and blessings. With prayers, loving words, songs and silent adoration I worship The Lamb of God this morning! Worship the Lord!

COME AND BUY WITHOUT MONEY!

TESTIMONY TO THE FAITHFULNESS OF GOD

“Ho! Everyone who thirsts,

Come to the waters;

And you who have no money,

Come, buy and eat.

Yes, come, buy wine and milk

Without money and without price” (Is 55:1)

A happy and grateful sister sent me this wonderful testimony about the faithfulness, grace, love and power of God. Her husband, herself and their children are faithful members of our church. They were passing thru a season of difficulty. The devil attacked their finances and their faith. But in their desperation, they humbled themselves and they believed the Word of God. They did spiritual warfare and prophesied victory in Christ! God gave them the expected breakthrough! Dear child of God, may this testimony increase your faith too! I wait for yours too!

“Hello ma, For some time now we’ve been going through some challenges financially. I thought is just a phase that will pass in a month or two but instead things were getting worse each passing day. When we moved to our new apartment, the trials and temptations increased. I went on my knees praying and asking God for a break through, for a turnaround but it was as if nothing was happening. To feed became a problem, to the extent we were unable to pay the children’s school fees this last term. We started considering changing them to another school that is cheaper. Since I’ve been married for the past 10 years, I’ve never gone through this kind of trials and temptations. As husband and wife, we joined our faith together praying for God’s mercies.

Malia, to tell you the truth, at one point, my faith started to drop; I thought God has forsaken us… Not until you started teaching from Isaiah 55. You said God is calling me to a new level of life; He is inviting me to the table to be revived and become stronger. During the prayer, all  what you were saying was directly to me even the next Saturday and for a long time, that Saturday and the next and the next, I prayed through and there was this peace I felt within me and I realize that God has not forsaken us. And also Taleigh started teaching Matters of Indifference and Ephesian 6:10 “Be Strong In The Lord”! And also your admonishments on Sundays have increased my faith to 100%. I found myself doing warfare, praying and trusting the Lord more

Studying the Word more and there is this joy bubbling inside of me and the funniest thing is that this same is also happening to my husband. I remember Taleigh will always say if God wants to talk to you, He will scrap your face and humble you. I’m so blessed to have you has my mother and mentor and Taleigh as my father.

Last week Wednesday, the Lord did a miracle. For some time now, I’ve been trusting the Lord for capital to do business.

During the prayers two Saturday ago, one of the last few words you said before leaving the altar was that “if you want to do business, trust God and not any man” I key in those words even when I know nothing is happening around us. On Wednesday, I was in the bedroom when my husband walked in and asked me how much did you say you want to use to do business? And my reply was “babe you know I’m still trusting the Lord for capital” And he said we should pray. When he started praying, the praying was more on thanking God for his provision and inside me, I was like ‘what has God done this time?” After praying, he told me God has provided the capital for my business and also the children’s school fees for last term and also this first term; that we are not changing them to another school! He said while he was down stairs, his phone beep and he was worried ‘who has sent him message again to come and pay his debt?’ When he looked at his phone, it was an alert of one million, two hundred and something thousand! He was shocked!

I remember, this is what Taleigh said that ‘you will be in your house and your phone will vibrate and you will see an alert’. I use to laugh over it that such a thing is no possible but the Bible say is there anything too difficult for me to do? Certainly nothing!

Now everyday my heart is renewed! I love Jesus! He is faithful! This table the Lord has invited me to come and eat, when He said there is WATER, MILK AND WINE, I will never leave the table! I give all the glory to God! God bless you ma. Good night”

JESUS CHRIST PRAYS FOR ME RIGHT NOW!

