ENCOURAGE AND COMFORT ONE ANOTHER WITH THESE WORDS

“For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven with a shout of command, with the voice of the archangel and with the [blast of the] trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain [on the earth] will simultaneously be caught up (raptured) together with them [the resurrected ones] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord! Therefore comfort and encourage one another with these words [concerning our reunion with believers who have died]… For God has not destined us to [incur His] wrath [that is, He did not select us to condemn us], but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died [willingly] for us, so that whether we are awake (alive) or asleep (dead) [at Christ’s appearing], we will live together with Him [sharing eternal life]. Therefore, encourage and comfort one another and build up one another, just as you are doing” (1Thess 4:16-18; 5:9-11)

Dear brethren, beloved children of God, it is Malia again. This morning I want to freely share with you from the supernatural strength I am receiving daily, from the Holy Spirit. The truth is that, in the past, when all things were happy for me, I never appreciated this liquid glory strength coming into my veins. I took it for granted that God should bless me, strengthen me, and help me. But since my husband’ translation to glory, I became humbler, more grateful to God for His mercy, for His presence with me. Words are not enough to describe who Jesus is to me now. ‘For me to live is Christ…’ From the bottom of my heart I appreciate His Word, His Spirit and His promises.

In the scripture above we are commanded to encourage and build one another in the faith. We are not to be selfish and greedy with our spiritual blessings. I don’t want ‘to eat’ alone. I want us to share in this holy meal of strength and wisdom provided by the Holy Spirit. Little is much when God is in it! This command to encourage is not a general command but it relates to the hope of glory we share in Christ. We hope together, therefore we must be strong together! The Apostle Paul reminds us that one day, our Lord Jesus Christ will come back again. The doctrine of the Second coming of Christ is fundamental to our faith. If you do not believe it, you are not born again! The first time our Lord came to earth, He came as a Baby. He came as our Savior, to die and save us, the sinners. But one day, the heavens will break loose and He will come again as the King of kings and the Lord of lords, in power and with great glory. He will punish all who rejected Him and rectify all wrongs ever committed. The saints (the born again), the ones who went to heaven before us (like Tali) and the rest of us still alive on earth we shall all gather to Him in a glorious rapture. The lessen here is that thru the physical death we are separated from other believers. But in Christ we are still one and we shall always be one. There is no division in Christ. The unity of the Spirit is eternal because the Holy Spirit is God. This is true encouragement that as children of God, by the grace of God, we shall never be ‘lost in sin’ or ‘lost space’, abandoned, forsaken or ignored by God. Our identity and spiritual position in Christ, started even before the foundation of the world. It is our destiny to live for Christ and to ‘make heaven’. Fear not! Heaven is surer than to have a visa to go abroad! We do not know the time of the second coming and we do not know the day of our departure from earth. But what we know is that we must live our lives to the fullest, serving God faithfully to end, fulfilling destiny by being a blessing to this generation! All to the glory of God! Be strong! Be encouraged! Be filled with the Holy Spirit!

In Christ I declare (and on behalf our children, natural and spiritual):
I am a child of God! My soul is saved eternally! I believe that Jesus Christ is my Savior and my Lord forever! I believe and joyfully expect that our Lord Jesus Christ will come back again! I am safe and secure in Him! I am one with Him! This unity is eternal, and nothing and nobody can destroy it! One day, I will go to heaven and meet with all the dear saints who went there before us! To the glory of the only Living God! Right now, I receive strength, peace, joy, wisdom and supranatural health to continue the Christian race until that day! Christ is glorified in my life! I am a blessing to my generation! I am blessed forever! I am saved forever! I am filled with the same power that raised Jesus from the dead! I reject all fears! I only fear God! I and my children we are for signs and wonders coming from the Lord who dwells in Zion! It is well with me! It is well with us! In Jesus’ name, amen!

STRUCK DOWN BUT NEVER DESTROYED

“But we have this precious treasure [the good news about salvation] in [unworthy] earthen vessels [of human frailty], so that the grandeur and surpassing greatness of the power will be [shown to be] from God [His sufficiency] and not from ourselves. We are pressured in every way [hedged in], but not crushed; perplexed [unsure of finding a way out], but not driven to despair; hunted down and persecuted, but not deserted [to stand alone]; struck down, but never destroyed; always carrying around in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the [resurrection] life of Jesus also may be shown in our body” (2Cor 4:7-10; AMP)

Good morning dear family of God! This is Malia. Yesterday was a great day for me. I mean to be able to talk to you thru online Sunday service. I was so happy! I missed church! This is the first positive good thing I was able to do since Tali’s translation to glory. I did not know that I could video record myself alone at home. This pain and process has really humbled me. Somehow, I did not imagine living as a widow, but I imagined Tali as a widower. God overruled all our plans and decided that Tali will go first. I bow to God’s will. Every day I sense a new strength I never had before. My heart is still in pain, but the new strength comes in to be able to bear it.

