It is in times of soul abasement, that the . . .

love,

tenderness, and

grace of the Holy Spirit are better known.

As a Comforter, as a Revealer of Jesus, we are,

perhaps, more fully led into an acquaintance with

the work of the Spirit in seasons of soul abasement

than at any other time. The mode and time of His

divine manifestation are thus beautifully predicted:

“He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass:

as showers that water the earth.”  Psalm 72:6

Observe . . .

the gentleness,

the silence, and

the sovereignty of His operation: “He shall come

down like rain.” How characteristic of the blessed

Spirit’s grace!

Then mark the occasion on which He descends.

It is at the time of the soul’s deep prostration . . .

the waving grass is mowed,

the lovely flower is laid low,

the fruitful stem is broken,

that which was beautiful, fragrant, and precious is cut down . . .

the fairest first to fade,

the loveliest first to die,

the fondest first to depart.

Then, when . . .

the blessing is gone,

and the spirit is bowed,

when the heart is broken,

the mind is dejected, and

the world seems clad in wintry desolation and gloom,

the Holy Spirit, in all the . . .

softening,

reviving,

comforting, and

refreshing influence of His grace, descends,

speaks of the beauty of Jesus, leads to the

grace of Jesus, lifts the bowed soul, and

reposes it on the bosom of Jesus!

Precious and priceless, then, beloved, are the

seasons of a believer’s humiliation. They tell . . .

of the soul’s emptiness,

of Christ’s fullness;

of the creature’s insufficiency,

of Christ’s all sufficiency;

of the world’s poverty,

of Christ’s affluence.

They create . . .

a necessity which Jesus supplies,

a void which Jesus fills,

a sorrow which Jesus soothes,

a desire which Jesus satisfies.

They endear the cross of the incarnate God,

they reveal the hidden glory of Christ’s humiliation,

they sweeten prayer,

they lift the soul to God.

Are you as a bruised flower?

Are you as a  broken stem?

Does some heavy trial now bow you in the dust?

Oh never, perhaps, were you so truly beautiful;

never did your grace send forth such fragrance,

or your prayers ascend with so sweet an odor;

never did faith, and hope, and love develop their

hidden glories so richly, so fully as now!

In the eyes of a wounded, a bruised, and a

humbled Christ, you were never more lovely, and

never more precious to His heart than now . . .

pierced by His hand,

smitten by His rod,

humbled by His chastisement,

laid low at His feet,

condemning yourself,

justifying Him,

taking to yourself all the shame, and

ascribing to Him all the glory!

PRAISE REPORT

Recently I was very sick. I had to re-learn these basic lessons of faith. I was in that place of fear, confusion loneliness…. I know how easy it is to doubt, to accept defeat. To die is very easy. To live is hard. I almost forgot this truth… One night, during prayer, I chose to fight back inch by inch. Like a desperate woman, I prayed for my healing, for a testimony to share with others, for a new reason to glorify God in my life! The devil did not give up easily and for a long time he looked like a winner. But I pressed on, declaring the Word of God over my life and praying in the Spirit. The battle was stronger than I anticipated. It lasted longer that I imagined. But slowly, I started gaining ground. I reclaimed the lost blessings. The day came when I said: “I am healed!”

“And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit” (Eph 5:18)

“Nu vă îmbătaţi de vin, aceasta este destrăbălare. Dimpotrivă, fiţi plini de Duh” (Efe 5:18)

The prayer meeting was good. What we covet the most is the presence of the Holy Spirit, moving un-hindered in our midst. Nothing else compares with Him. The anointing tonight was enough to heal even an elephant. Like the woman with the issue of blood, we pressed thru the crowd. We closed the gap between us and Jesus. The distance between us and the world, with its burdensome passions and past sins, was getting bigger. Spiritual progress was made tonight. The cloud moves so we must move. We prayed against the evil spirit of spiritual laziness, stubbornness, religion and doubt. Go away! In Jesus name, amen!