“And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren” (Lk 22:31, 32)

This conversation between our Lord and Peter is just before the Cross. Jesus warns him and encourages him in the same time. ‘Satan has asked for you…’ Satan, the accuser of the brethren has asked for permission to ‘sift’ Peter. Interestingly, that permission was granted by God. The word ‘asked’ is a strong word meaning ‘insisting, demanding to come for trial’. This reminds us that the devil is a personality and not just an ‘evil influence’. To sift it means to violently shake something with the intent to separate the components. In particular, sifting wheat means to shake the grains until both chaff and impurities go away and only the good grain remains. The purpose of the devil’s sifting is to separate you from your shield of faith! A soldier without a gun is useless in the battle field! No matter what trial you pass thru, do not drop your faith! Do not think of backsliding! Holding on your faith is your victory!

At the Cross, our Lord Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace and the Desired of the Nations, completely destroyed the power of the devil. No man can stop the process of ‘sifting’ except our Lord Jesus Christ and His intercession. This is the promise of our eternal High Priest, that during all trials His prayer shall sustain us and His grace shall be sufficient to carry on. ‘I have prayed for you…” Say it to yourself: “Jesus Christ prays for me, right now!”

The devil wants to destroy your faith but Jesus says that your faith shall not fail. The devil wants you to backslide but Jesus says that no one of His sheep shall be lost. The devil wants to destroy the unity of the Spirit in the Church and in your marriage. But the end of such a trial of fire is joyful strength that shall be a testimony of encouragement to the other brethren. I encourage you to look unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith! Kings and kingdoms shall pass away, but there is something about Your name…JESUS… The road may have been long and difficult but your future is better than your past! The glory of Christ shall be revealed to the nations! The hearts of men shall be purified and they shall see the Lord! The weeping shall be replaced with rejoicing! The weak shall be strong and the poor shall be rich! There is a turning of the tables! The praises shall increase! The church shall be stronger! Your marriage shall be sweeter! Great shall be your children’ peace! May Christ glorify Himself in your life today!

SEEK + SUBMIT = SUCCESS

“And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the Lord, God made him to prosper” (2Chr 26:5)

Many Christians are seeking for the way to prosperity. They pray long prayers and fast too, but their lives do not change. This is because they are not willing to pay the price to seek God acceptably who alone is the Author and Giver of prosperity. King Uzziah was a successful king. He lived a long life; he defeated the great enemies of Judah; he became famous and rich; he built cities and had a great army. Later in life his prosperity made him proud and God judged him with leprosy. Nevertheless we can learn from him, what the secret of his prosperity was. We can also learn from his mistakes and be careful to remain humble even when God blesses us financially.

In the scripture above you see the two basic requirements you need to fulfill if you desire a successful life with God at the center. Simply said you need to seek (God) and submit (to the spiritual authority God placed above you). Uzziah did both and God granted him prosperity.  In Hebrew the word ‘Prosper’ means to push forward, to break out mightily and to be profitable.

To seek it means to search for something that is hidden. God reveals Himself and also He conceals Himself. Often God brings a cloud of darkness between you and Him. The purpose of this separation is to stir you up to holy romance and to create a longing in your heart so that you will run after Him. To seek it means to ask questions. Never be afraid to ask God questions. You will not be rude or proud in asking. This is my experience: as a teacher I take pleasure when my students ask me questions. I know the difference, when they want to waste my time and when they are truly serious to learn more. The purpose of asking these questions is to know God better, to understand His heart and His ways. To seek it also means to dream big and to pursue the fulfillment of these dreams. This is my advice: If you want to know God, then you need to ask God questions and wait for His answers. The opposite of seeking is to be passive, to hide or to ignore God. It also means to lose opportunities of intimate communion with God, when He is available and willing to answer your questions.

The second thing you need to do on the holy road of prosperity is to submit to the spiritual authority God has placed over you. King Uzziah’s father was a king. He learned the royal protocol from his father. But Uzziah was wise and humble enough to realize that he needs a spiritual mentor. He knew the power of spiritual covering. He cherished his relationship with a prophet called Zechariah, who ‘had understanding in the visions of God’ ‘who thought him the fear of God’ (KJ; NIV). Uzziah’s prosperity was directly connected with his humble submission to the prophet. It is not easy for a king to humble himself under one of his ‘subjects’. But he knew that the ‘man of God’ was more spiritual than him and he gladly accepted his counsel.