Read the scripture above… I am more aware of the difference between body and spirit. We, the children of God, are spirit beings, having a soul and living in a body. Our bodies are made of dust; they are frail. They are the ‘cheapest’ material of all. But our souls and spirits are God’s. What makes us special is what God has done inside our hearts, our spirits. Our value to God and even to men is that inside these weak bodies lives a living treasure, which is the Holy Spirit. Can you imagine that Christ lives in us, the Hope of glory? The body container is weak and humble. But the content is mighty, supernatural, and indestructible. The Holy Spirit inside us, the Christ Himself living in us, that is where the power is. That is the sufficiency of God! Because of this treasure God has promised to be with us always. God deposited the treasure and He protects it. God is faithful! Even when we look weak, a supernatural strength will manifest in us. Even when we become discouraged or confused, a greater power that refuses to die, takes over. No unbeliever has this secret strength. No unbeliever has a testimony that during his trials of life he became better, wiser, stronger or that he drew closer to God. No unbeliever can say that thru it all, he became a champion. These promises are for God’s children alone.

Therefore, I encourage you. If these past days you’ve observed that the grace and strength of God is stronger than your pain and grief, blessed are you! It means that you are saved. It means that you are born again! Your soul is secured! As you carry your cross daily, your flesh, your love for the world dies daily. But then, you sense the resurrection power of Jesus propelling your spirit towards victory, holy success in ministry and eventually the reach the glory ahead. Read the Word of God daily. Fast and Pray! I do not know of any other method to help myself or you. Please pray for Pastor Trish and their sons. My heart goes to them too. God bless you and give you strength. We declare that this is a good week, with signs and wonders following. Be healed! Be strong! May your testimonies increase! As we share in the pain, we shall share in the joy that is coming! By the grace of God, let us press on! God bless you all! Worship the Lord!

FEAR NOT FOR YOU ARE MINE!

But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob,

And He who formed you, O Israel:

“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;

I have called you by your name;

You are Mine.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;

And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.

When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,

Nor shall the flame scorch you.

For I am the Lord your God,

The Holy One of Israel, your Savior” (Is 43:1-3)

Good morning precious brethren, faithful saints in Christ Jesus (especially the brethren in Father’s House Bible Church). This is Malia again! I am here to encourage you with the encouragement I have received myself. I cannot wait until I am fully healed before helping you. The daily dose of strength I receive I share with you. I am a mother at heart. I feel for you! Every day I sense a new level of grace, entering my heart, my mind, my body. This is a new strength that I have never experienced before. As I encourage you, I encourage myself. As we share in the pain, we shall share in the victory. Just hold on! Keep trusting Jesus! It will get better with time…

Some brethren called me that they struggle with fears and anxieties of life. I do too… What can we do? As with all problems, the solution is found only in the Word of God. The Bible is God’s opinion. God never changes. His Word is always the same. We should read our Bibles even more and with greater faith. We should ‘eat’ the Word! It is food and medicine for the spirit! Between the pages of the Bible you will find all you need to live a godly, happy, successful, and fulfilled life.

Read the scripture above in Isaiah 43. God, our Creator, and our Sustainer speaks to us, His children. He promised to always be close by, an ever-present Helper in times of need. God, the Holy Spirit is closer to you than your very breath. Never see God as far away, as difficult to please or erratic in behavior. That is a lie! The Bible reveals God to be a true Father to His children, compassionate, faithful, strong, all wise, and loving beyond what words can say.  As you see here, God Almighty, the God of heavens and the earth, has promised us that troubles will not destroy us. He never said that life will be easy. He never said that challenges will never come, that pain may not attack from time to time. But He has promised to walk with us thru the pain, thru the storm. This is my present testimony: I sense the Presence of the Holy Spirit. He works in me. He is with me. My pain is still great, but I am not alone with my pain. Jesus, who lived as a Man on earth, He knows, and He understands. The Comfort of the Holy Spirit is my greatest medicine now. The Holy God is commanding us to ‘fear not!’. Fear can never be my friend, my master, or my God. Jesus Christ is my Savior and my God. Therefore, I will not be afraid of men may do to me, of the future, of sickness, of untimely death, of poverty, of loneliness or of the future.