This is how I feel… I am tired of praying, tired of staying focused, but I must continue to pray. The road of pain may be long but I trust God that suddenly, things will change, even for me! My name is in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Therefore I shall be healed!

I want to sleep, but I must go on… I can’t rest until the Holy Spirit gives me rest. I can’t settle by myself. God has to settle me. Lord Jesus, make me a sign and a wonder! Use me for Your glory! My prayer must be sustained until something happens! I must pray a ‘touching’ prayer, until I touch the heart of Jesus! Break my stony heart, Lord! This hardness of sin, break it, Lord!

Lord, please help me! I need you! Holy Spirit, help me to enjoy today, this very moment! Prayer is sweet. Help me to enjoy prayer… I loose and let go of all my grudges! I trust You Father to help me fulfill my destiny!

I cannot come to You Jesus! Come down to me! That is why You died on Calvary! Forgiveness is so expensive! The price is the Blood. There is no atonement except for Your Blood that was shed on the Cross! Fill me, mold me, design me, heal me, change me…all for Your pleasure and glory!

“Kiss the Son lest He be angry…” (Ps 2:12).  I kiss the Son of God…and I am now safe! Only the true worshippers are safe! Welcome Holy Spirit! I now have peace! Jesus, truly, truly, You are beautiful!

I just received this letter from a sister in the church. Read and be blessed!

“Good morning Malia, I want to testify to what God has done for me, for about 2wks now I don’t sleep well at night due to ulcer pain that wakes me from sleep, I try to eat well before going to bed each night and pray but the pain still wakes me up, during the day I try to manage the condition (ulcer) because in Aug. I was hospitalized and was to go for endoscopy in Benin but I refused hence I have been ‘faithing’ it.

When I came for the women’s meeting yesterday I was already having pain so I sent my daughter to buy me a little cake to eat, during the praise and worship I really could not sing or dance well I was just managing myself, so when my daughter came with the cake it was already testimony time, so I ate a bit of the cake but was highly in discomfort to the extent that I had to undo my belt and loosen my skirt just to relieve the pain, but as soon as you said God has finally allowed us to proceed into the season of healing I felt a little coolness in the upper region of my tummy by the end of the service the pain had gone completely so I was like, let me wait and see what will happen at night, and to God be all the glory I slept without any pain waking me up and even right now that I am yet to eat no pain at all PRAISE THE LORD, Lord i am so grateful. God bless you mom.

I am healed and made whole by Jesus and Jesus alone, on my way to church yesterday I had ask someone to buy 2 bottles of emtrisil for me, they are still here untouched. Lord I am so happy…”

This is my answer to her:

Praise the Lord! The devil deceived you to believe that you have ulcer. You believed a lie and that is why you got sick. Lies make people sick but there is no medicine to cure the ailment for it is a spiritual attack!  I am happy for you! Remember that you are a woman of God. You need your body to be strong so that you can serve God!  Your testimony is not yet complete. God has healed you to bless you! He will open a door for you for a financial breakthrough. That is what the devil wanted to hinder from you. Keep in touch! To God be all the glory!

HAPPY WITH CHURCH TONIGHT

“And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment. For she said to herself, “If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made whole” (Mt 9:20, 21)

We just ended our women fellowship in the church. We shared wonderful testimonies and we praised God in song and dance. Then the Word of God came. “God wants to bless you at another higher level of blessings! God wants you to enter into a season of healing and prosperity!”

This is the story of a dying woman who was healed by her faith in Jesus. At this time in her life she has no money, no hope, no strength and no life. Because of her condition, it is possible that she has no husband and no friends. Then she hears about Jesus! This is the moment faith was born in her heart! “Faith comes by hearing the Word of God’ (Rom 10:17). She was told that Jesus is the Christ; that He has healed many from incurable diseases just like her. She was told that Jesus is not like the other doctors who made her suffer; that He does not even ‘charge money’ for treatment. “What does Jesus expects from me?”- She asked others… She was told that the only thing Jesus expects from her is faith in His Person! She has to believe that He is the Son of God; that He is Jehovah, that He is the Word of God made flesh and that He can do all things. These words planted faith in her heart. Immediately she made up her mind to use the last drop of strength to seek Jesus, wherever she may find Him.