Lastly, this is a warning: any form of passivity, spiritual laziness, carelessness about the affairs of your soul, rebellion or pride will shut the door to prosperity. No matter the level of your education, your past professional experience, skills, gifts or hard work, you will not proposer if you reject the law of God. May God grant ‘a melting anointing’ so that you can truly repent from the heart! According to His Word, may God bless the humble seekers with His promised prosperity! In Jesus’ name, amen!

TAKE JOY MY KING

HAPPY WITH CHURCH TONIGHT

The prayer meeting was very good. We praised God, we did spiritual warfare and we prayed. At the beginning there was an opposition in the atmosphere, a stronghold of religion that did not permit us to freely enjoy God’s presence. This hindrance could have been a good excuse to just declare defeat. But we refused to be defeated. The Captain of our salvation commanded us to fight therefore we must fight. We could not think about the danger of the battle. We needed to obey the Word and leave the worry for later. We prayed against every hindrance that blocks our spiritual progress as people, as families and as a church. We declared that no evil person will be able to hide in the crowd and attend church tomorrow. We declared that the fire of the Holy Spirit will drive away from the gate all occult unrepentant people! In the name of Jesus!

Immediately we sensed an open door of grace to enter the breakthrough promised by God. We entered! We did not look back! We declared that from now on it will be ‘forward ever’! From grace to grace! From strength to strength! We worshipped the One who died for us! We worshipped the One who calls us to Himself! We worshipped the Lord Jesus Christ in the Beauty of His holiness! ‘I love to love You Lord…’ The anointing was strong enough to heal any sickness and to destroy any chain! To God be all the glory!

SIGNS OF BEWITCHING

HAPPY WITH CHURCH TONIGHT

The women’ fellowship was very good. We exposed and did spiritual warfare against the demon of religion and of witchcraft.
If you suspect that you are under a spell of witchcraft, what are the signs that you should look for? (Gal 3:1-15)

*FOOLISHNESS, UN-NECESSARY MISTAKES, DISAPPOINTING, BORING, UN-INSPIRING, UN-EVENTFUL LIFE
*NO MANIFESTATION OF ANSWERS TO PRAYERS- LITTLE FAITH, ORDINARY LIFE, NO MIRACLES
*REBELLION, STUBBORNNESS, PRIDE, UN-TEACHABLE, UNABLE TO ACKNOWLEDGE AND OBEY THE TRUTH
*WORLDLY, SELFISH AMBITION, EASILY PROVOKED, STRIFE, QUARRELS, ADDICTED TO GOSSIP
*LOSS OF UNDERSTANDING OF THE POWER OF THE CROSS, OF THE TRUE GOSPEL, OF THE BLOOD
*SPIRITUALLY DEAF, ITCHY EARS- FORGETS THE WORD OF GOD, WEAK OR SLEEPY DURING THE PREACHING OF THE SERMON
*SICKNESS THAT NO MEDICAL TEST CAN DETECT AND NO DRUGS CAN CURE- CHRONIC DEPRESSION, NEGATIVITY, ANXIETY
*MYSTERIOUS PANIC ATTACKS- COWARDICE
*TRUSTING IN SELF TO MAKE PROGRESS IN LIFE- IDENTITY COMES FROM SECULAR SUCCESS, ADDICTED TO WORK, BUSYBODY
*UNABLE TO ACCEPT THE ASSURANCE OF SALVATION; CHRONIC DOUBTS- UN-SUCCESSFUL DELIVERANCE
*UNABLE TO BE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

It takes a fresh work of the Holy Spirit to convict a backslider of sin. It is a miracle to become born again. It is an extraordinary privilege, a double miracle indeed to be arrested again by the Spirit of the only Living and Jealous God. Every backslider comes back with stories of pain, failure and loss. Broken hearted he finally comes to the foot of the Cross and forever calls that spot HOME. Who can tell of the wonder of true salvation? Who can describe the chemistry of a soul set free? Who can speak of open eyes beholding the scepter of mercy? Who can write the story of men made perfect thru the death of their King? Even if I had a thousand tongues to sing the praises of my King, even that shall not be enough to describe the power, the beauty and glory of His Majesty on High! ”O come let us adore Him…Christ the Lord!’