In Christ I declare:

Jesus died for me to save my soul. Jesus is my Covenant Redeemer! I am bought with His precious Blood. Jesus wrote my name in His Book of life! He is my good Shepperd and He calls me by my name.  I am His little Lamb following Him! The waters of troubles will not overflow me! I will not drown in my sorrow! The fires of trials will not scorch me! My faith is purified and made stronger even right now! I am eternally saved by the Lord Jesus Christ!  I reject all fears and I open by heart to be filled with the Holy Spirit again! In Jesus’ name, amen!

This morning I choose to trade all my fears for greater faith in God! “When I am afraid, I put my trust in You” (Ps 56:3). I reject fears! In their former space in my heart, I plant faith and peace and joy! May the good harvest give honor to God! Dear children, be fear free! By the power of the Holy Spirit it is possible to live a life free from the torments of fear. Be filled with the Holy Spirit! I love you all! Stay blessed!

I choose life!

Good morning precious children and brethren, especially those in Father’s House. This is Malia. I want to encourage you all with the encouragement I receive from the Holy Spirit. These past few days have been the most painful time in my life. I am getting used to the new reality that my beloved Husband of 47 years, your father in the Lord and Pastor Richmond Sisan Leigh is now in heaven. The pain is still in my heart but like I said yesterday. I refuse to allow the pain of loss to control my mind. I try to see everything thru the eyes of Jesus. He loved my husband and called him home. No servant can resist that call to glory. The truth is that as children of God, heaven is what we pray for and desire to go to one day. I have learned recently, thru my husband ‘s translation, that the call to glory, which is the greatest promotion and reward to any believer, that call can happen any moment. We need to be prepared any moment. We need to serve God in the best way we can so that we have no regrets when the hour comes. Tali lived a good life, godly life, happy life and fulfilled life. He loved the Lord Jesus more than he loved me, or his children, family and friends. This is how it should be! I am very proud of him. Tali still remains my hero, my inspiration! Of course, we could have loved to have him more days on earth, but God called him now. I bow to God’s will and I continue to worship Him.

This morning I am encouraged by the Word of God. I try t remove my attention from looking at myself or the circumstances around me. I go to the Word of God because it is my anchor in the storm of life. The Word of God never changes. Jesus is still the same, yesterday, today and forever. Praise His Holy name! This is God’s Word for me and for you today: “This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob” (Deut 30:19, 20; NIV).

On behalf of myself and our children (natural and spiritual), in Christ I declare:

Having the heavens and the earth as my witnesses, I CHOOSE LIFE! Therefore, ME AND OUR CHILDREN (natural and spiritual) WILL LIVE! I choose to love the Almighty God, the Lord Jesus Christ with all my heart and with all my soul! I choose to listen to His voice and obey it. I do not live by bread alone but by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God! I will hold fast to God all the days of my life! I choose the eternal blessings of Christ! God is our life! God will give us many years in the land He has given to us. God bless you all! To God be all the glory! In Jesus’ name, amen!

YOU RESCUED ME BECAUSE YOU DELIGHTED IN ME

‘He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me. They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the Lord was my support. He brought me out into a spacious place; He rescued me because He delighted in me’ (Ps 18:17-19)

As believers, one great temptation we all have is to think that money is always necessary to solve life’s problems. Each time we hear about something that needs repairs we have conditioned our mind to quickly calculate ‘how much money do I need to fix this problem?’ This thinking is automatic. It is sinful. We are not to think like this. Babies do not connect all problems with money. This mindset is something we have acquired later in life. Our parents or friends have told us that we need money to solve our problems. They told us that wealthy people’s lives are easier than ours because they can afford to buy anything they need or want any time. They told us that being ‘poor’ means death. These words are lies! But by now, we have tasted the poison of money and we are hooked on habitual lies! Thinking money is as addictive as taking cocaine!

What shall we do? We prayed… As we prayed we received peace. This is a reminder that God is always bigger than all our problems. Where money cannot go, the Holy Spirit can! When money cannot ‘talk’, the Holy Spirit can! Jehovah Jireh has supplied all that we need and so much more. I believe in God my Savior! My heart is established in the Lord Jesus Christ!