‘She said to herself: “If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made whole”. This is the beginning of the miracle of healing. This woman spoke to herself! She started conversing with the Word of God within her soul. This type of meditation is the foundation of healing faith. It is a proof that you are born again. The unbelievers ignore their dead soul and have no interest to disturb it. Please think about this! Talk to your soul! Encourage yourself in the Lord! This interior spiritual conversation is like the wind blowing over the valley of dead dry bones. It will help you ‘kick’ the dead battery of your miracle! Selah! King David did the same thing: “Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God” (Ps 43:5)

The more she held on the Word of God, the more she encouraged herself, the stronger her faith grew inside. She now believed that just a touch will be enough to make her whole. If the tips of her fingers can touch the edge of the garment of Jesus, that will be enough to heal her instantly and completely. She trusted God, not just for an improvement, not for just getting ‘better’ but for a total and final healing and deliverance. With just a touch, the sickness will be gone completely! Faith 100%! Doubt 0%!

To be made ‘whole’ it is more than an improvement in your circumstances. It means to become the way God created you to be and nothing less than that.  In Greek, the word translated ‘made whole’ is the same as the one used for ‘salvation’. To be made whole it is a total salvation, renewing and healing of your body soul and spirit. Only God can do that! This is a great revelation! This woman aimed for the best! She inspires me. When we are sick or in trouble, we tend to compromise and accept ‘anything that will make us feel better’. The devil takes advantage of this weakness and supplies temporary solutions that we may regret later. This partial healing will prevent your becoming whole. Think about it! Do not be impatient when praying for a miracle! Aim for the best God has for you! Let this be your desire and prayer: “Lord Jesus, I trust You alone to make me whole…” Aim for the best!

HAPPY WITH CHURCH TONIGHT

We just ended a wonderful fellowship with the women in our church. The following are some of the testimonies shared during the meeting. Read and be blessed in Jesus name! Have faith in God! If God has done it for them, He will do it for you!

Sister E came with her six months old baby girl, her first child. She almost died during the delivery. She had to do an emergency CS because her Blood pressure rose suddenly. She was unconscious for three weeks. Many lost hope that she will be alive and well. Miraculously she woke up from coma. After discharge from the hospital, she discovered that many people helped them with money for the hospital bill. The bill was about a million naira. She said that she almost had another crisis of Blood pressure. But she and her husband had faith and prayed. She them phoned all the people who borrowed them money to be patient that they will pay later. This is a young couple that is just struggling financially even before the crisis came. Miraculously, one by one the people said that there is no need for them to pay; that they should take the money as a gift. They are now healthy and free of debt to take care of their baby and to serve God.

Sister I had an accident. She was driving when a girl of about 14 jumped in front of her car. It was a bad collision. The girl fell flat on the street, not moving. Time stopped for them. Then suddenly the girl stood us and dusted her uniform. She came to her window and said ‘I am well ma’. She then crossed the street like nothing has happened.

Sister T said that she is new in Father’s House. She said that her marriage was very bad. Her husband stopped going to any church for some time. When he said that they will come to Father’s House she was happy so that they can go together. The first time they attended our church she said that what she observed is that the women here are very peaceful and submissive. She said that in her former church the women are aggressive and each fights for her position. But in Father’s House there is peace like a blanket over all. She also said that she is surprised that her husband chose to come regularly to church and is even in the committee attending to the generator and the electric power. Her husband is a rich politician and used to be ‘big man’. But he chose to join the ‘electrical team’. She was pleasantly surprised. Their marriage is so much better. She attributes all these changes to the power of the Holy Spirit.

Sister F said that her son in the university had an unexplained headache. The doctors said that his case is complicated. She prayed with him and sent him back to school. All the medical tests proved to be negative and the headache has disappeared.