In Christ I declare:
I am born again! I am eternally saved by grace, thru faith in the Blood of Jesus! I trust and obey the Gospel of grace, which is God’s power unto salvation! I am free from any occult spells, evil manipulation or witchcraft influence over my soul!
Jesus died to save my soul; to set me free from the guilt and punishment of sin! I am free indeed! To the glory of God!
In Jesus’ name, Amen!

ALREADY KINDLED

“I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!” (Lk 12:49)

When Jesus came into this world of sin, His express desire was to bring ‘fire on the earth’. John said that Jesus will baptize His own with the Holy Spirit and with fire. God is described as a consuming fire. What is the source of this fire? That volcano is found on the Calvary hill, at the Cross of Christ. It was there, hanging on that tree, the Son of God became a curse for us. It was there, when Jesus died for our sins that the fire of God came from heaven and consumed all things. The history of humanity, nothing and nobody was ever the same, after the Cross. Old things passed away and everything became new.

Fire stands for judgment. We are afraid of fire, for we know that fire has no mercy. All things, all labor and ministry shall be tried with fire. We all have an encounter with the fire of God. There is no salvation, deliverance, promotion or blessings that come without the fire. It purges the hearts and kindles passion in pure vessels. Once you pass thru the fire, you are safe. For example, the patient who survived the sickness called Ebola, has nothing to fear anymore. The wicked virus has tried to kill him but failed. The immunity of the body has won. This survivor is the best candidate to go back to the Ebola infested villages and with bare hands help the others. That is a picture of a man who has passed thru fire and survived. There is no more fear; only power and only joy. That is a picture of a believer baptized with the Holy Spirit and fire. Nothing shall hurt him anymore. The devil has failed in his life.

I heard of a story. There was a man and his little son walking in a park in New York. Suddenly a fire started burning along the path. In few minutes they were trapped by the blaze. The father tried to use branches to quench the fire, but all in vain. The wind was driving the flames closer and closer to them. Then the father knew that the only way of escape is to pass thru the fire. He carried his son on his shoulders, comforted him that all is well, and jumped thru the fire to the other side. Behind the blaze all was calm. For all things were burnt off. The fire can never go back to a place that is burnt. That is the law of the fire, it never goes back to where it has damaged.

There is a spiritual lesson here. Whatever things you have suffered, if God was with you during that trial, you shall never go back to them again. The devil tried to kill you. And really, you should have died. That sickness should have sent you to the mortuary. That stress should have given you incurable depression. That loss should have made you homeless sleeping under the bridge…But, by the grace of God you survived…This is your testimony, that passing thru the fire, you did not end up a corpse. Even the things that got burnt, have a new meaning for you, for God promised to give you beauty for ashes, joy instead of weeping and a victory song nobody can quench. In the furnace of affliction, Shedrack, Meshach and Abednego met with the Forth Man, the Son of God who is the King of kings and also the King of fire.

This is my testimony: fire tried but failed to destroy me; its heat was not enough to disfigure my anointing; its flames could only purify my heart and my vision. I passed thru the fire of rejection, misunderstanding, sickness and slander. And I survived. Not only survived, but I am now qualified to encourage others coming behind.