This letter is to encourage all believers but especially those who right now do not have enough money to pay their bills and fix all their financial problems. I am saying to you: God is alive! God is your Father! God cares and God sees! God is happy when we remember Him in our daily (big or small) challenges of life. God is happy when we focus on Him, when we pray and wait on Him alone, to move and to touch. He who created the universe by His word, has power to heal, supply and deliver! Faith 100%! Doubt 0%!

In Christ I declare:
I am not waiting on men. I am not waiting for my bank to give me money. I am not waiting for my circumstances to change by themselves. No! I am waiting on God alone!!!! I am waiting on the Person of God the Holy Spirit!!!! I am waiting on Jesus, my Lord! I am a product of grace! As I am waiting, I am trusting that our Father in heaven is our help in this very time of need! This is God’s word: ‘God rescued me because He delights in me’! God’s Word never fails! It always produces a testimony of success! It is my promise to give glory to God now and forever!

Dear Brethren, may your hearts be encouraged today by the power of the Holy Ghost! In Jesus’ name, amen!

MY GOD, ENLARGE MY TERRITORY!

“Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain. And God granted his request” (1 Chronicles 4:10)

Jabez prays: “Enlarge my territory!” This is a prayer for an opportunity, for restoration, in his case, of his lost inheritance; for a place to stand in the midst of the culture of his day in which he might gain some sense of status and respect.
For us it means to find a way to break out of whatever may be limiting us, hemming us in and enslaving us. You may feel that you are in a situation in which you have no opportunity to grow, to advance, to be fulfilled, happy and satisfied. If that is the case, this is the proper kind of prayer to pray: “Father God, please give me fresh opportunities to fulfill my destiny! For Your name’ sake, please open new doors of favor for me. Enlarge my territory of godly influence in my marriage, my ministry and my business! ‘I will not let You go unless You bless me’ (Gen 32:26)! In Jesus’ name! Amen!”

THE OFFENCE OF THE CROSS

“And I, brethren, if I still preach circumcision, why do I still suffer persecution? Then the offense of the cross has ceased” (Gal 5:11)
Why does the world hate the Cross? It is because the world is proud. The world wants to save itself. It rejects Jesus as the only Savior. The Cross has a simple solution: give your life to Christ who died for you! Then you shall live! But the proud intelligent man hates that solution. The Cross is foolishness to the unbeliever. But to us, it is the wisdom and power of God!
This is a strange story. In 1934 the Veterans in the US erected a seven feet iron cross in the Mojave Desert (near Las Vegas), as a monument to the fallen soldiers in the World War I. The Cross stood in that desert, for 70 years. In 2001, a man called Frank Buono, representing ACLU (The American Civil Liberties Union) took the American Government to court. He said that by allowing the Cross to stand on public land, the Government approves of Christianity. This means the Government is breaking the law of separation between church and state. For some years, because the case was in court, they boarded the Cross with plywood. Nobody could see the cross. Eventually, the supreme court said they should leave the Cross there. But after that, one night, the Cross was stolen. They did not see it for about two years. At last, they found the Church abandoned somewhere, many miles away, and they brought it back. They finally installed it back, on the same rock. This story is a proof that the world hates Jesus. Many people hate Christ, and His Cross. But the battle will always be won by Christ and Him Crucified! To God be all the glory! Say with me: Jesus is The Lord!
(The pictures are taken from Google. You see the Cross in Mojave Desert as it stands today and in the past when it was boarded with plywood)