Sister N is in her forties and she is genotype SS. Medically speaking, it is a miracle that she is still alive. She needed a tooth extraction. The doctors were afraid to do the surgery because of her condition. She told them to go ahead that God is in control. The surgery went on without any problem. She said that she will serve God all the days of her life!

Sister O came at the last women meeting with a terrible headache and fever. She almost stayed home with an excuse of sickness but she eventually came. During the testimonies she could not concentrate well. A voice was telling her to go and see the pharmacist for malaria drugs. But during the prayer session a prophetic word was spoken ‘God wants to deliver you from the spirit of poverty! Money shall meet money in your hands!’ She said that suddenly that word ‘pushed’ her to pray like never before. She forgot about the headache. At the end of that prayer for financial breakthrough, she was healed from her fever.

Dear Child of God, these testimonies are given to the glory of God, to the shame of the devil and for your encouragement! To God be all the glory! In Jesus name, amen!

Are you a child of God and also jobless? This is my advice: obey the Word of God! God wants to bless the work of your hands! You have no job but you have two hands and ten fingers. All those are millions! Your imagination is too wild! You have a tendency to ignore the present…and dwell too much on the past or on the future… Pray about this…God’s name is I AM and not ‘I was’ or ‘I will be’.

In the scripture below you see a connection between working (with God) and timing! God works today, right now, so we must do the same! Stop dreaming about work and work! Stand up right now and use your hands! Do something with your hands today! God wants to bless that action of obedience! Money will come! Have faith!

“Working together with Him, we strongly urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain [by turning away from sound doctrine and His merciful kindness]. For He says: “At the acceptable time (the time of grace) I listened to you, and I helped you on the day of salvation.” Behold, NOW is “the acceptable time,” behold, NOW is “the day of salvation” (2Cor 6:1, 2; AMP)

“So the Lord God said to the serpent: “Because you have done this, you are cursed more than all cattle, and more than every beast of the field; on your belly you shall go and you shall eat dust all the days of your life. And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head and you shall bruise His heel.” (Gen 3:14, 15)

Since we moved to our’ Promised Land’ we really enjoyed the peace and blessings of God. But trouble came unexpectedly. Yesterday we found a snake in our garden. My husband saw it moving on the mosquito net at the window. We both jumped!!! We called the brethren living in the building. They came armed with sticks and killed it. It was a green garden snake looking very much like the plants. Possibly, it was a harmless snake but it had no chance against an army of worshippers. In Nigeria a snake is a snake. A snake represents evil and people here hate them. I too dislike them. They killed it and buried it. That is the end of the story. But I wanted to share some thoughts…

Fear of snakes is one of the most common phobias, yet many people have never seen a snake in person. So how is this fear generated? New research suggests humans are born with an innate tendency to sense snakes and to learn to fear them. Psychologists found that both adults and children could detect images of snakes among a variety of non-threatening objects more quickly than they could pinpoint frogs, flowers or caterpillars. The researchers think this ability helped humans survive in the wild. Also, according to scientific research, women are acutely terrified by snakes and spiders. Indeed, it has been found that women are four times more likely than men to suffer from these phobias. But there is no gender difference for phobias related to modern-day life (e.g., injections, flying). The Bible says that women’s dislike of snakes has a spiritual cause and is a reflection of the state of hostility that exists between Satan and the human race.

The devil came into the beautiful Garden of Eden in the form of a snake. He tempted Eve to sin against God. She was deceived and fell. Adam chose to share in her sin and rebelled against God’s command. That is how both of them fell into sin. Since then, humanity has never been the same again. This is the truth: We are all born sinners. According to God’s holy law, sinners have to die. Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, came to earth to die for sinners and to set them free. The devil (like a snake) bruised the heel of Jesus on the Cross. But Jesus bruised his head. That is why the devil can never be ‘normal’ again. We are to fight and defeat him in the name of Jesus! This is a warning to all the snakes, natural or spiritual! No snake shall ‘rest or play’ in my garden! At the name of Jesus every knee and all creation must bow! This is the Gospel of Christ, the only way of salvation for men. Give your life to Christ today! Jesus is Lord!