So this is my word to you: Fear not! Like that father and son, let’s jump together to the safe place behind the fire…Follow me as I follow Christ…Let’s go to the Cross where Jesus died for our sins…Let’s go behind the Cross, where no sorrow, no pain, no rejection and no sickness can ever attack. Come on…that is the way…thru the fire, into the freedom of worship, the power of true anointing aJemine and the firend the victory of the blessed!

PRAISE GOD ABUNDANTLY

The Saturday Prayer meeting was very good. We praised God and we prayed to God. We destroyed every evil covenant that was made on our behalf, knowingly or un-knowingly, during our childhood.  The lingering effects of wicked utterances spoken by parents, siblings, extended family members, neighbors or friends were destroyed. The memory of negative words like: ‘you are a fool… you be yeye… you are a lazy boy (girl)… you are a loser… you will always be last in the class… you will be poor like your father (mother)… go to hell… Idiot… nonsense boy (girl)… you will suffer in this life…you are a witch…God punish you… ” was destroyed by the Blood of Jesus! We separated ourselves from ‘shadow demons’ that follow us behind.

We declared that God hears the prayers of His children… that there is power in the name of Jesus… that Jehovah is above every other power… that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. We praised the Almighty God in English and Nigerian dialects. This evening ministry was not easy. There was a battle in the atmosphere. Some brethren were afraid to praise God with all their hearts because of the trouble they may encounter once they leave the church’ premises. This fear was a background hindrance for more than an hour. But as we continued to press on, to praise God, with songs, hands clapping, dancing and proclamation of the Word of God, the fear left and we felt free. We are blessed to partake and to contribute to the congregational anointing. Coming to church services is never a waste of time. Once the Holy Spirit moves in our midst, anything can happen (I wanted to say: miracles will happen). We went home refreshed. Indeed, Jesus Christ is Lord! Bless His holy name!

Praise the Lord

MY PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY

“Dear friend,
I see that there is still much secret desire and dreaming in your heart, to do something great for God, in your life time…
I pray for you… that the Holy Spirit fills you and gives you the power to change regrets into actions and weakness into passion so that you accomplish your good dreams! May this prayer become praise!
In Jesus’ name
Amen!”

“Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think (infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams). To God be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen (so be it)” (Eph 3:20, 21;AMP)

In Christ I declare:
I am a child of God!
I have received the power to will and to do God’s pleasure!
I shall fulfill the purpose of God for my life!
In Jesus name
Amen!

REJOICE RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE!

The Lord Jesus said to Ananias about the Apostle Paul at the beginning of his ministry: “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim My name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel. I will show him how much he must suffer for My name.” (Ac 9:15, 16).

This word applies to all who desire to follow Jesus and do ministry. The word ‘suffer’ means experiential pain, not just imagination. If you want to serve the Lord in any capacity, if you desire to be an ambassador for Christ, then you need to carry this cross that kills the flesh; not all at once, but little by little, and daily… Ministry is not money and glamour. Ministry is pain that becomes praise, tears that supply the river of life, a broken alabaster box that spreads the fragrance of Christ to the whole house. If you can do that, then the money and the fame may come.

This is my testimony: For every drop of the revelation of God’s name, I had to suffer.  I had to become ‘friends’ with loneliness, sickness, discrimination, misunderstanding and painful betrayal from people who were close to me. Why?  So that I have just one desire: to desperately know my Lord and the power of His resurrection! The appreciation of God’s grace is not free. The knowledge of the power of the name of Jesus is not cheap. It is much more than a prayer ‘In the name of Jesus’.  It is not English! It is Blood! The door of God’s intimate treasures is never found by them who just pass by and covet from afar. There were times when I was sick, really sick. In the midst of the sickness I had no desire to go to see a doctor. Why? So that I learn to press on to know who Jehovah Rapha is, how He operates, delivers and heals…in the quietness of my spirit, there came a knowing…that my sickness is not ‘a sickness’, not a punishment, not a dead end… but a pathway, a road… Sickness helped me. Pain became my teacher… I did not like his face at the beginning… I thought about changing classes… It took me long to learn the patience of obedience and the joy of reward coming from suffering. When this inner pain refused to go away, it forced me to come closer to the throne to receive a fresh testimony, not just of healing, but so much more…My reward was the impartation of the Excellency of knowing my Lord, the King of kings!