ASK, SEEK, KNOCK

“Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking receives, and he who keeps on seeking finds, and to him who keeps on knocking, it will be opened” (Mt 7:7, 8; AMP)
Child of God, please give attention to these words. Read, meditate, and obey them! You will be surprised at the treasure that is stored within. These words are the commands of the Captain of our salvation, our Lord Jesus Christ. These three verbs are different levels of prayer. They have two things in common: 1-God will surely answer the prayers made to Him and 2-You must repeat these prayers until the answer comes. For example: it is ‘ask and keep on asking’… seek and keep on seeking’… knock and keep on knocking’…
*ASK – The simplest prayer is to ‘ask’ God. This prayer can be made anytime, anywhere. Make a request to God in the name of Jesus! Have faith that your Father in heaven hears you and shall answer you! Pray not only for material visible things. Pray for wisdom, for favor with God and man, for health, for courage to live the Christian life. If you ask amiss, God will re-direct your prayer. But fear not! Continue to pray! Be humble and bold enough to ask God!
*SEEK – The second level of prayer is to ‘seek’ the answer, to seek your miracle. The word ‘seek’ directs our attention to a journey. It involves time, energy, and resources. You pray in spot A and the answer to your request is in spot B. God will not carry your answer to spot A. A lazy man cannot seek anything good. Pray for strength and focus to find your miracle and not to abandon your seeking. Seeking is not a simple act, it is a process, a series of acts. Jesus says that there are areas of life that require more than asking; there must be seeking, searching. Something is lost, hidden from us, and prayer then becomes a search, a plea for insight, for understanding, for an unraveling of the mystery with which we are confronted. God will be with you during the seeking. This prayer will help you know God better. For example, Hannah did more than ask God for a son. She went on seeking for her miracle, for her son. This is how Samuel was conceived and born, to the glory of God! The devil will try to discourage you, to make you backslide from the way of seeking your healing, your fruitfulness. Do not make the devil happy! Seek and continue seeking God and the answer to your prayer. God promised that you shall not seek Me in vain! (Is 45:19).
*KNOCK- The third level of prayer is ‘knock’. This prayer describes a hindrance. There is a door in your front. You must knock and keep on knocking. Nobody knocks just once and goes to sleep. Knock until the Person from behind the door (God) opens the door for you. This is called a breakthrough. To experience it you need to do spiritual warfare. You need strength to continue to bang at that door that separates you from your dream come true. Have faith! The knocking is not forever! It is just a season! Once the door opens, you cross over into another realm. For example: a poor man passing thru this door becomes rich. Wealth is another realm! For a barren couple to have a baby, that is another realm! For a single man or woman to get married, that is another realm! A proud man complains! A humble man prays! May the Holy Spirit help you and build you up as you pray to God! The miracle is sure! I share in your joy! Glory of God! In Jesus’ name! Amen!

ALL COLORS LOVE NEVER FAILS!

Our daughter, Jemine Leigh Oakes informed me that today is “Loving Day. I did not know that. I discovered that it is an annual celebration held on June 12, the anniversary of the 1967 United States Supreme Court decision Loving v. Virginia which struck down all anti-miscegenation laws remaining in sixteen U.S. states. In the United States, anti-miscegenation laws were U.S. state laws banning interracial marriage, mainly forbidding marriage between non-whites and whites, until the Warren Court ruled unanimously in 1967 that these state laws were unconstitutional. Chief Justice Earl Warren wrote in the court majority opinion that “the freedom to marry, or not marry, a person of another race resides with the individual, and cannot be infringed by the State.” Loving Day is not an officially recognized holiday by the U.S. government, despite attempts to make it so. Loving Day is the biggest multiracial celebration in the United States.

Our daughter, Jemine Leigh Oakes, remembered how her dad and I had to fight to marry. That was in Romania 46 years ago. It is such a long time that I almost forgot about that story. At that time I was not a Christian. But clearly, God’s hand was upon me and my Husband, Pastor Richmond Leigh. What is the lessons? True love never fails! God can never lose! Praise the Lord somebody! Bellow see what Jemine wrote on her Facebook account today:

“Did you know my parents were not allowed to marry? At the time, my dad was studying medicine in Romania (which was communist at the time). The government wouldn’t acknowledge their marriage. They went and camped with friends that stood by them at the steps of the judiciary building doing a hunger strike for days in protest. They fought for their love. And they won!

When I reflect on my own parents’ story, and people like the Lovings that decided to fight for change, I’m encouraged. My parents raised us to love all humankind. So here we are at a pivotal moment in 2020… what will you tell your grandkids about your role in history? I read Proverbs 31:8 again this morning… it says “speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak out for justice.”

I am a child of promise. A product of love that claimed the victory. I celebrate #lovingday today with great pride. My parents have been married for 46 years!!! Honoring them and the Lovings today!”

LOCKDOWN ONLINE SMILE

God has used this lockdown to teach me the value of a simpler life. It has forced me to become more humble (with the facemask on, why do I need to put on lipstick?). For a proud woman like me, to become humble in just few months, it is a miracle! Also, knowing that I am not alone in this ‘prison’ of circumstances, has helped me a lot. Other people suffer. So, for me, to complain about my so called ‘difficult life’, it will be a sin! I live in Nigeria. I look around and I see wonderful ways people cope with hardship! I admire the people who have found a way, not only to survive, but to become successful even in limitations! Once I tasted the beauty and the freedom of a simpler life, I became happy, with God and with myself. Something good came out of something bad. Thank God for everything! Let’s smile ‘online’!