PRAISE REPORT

This is a letter I received recently from one of my daughters in Christ. Read and be blessed:

“Dear Malia,
I enjoyed more of God’s mercies on Monday afternoon. I was on the way when I noticed this heavy traffic, I didnt want stay on it. I got to a u-turn deciding to either returned back and use another route or take the opposite direction of the traffic. While I was still contemplating, a car from behind me took the opposite traffic.. I got my cue. Put on the hazard light and I followed the car. I was feeling lucky. Not too far from the point where I could exit from that lane, I noticed a school girl (14-17yrs), about to cross the road. she was looking at only one direction (which is expected) didn’t see me coming and entered the road. I knocked her down, her school bag landed on my shield, I held the brakes and stayed still. Lord, help.
I was wrong in every way, no way out. A lady started to scream and talk so shrilly at the other side of the traffic. I didn’t look her way at all. I needed help not panic. At the point I wanted to get out of the car, God stepped in. The school girl got up, waved her hand at the screaming lady to quieten her down and saying “I’m alright”. She walked up to my car and smiled at me still saying “I’m alright”.. She asked me to stop the wipers so she could pick her bag.. I did. I kept asking if she was fine, she answered. The shrilling lady had calmed down and also asked if she was sure about being fine. She picked her bag, looked both ways and crossed the street. (Interestingly, no car had passed from both directions)Still watching her, noticed one of her shoes was missing, I asked her, she told me, she had it and proceeded to wear it. At this point traffic had started building behind me, they were becoming agitated, not knowing what happened, they thought I was holding up the traffic. One drove past and wondered why I was looking at the girl. She started to walk away when I drove off in daze. Praying also that she truly stays fine…
What just happened?
The time I felt I gained could have been lost and much more spent. Death or injuries …how would I have coped knowing my irresponsibility had caused it..
Mercy, Mercy, God’s mercies.
Great deliverance The Lord has shown to me.
He plucked my feet from the net…
I see her face… She smiled at me…
I have been quiet but screaming inside. I have spontaneous shouts.. No words… All in awe of God.
This is our God. My refuge, strong tower. My rock of defence. He has shut the mouth of the accusers.. God has held me up.. He broaden the path beneath my feet so that I didn’t fall.
Like a flood, it could have been but He raised the standard.
The King over the floods has calmed the raging storms.
My heart rejoices.. My God is mighty. My heavenly Father is always with me even in my my wrong judgement.
Speechless as it is but my heart is bursting in gratitude..
Overwhelmed by Grace…

My answer to her:
“Dear…
Thank God! Praise God! For life, for lessons, for grace!
Share your testimony (for this is what it is)! Give God all the glory! I think that God wants you to wake up and see the protection and grace He gives you. You cannot experience this and be the same! Do not run away from your emotions! Feel them! Anxiety, pain, shame, fear…feel them all! Confront them! Deliver yourself from them! Follow only the lead of the Holy Spirit and not the easy path! Lastly, I agree with you…Jesus is Lord over you! To God be all the glory!

This is part of the exhortation from our prophetic prayer meeting this evening. It is a call to true worship!

“Praise be to the Lord, for He has heard my cry for mercy.

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me.

My heart leaps for joy and with my song I praise Him” (Ps 28:6, 7)

Christianity is not a drama rehearsal. Christianity is not a joke. It is not an imagination. Christianity is real. It is a real life! To worship Jesus is real. Come to the feet of Jesus… Do not step on them… Come and touch them… Come and worship at His feet… Come and wash them with your tears… Do not waste your tears for the devil… Come and give your tears to Jesus… You say: ‘Pastor, I do not see the feet of Jesus…’…But I see them…For me they are real… I touch them… Come closer… Let the miracle happen!