The strange sickness and the mysterious healing baptized me into the Body of Christ. As I moved on, from victory to victory I started changing. The old Lia died. The new Lia lives on… I can never be the same. I am now so much hungrier to know the Healer and not just His healing touch of the moment…I was once a student in the Medical School… I am now a disciple to Jehovah Rapha…what a privilege…how can I ever describe in words the class room in the clouds…the surgery done on top of the holy mountain…all my new class mates dwell in the same atmosphere and they too have lost the desire to be ordinary…

The first test expected by Jehovah Rapha is to praise Him in all situations, not because I feel like praising, not because my pain is gone, not because I like music … but just because the praise belongs to God!!! God is jealous for His praise.  He forbids that idols should steal it! You too be jealous to give all the glory to God alone!  This is my counsel:  if you need healing, the fruit of the womb, or a financial breakthrough, then praise God with all your strength! Do not cheat on praise! Do not imitate others! Do not compare yourself with others! Praise God! Think of God, think of His power, love, glory, willingness to touch and heal you The presence of the pain, oppression, frustration, anxiety, infirmity, sickness can be the pulpit from where the praise goes up to the Owner.

Like a little flower in the desert, with no water and no shade, but happily blooming by the power of the Holy Spirit within, I will rejoice and praise my Savior, my Lord and my Healer!  “Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines; though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food; though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls… Yet! I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in God my Savior!” (Habakkuk 3:17, 18). Glory to God!

BE HEALED!

“So he ( Namaan) went down and dipped seven times in the Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God; and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean. And he returned to the man of God, he and all his aides, and came and stood before him and he said, “Indeed, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, except in Israel…” (2Kg 5:14, 15)

Please, read again the story of Namaan, the great Syrian general (2Kg 5). He had money, fame and visible success in life. But he also had leprosy. In those days, leprosy was incurable and shameful. Medically speaking leprosy affects the nerves. It manifests as muscular weakness, loss of sensitivity and tumors on the skin. The patient cannot move fast, cannot feel pain and looks ugly and smelly. Without treatment the sickness slowly progresses to death.

In the Bible, leprosy is a type of sin. A sinner or a backslider is spiritually slow. For example, he falls asleep during the preaching of the sermon or during prayer time. His conscience is not sensitive to sin. He hurts people and he does not feel pain. People admire him from distance but coming closer they sense an ugly ‘odor’ and they draw back. Singles have problems in getting married. These people are lonely most of the time because of the strange spiritual odor coming from them.

The only hope for healing and deliverance is found in Christ alone. Elisha told Namaan to go to River Jordan and to ‘go down’, to go deep in its ‘dirty’ waters seven times. River Jordan is a symbol of the Cross. Christ died in a ‘dirty’ manner that we might live a clean life and be healed! Because of pride, doubt and anger, Naaman almost missed his miracle. God used humble people to rebuke him in love. Once he believed and obeyed the words of the prophet, he was healed!

Dear brother, dear sister, why suffer in silence? Why prolong the pain? Come to Jesus! See the price Love paid for your freedom, for your cleansing, for your healing! Say with your Savior: ‘It is finished!’ Crucified with Christ, you go down together, baptized in His death, you shall rise together with Him in glory! May your testimony be established! May God enlarge your vision of Him! May your heart be filled with gratitude for the gift of salvation! Jesus Christ is the Lord!!!

Grace is able! Grace is willing! Be healed in Jesus’ name!!!