SPIRITUAL HARMONY IN NIGERIA

This picture was taken in 2012. We were building the sanctuary (Father’s House Bible Church, Effurun, Warri, Nigeria). That day, my husband and I just came back from a short vacation. The brethren were so happy to see us back to town. Let me tell you another secret: One thing why I love Nigeria is the way people greet one another, especially after a ‘long time no see’. Nowhere in this world there is so much noisy singing joy when friends or family members meet, as I see it displayed here in Nigeria.

Because of centuries of racism, I see so much pain in the faces of the African Americans in the US. Only God can help them overcome the deep fears, mistrust and hatred. Our children and grandchildren live in the US. I pray for the people over there. But this is the truth: Blacks, whites, yellows and browns, they all need Jesus in their hearts, first of all. “Dear Lord, Jesus Christ, You are the Hope of all Nations; have mercy on them and on all of us!”

Many people look down on Nigeria. But God made this country my home. Nigeria is not perfect but I love it! From my heart to yours, from Effurun/ Warri, Nigeria, to the world at large, I send greetings of peace and joy, in Christ Jesus!

This is God’s word: “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is when brothers live in harmony! It is like fine oil on the head, running down on the beard, running down Aaron’s beard over the collar of his robes…” (Ps 133:1)

HEALING TESTIMONY (3)

I received another testimony of healing, from a daughter in Christ. She is a married woman, mother of two children and faithful as a worker in the church. This testimony is given to the glory of God, to the shame of the devil and for the encouragement of the brethren. Read and be blessed! (Please encourage her too. She will read your comments). Thank you and God bless you!
“Dear Malia, I had this pain in my armpit for about a month now. It’s been so disturbing that I just kept touching it and trying not to be scared even though the discomfort and slight pain won’t let me be. So, on Wednesday, my husband got back from work and as he was having dinner, I was telling myself I had to tell him about this pain. Just then my phone light came on, I looked behold it was your testimony of chest pain and the supernatural healing you got. Immediately it occurred to me I had not spoken to the Lord about this particular pain. I decided not to discuss it with my husband but take it to God in prayer. Hmm!!!! This God enhhh… I said a simple prayer that night. The next morning my entire prayer time was devoted on this pain….. At the end of the day I realized there was no longer discomfort nor pain… I waited for the next day which is Friday still no pain. We had a communion service in the house, and I shared the testimony with my family. Up until now no pain, no discomfort… No be small totori this God dey do Him children….. Truly I can’t thank God enough for this supernatural healing. I am glad I belong to Jesus and I eat this healing bread He has so freely given to His children. This kind God o, I never see Your type ooo…. This kind God o… Blessed be Your Holy Name….. Hallelujah!!”

EVEN THE SPARROW HAS FOUND A HOME

“My soul longs, even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself where she places her young by Your altars, O LORD of Hosts, my King and my God. How blessed are those who dwell in Your house; they are ever praising You. Selah! (Ps 84:2-4)
After two months of lockdown, we shall have church service tomorrow in the sanctuary. The brethren in charge of cleaning the house of God came this morning with buckets and detergent, and made everything spotless. God bless them! My husband and I live in the church’ premises but we miss the brethren coming together to serve and worship God. During this lockdown a pair of sparrows made their nest to raise their babies in the street light in the church’ parking lot. The cover was broken and they just took advantage of a quiet and safe spot to become our ‘free tenants’. You see, even the little birds appreciate the presence of the Holy Spirit! Until their babies fly away, we shall leave the nest there. Kindness is more important than esthetics. I believe that the God that helps these little birds, will help you too and provide for your needs! Dear Brethren, Praise the Lord!

YOUR EARS MUST BE CLEAN!

“YOU SHALL NOT LISTEN to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for the LORD your God is testing you to know whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul” (Deut 13:3)

Here we see a peculiar sin that starts with the ears and ends in the heart. God commanded His people NOT TO LISTEN to false prophets. In Hebrew, the word ‘listen’ means to hear intelligently, to give attention and try to understand the words you hear so that you can obey them. This is the sin of a student listening to his teacher. This sin means to listen humbly and respectfully the words of the false teacher. The sin is to ‘borrow’ your God given ears for the devil to use. God is the ‘landlord’ of your ears, but you invite the devil to be the free tenant. As the sexual lust of the eyes is equal with adultery, so the lust of the itchy ears is sin! Lies pollute the ears and poison your spirit! This spiritual contamination destroys your wisdom, peace, joy, and faith! Listening to lies is very addictive. It is like taking cocaine or drinking alcohol! It gets worst with time! Have you thought of that? There are many prophetic ‘what-sup and Facebook’ messages… Must you listen to them all? Must you have an opinion about them all? Be careful! Be jealous over your ears! Are your ears clean? Are your ears circumcised and cleansed by the Holy Spirit? If not, your ears will only bring trouble to you and to your ministry (2Tim 4:1-5)!!! Selah!