‘Down at Your feet Oh, Lord, is the most high place…In Your presence Lord, I seek Your face…I live to worship You…’ Down at Your feet Oh, Lord I lift up my eyes and I seek Your face…I see Your face… In Your presence the world fades away….I see the King in His beauty and I see nothing else…Your song is my strength and my shield…in Your presence I fear nothing…The Lord has heard my cry for mercy…My heart trusts in Him…God helps me…men fail and disappoint, but my Lord helps me…my God is the faithful God…my heart leaps for joy…I praise You…I worship You…I bow before You… I love You in the morning…I love you at noon time…I love You in the evening…I love You in the darkest night…’

Tomorrow many people shall come to church…they shall be received, surrounded and covered by the Holy Spirit Himself, at the entrance…They will not be able to resist the love of God…they shall give their lives to Christ…The angels in heaven are tuning their harps in preparation for tomorrow… Many souls shall be saved tomorrow thru our church service…the anointing is increasing…there is an open heaven over us…the Holy Spirit is pouring God’s love and fills the sanctuary… Tomorrow shall be great…we live because Christ lives…

’When I look over the sea, the mountains and the hills, O Lord, Your awesome love, Your glory is all I see…When I consider Your love, Your loving-kindness and Your faithfulness…In all the earth, there is no one else like You…How Beautiful You are.. How marvelous You are…I live to worship You…”

“Do not neglect the gift that is in you…” (1Tim 4:14)
Each born again child of God has a deposit of the Holy Spirit in his heart. This is basic. He also has at least one spiritual gift so he can serve the Lord. This gift is given by the Holy Spirit for the glory of God and the benefit of the brethren. If you are a child of God, then you shall give an account to God for the gift He has given to you. It is your duty to stir the gift and not neglect it.

To neglect a gift it means to be careless with it, to disrespect it, to fail to use it or to appreciate it. It also means to be un-excited about it, to refuse to acknowledge it or to praise God for it. The gift remains dormant like a seed un-planted lying on the hard pavement. There is great potential in the gift but it all comes to nothing. The neglect of the gift gives the impression that God has not blessed you with anything special. You look like a prince that has no food to eat. People know that there is something wrong with you but they cannot find the way to help you.

“Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2Tim 1:6, 7)

If you are a born again child of God, the Holy Spirit is deposited in you. The Holy Spirit will also give you at least one gift so that you can serve God. Most believers have more than one gift. You are commanded to identify and to continue to stir up that gift deposited in you. God is God and you are you! God gives you the gift and you have to stir it up! It is your holy duty! God will ask for an account of your gift!

“And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren” (Lk 22:31, 32)

This conversation between our Lord and Peter is just before the Cross. Jesus warns him and encourages him in the same time. ‘Satan has asked for you…’ Satan, the accuser of the brethren has asked for permission to ‘sift’ Peter. Interestingly, that permission was granted by God. The word ‘asked’ is a strong word meaning ‘insisting, demanding to come for trial’. This reminds us that the devil is a personality and not just an ‘evil influence’. Here we see that some of the devil’s wicked desires are granted to him by God. In particular, the devil shall enjoy sifting the believers. But the process of sifting shall give glory to God at the end. To sift it means to violently shake something with the intent to separate the components. In particular, sifting wheat means to shake the grains until both chaff and impurities go away and only the good grain remains.

This is a great revelation: the devil is allowed by God to shake, to sift, nations and people.  In the following verse the devil is called ‘the man’: “Is this the man who made the earth tremble, who shook kingdoms; who made the world as a wilderness and destroyed its cities, who did not open the house of his prisoners?” (Is 14:16, 17)

Peter boasted of eternal love for Jesus but he did not know his weakness and he was ignorant of his fears. The sifting shall remove all fleshly empty boasting, religious worship and flattery praises. The fleshly things shall be shaken and fall but the eternal things of the Kingdom shall remain. This is the promise of God: “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.” Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain” (Heb 12:26, 27). The faith of the believers shall be purified and become like gold that passes thru fire. Maturity and strength shall be the result of shaking and sifting.