ALWAYS GIVING THANKS TO GOD THE FATHER FOR EVERYTHING

HAPPY WITH CHURCH TONIGHT

“Be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Eph 5:18-20)

Our Women’ Fellowship this evening was very good. The Holy Spirit was moving in our midst! The praise, the prayers and the testimonies, in the unity of the Spirit, gave glory to God alone. It was a thanksgiving ‘dinner’ of the daughters of God. We thanked God for our lives, body, souls and spirit, health, marriages, children, protection, provision and ministries. We thanked God for what He has done, for what He is doing at this very moment and what He will do in the future. We rejected every demon of fear (fear of the future, fear of untimely death for our children, fear of poverty, fear of divorce…). By faith, we declared that no parents will bury their children! We rejected every demon of depression, confusion, bareness and religious pride. We welcomed the Person of God the Holy Spirit in our midst. The fire of the Holy Spirit was hot. It only burnt the chains and the cages of limitations. We came out from the fire free and fair.

We could not sit on the chairs. We prayed seated on the floor. Some knelt and some lied down flat still praying. We humbled ourselves so that grace may be imparted to us according to God’s promise. We prayed in English (with understanding) and we prayed in tongues (in the Spirit, by-passing the human understanding). The anointing was too strong for me, the pastor, to preach my prepared sermon. Once the Holy Spirit moves in our midst, there is nothing more man can say. God makes my work easier these days. Looking at us, we look so small, a group of ‘nobodies’…… But looking at God, and what He is doing among us, my faith increases and my worship overflows. I am excited to see how the prayers of today will become praises tomorrow! Fresh testimonies have been approved by heaven and released on earth. The river of blessings is flowing faster…I can feel it… Glory to God!

Dear Sister, do not just stand and look… Do not be jealous on them who are blessed! Enter in the middle of the flow where the speed is at the highest. If God has done it once for you, He will do it again! The Joy of the Lord is your strength! In Jesus’ name, amen!

MY BELOVED HUSBAND IS THE BEST!

“How is your beloved better than others, most beautiful of women?… What’s so great about your lover, fair lady? What’s so special about him?” (SS 5:9; NIV; TM)

My husband and I, we are married for more than 43 years! We married as unbelievers. God’s grace saved our souls and marriage. Both of us are now in full time ministry. The older I get, the more I appreciate my husband’s character. Without fear and without shame, I can boast about my God and I also can boast about my husband. Below is a partial list of my husband’s qualities, blessings that I have discovered over the years. By the grace of God, my husband is ‘better than others’. He is:
*A true man of God!
*A wonderful husband to me, father and grandfather!
*Loving, generous, compassionate and kind!
*Bold for God. He does not take the easy path because of fear. He confronts difficult situations like a soldier.
*Perseveres until he achieves results. He does not get tired in the middle of the problems!
*Honest, truthful and open; he does not lie, steal or cheat!
*Courageous, doing what is right even in the presence of rejection or danger!
*Willing to sacrifice himself and his money for the work of God and helping others!
*Controls himself; he stays calm under provocation, temptation or stress!
*Just and fair; he does not discriminate!
*Good citizen; he abides by the laws of the country!
*Spirit of excellence; he does no compromise his conscience; he does his best and he is happy with his work!
*Keeps his promises; is dependable and trustworthy; he hates to disappoint others!
*Respects others; he honors their rights, dignity and freedom! Hates to hurt them unnecessarily!
*Responsible; he does not shift blame on others!
*Patient; he knows that good things take time to achieve! He is willing to wait.
*Forgiving; he is able to leave hurtful things behind; does not seek revenge! (He forgets my mistakes)
*Peace Maker; he is able to talk things without being violent!
*Very good teacher. Most of the things about life in Nigeria I have learned from him directly!
*Encourager. He encourages me to fulfill God’s plan for my life, to do ministry.
*Lover. He loves me with words and deeds when we are alone and he declares his love for me in public.
And so on… And so on …
To God be all the glory!

Now you know the secret of our happy and strong marriage!
If you are a married woman, boast about your husband too, giving God all the glory!
May God grant you the blessing of a wonderful marriage!
In Jesus name, amen!