Our Lord Jesus Christ warned His disciples to be careful with their ears! He said: “Pay attention, therefore, to how you listen. Whoever has will be given more, but whoever does not have, even what he thinks he has will be taken away from him.” (Lk 8:18). He said that if your ears are ‘dirty with the sin of error’ more error shall be added to you until you backslide! But if, by the power of the Holy Spirit, your ears are cleansed from lies and deception, you shall become cleaner and stronger still. Good ears are necessary so that faith can be built in the heart! “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Rom 10:17). If you still struggle with doubt and anxiety, if your faith is still small compared with the challenges you face, it may be that you need to cleanse your ears with the earbuds of the Spirit! “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches” (Rev 2:29)!

Let us pray: Dear Heavenly Father. we confess the sin of being carless with our ears. We did not use them to listen to Your voice. We borrowed our ears to the devil’s agents to listen to lies and deception. We have sinned! We ask for mercy from You. We are sorry, Father God! Cleanse our ears and our hearts with Your Spirit. We plead the Blood of Jesus over our bodies, souls, and spirits! Please help us to love only Your Word and to listen only to Your voice! Holy Spirit, please fills us afresh! In Jesus’ name we pray, amen!

HEALING TESTIMONY

This is the second healing testimony I received today. He is a young brother, about 21 years old. He lives with his mum. He goes to school and he works part time. He is a very talented and creative young man in the area of media. He is a true worshipper. He is always encouraging me with scriptures and songs. He sent me this note. This testimony is given to the glory of God, to the shame of the devil and for the encouragement of others. Jesus is Lord!
“Dear Malia, I have a testimony. Recently, I was in a dark mode (I was very sick). On Sunday afternoon, there was a very simple headache and I didn’t give heed to it. But after some time, the headache increase but this time dizziness kick in. I had to go to the near by pharmacy with my mom because I can’t see properly. When we got there, the guy question me and did some check up. The result was TYPHOID FEVER (I wasn’t scared, I’m praying this out). But he added: “guy, blood nor dey your body oh”. Immediately I heard this word, my heart dropped. I took the medicine. I forwarded a message to Pastor … (our light house leader) about my condition. I did prayed. I waited for the healing to come. Monday and Tuesday night I slept with difficult breathing. I was still waiting for my miracle… Today I woke up well! Thank You Jesus! Right now, by the grace of God, I’m strong, in fact, more than healthy (if there is any word for it) . I’m super excited MA. All glory, Honor, Adoration be unto God! Glory! Glory!”

TESTIMONY OF HEALING

This testimony is given to the glory of the only Living God, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is given to the shame and defeat of the devil and for the encouragement of others. Last night, a brother in Christ sent me this inbox message. He is happily married with children. I am a witness that both him and his wife are faithful with God’s work in the church. three days ago he became very sick. they prayed! God touched him and healed him instantly! All the brother wants is that together, we should all praise God for what He has done! Halleluiah! Read and be blessed!

“Good Evening Ma Lia. I know that this is rather late in the night, and I am very sorry for the inconvenience to you but I just can hold this in my spirit and I have vowed to always testify about God’s goodness in my life hence forth.. I have been feeling very sick since Monday evening experiencing body pains, nagging headaches, weakness, chills and high fever that I had to commence self medication for malaria yesterday morning. In line with Covid19 protocols in my work place I had to report this to my company’s doctor who advised that I stay at home until my malaria treatment is over and then report to him about my condition. The truth is I became very worried about the possibility that this could be Covid19 and my family could be at risk so I had been taking care to maintain some distance from my children and to an extent my wife, even though it has been difficult. Since the fever started on Monday night we have been praying together lifting me up for healing. This night, some few minutes ago, while we were praying, I was moved in my spirit and began praying in tongues… Suddenly I felt strength coming into my body, and peace in my mind…A kind of release came upon me and I started laughing… I knew instantly that I have been healed by God!!! I immediately told my wife and children and we all started worshipping and praising God. I used to get exhausted just by talking, my walk that had been slow but now I have vigor … Right now I am singing, clapping and dancing freely with strength and power, no headache and no body pains and no weakness!!! Glory to God Almighty who has healed me and to Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior who paid the price for this healing. I thank God for His unfailing love and grace upon my life and for this miracle of healing which has strengthened my faith and trust in God and my desire to know Him and to pray to Him about challenges and difficulties I may encounter. God bless you and Ta Leigh for spiritual teaching and nurture you provide us about the Lord Jesus. Good night Ma!”