At the Cross, our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Prince of Peace and the Desired of the Nations, completely destroys the power of the devil and ends the sifting. No man can stop the process of ‘sifting’ except our Lord Jesus Christ and His intercession. Behind the devil our Lord is the One who supervises and limits the loss. Jesus winnows His grain. “His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” (Mt 3:12). This is the promise of our eternal High Priest, that during all trials His prayer shall sustain us and His grace shall be sufficient to carry on. ‘I have prayed for you…” Say it to yourself: “Jesus Christ prays for me, right now!” That is all I need to know right now!

The devil wants to destroy your faith but Jesus says that your faith shall not fail. The devil wants you to backslide but Jesus says that no one of His sheep shall be lost. The devil wants to destroy the unity of the Spirit in the Church and in your marriage. But the end of such a trial of fire is joyful strength that shall be a testimony to the other brethren. I encourage you to look unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of your faith! Kings and kingdoms shall pass away, but there is something about Your name…JESUS…“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Rom 8:38, 39)

The road may have been long and difficult but your future is better than anything you have imagined! The glory of Christ shall be revealed to the nations! The hearts of men shall be purified and they shall see the Lord! The weeping shall be replaced with rejoicing! The weak shall be strong and the poor shall be rich! There is a turning of the tables! The praises shall increase! The church shall be stronger! Your marriage shall be sweeter! Great shall be your children’ peace! May Christ glorify Himself in your life today!

PRAYER REQUEST
A young man in his early thirties who attends our church was killed by armed robbers last night. He was walking home when some criminals came in a ke-ke asking for his cell phone. We do not know the details but they shot him in the abdomen. He was rushed to a hospital, had emergency surgery but died this morning. He leaves behind a young wife (who is pregnant) and a two years old daughter. They were in the church yesterday when we had our Holy Communion service.

PRAISE REPORT (the next day)

This is good news! In the midst of darkness , the light of God shines! This morning we prayed that God will glorify Himself in this painful situation! We prayed that what the devil meant for bad, God will turn it into good! This testimony is given to the glory of God, to the shame of the devil and for the encouragement of the believers!
Some sisters came this afternoon to give me the testimony concerning the young widow. She was better today. She was still weeping but she insisted to take care of her daughter. She fed her baby by herself. She told the sisters from the church who are there to visit her that something special happened at the hospital. The husband survived the surgery. When he became conscious he asked to see his wife and daughter. He then blessed them. He then removed his marriage ring and gave it back to her. He made peace with God and with his family. He told them he is ready to go to God. He prayed and he died in perfect peace. This window of grace was given to him by God so that he can settle his soul and confirm the testimony of salvation. He did it to eliminate any doubts. As a church, we also have peace that, by the grace of God, he died as a believer in Christ. To God be all the glory!

PRAISE REPORT

I just received this letter from one of the young men in our church.

“Good morning Ma’am.

During the period of the passing over to the new place I have been gripped with one kind fear , fear of armed robbers coming into our house, fear that something will happen to my family as they are coming home from the market, plenty different fears , fear that when I am driving police will stop me for what I don’t even know, then the most gripping one is fear that Effurun boys will break into the new site of our church, just plenty nonsense fears…

I became lean spiritually, I sought the face of God , and waited with hope that on Saturday class God may give a solution to conquer this fear, …. I came to church last night with one heart. “Oh Lord I want to see you and know what is needed to know to conquer this fear”

In the midst of the service, it was like fire, water, oil, and the blood of Jesus, together poured on my clothes the stain stuck and the fear swallowed …I got a deep understanding of the word of God ” Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil:” I asked myself even if the worst happens, I will not turn back or relent in my chase after God…After this miracle, the blessings and assurance of God overshadowed my senses. I felt free…I didn’t have the power to not share it with you to the Glory of God in Jesus name Amen.

My answer to him:

Thank God for everything! You can see that all our problems are basically spiritual. If we do not deal with them with spiritual means provided for us in the Bible, we may fall into the natural trials and temptations. The Effurun boys shall come to church, not to steal and rob, but to give their lives to Christ. “There is no fear in Love for perfect love drives away all fears” (1Jn 4:18). You are a child of God! Love God and man! Then you shall be fear free!