God’s Word: “Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; Save me, and I shall be saved, For You are my praise!” (Jer 17:14)

GOD SAW THAT IT WAS GOOD

I live in Effurun/ Warri, Nigeria. I love our garden. The plants we planted are humble plants. They are ‘low maintenance’. They are very happy with just sun shine and water. I took this pictures two days ago, after the rain. The plants revived and look so happy! Their simplicity and beauty teaches me that my life too, should not be complicated and cluttered with many things. My mind should be clean and transparent. I should be humble and grateful for my life. Then I will be happy! And, like our plants, I should always remember to praise God always!
God’s Word: “The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good” (Gen 1:12)

PRAY, BELIEVE AND RECEIVE!

“Whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them!” (Mk 11:24)
This is my testimony: I remember once, I had a serious chest pain. Because I am Christian. you may take it for granted that I pray always. But at that instance, I was deceived! I thought that I prayed, but I did not!!! I was only complaining about the pain. Like Elijah, I was using complaining as a form of ‘prayer’. That was wrong! Complain is not prayer!!!! Talking to God in the name of Jesus, that is prayer!!! I forgot that in all situations, God is my first ‘option’. In fact, my only ‘option’!!! The pain continued and I was surprised that God is not hearing me. I was saying ‘Why, God, why?” Once I saw the deception, rejected the devil and I truly prayed, the pain stopped and ‘there was a great calm’. What a difference!

What is the lesson? Ignoring to pray is a very common mistake. When pastors, friends and doctors fail, after suffering for a long time, finally, we remember God. He is patiently waiting for us to pray. Once you pray trusting the Lord Jesus Christ, with faith 100% and Doubt 0%, God answers the prayer immediately! God does not waste our time! It is only we that waste our own time! It is a pity that even after this, I repeated the same mistake. Sometimes I assumed that I prayed…But I did not! The devil deceived me not to pray anymore saying to me: ‘you have prayed already, why disturb the Master?’ It was very much like the way Jairus’ family members discouraged him to trust Jesus for a miracle. “While Jesus was speaking, someone came from Jairus’ home and said, “Your daughter has died! Why bother the teacher anymore?” (Lk 8:49). Jesus told Jairus, ‘fear not, just believe!’ To my shame, if it is not for the grace of God, I could have accepted the death of my dreams as they were lying in bed, helpless and fainting for lack of prayers… Thank God that He has overruled my mistakes so many times, I cannot count them…. In all things, we give thanks… But one good thing coming from our past pains and mistakes is that today, we can exchange testimonies of the grace and the goodness of God! I am waiting for you to share with me prayer testimonies. Let’s worship the Lord Jesus together!

WISDOM FOR LIFE

“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding” (PV 4:7)
Somebody gave me this advice long time ago. It has been useful to me all these years. It will be wisdom of life to you too! Never forget! This is the order of importance starting with the greatest:

1-Your relationship with God! (Know God!)
2-Your relationship with yourself! (Know yourself)
3-Your relationship with your spouse! (Know your husband/wife)
4-Your relationship with your children! (Know your children)
5-Your relationship with church people and your co-workers
6- Your relationship with others!

This list must be in this order! Once you switch the order, you will fall into trouble! For example, if you love your children more than you love your wife, you will fall into trouble! But the most important thing to remember is this: God first! God first! God first!

HOPE IS IN THE AIR

Jesus said: “In the evening you say that tomorrow, the weather will be fine because the sky is red” (Mt 16:2)
This evening, I took some pictures from our parking lot. Are these not beautiful? This is Effrun, Nigeria. Time 6:30pm. You see our church’ food-court and a portion of our fence. But what attracted me was the sky above us. To me, it is like the student angels were trying their new water colors. The day was downcast. But suddenly, there was an opening in the sky that lifted my spirit. No matter what you people say, I love Nigeria. I love it for one reason alone: it is because the Holy Spirit loves it! Let me saying again: “God loves Nigeria!”. Don’t worry… I am not a politician. I am just a worshipper of the Only Living God! So, according to the sign of the sky, soon… we shall gather again to serve God in the sanctuary… Hope is in the air… Halleluiah!
